Good breakfast, good location

TV only for Germans!! Front desk either nonexistent or totally useless. For such an expensive hotel, terrible quality towels. Instead of shampoo and body lotion, a single liquid of unknown origin!

location is great, I liked the room very much, the garden in the back, the location was amazing and the eating areas were also great!

parking is a little tight- but not more than normal in Europe

we needed a bed for two, not two single beds pushed together, which is what “premium” apparently means here.

The staff were great, and very willing to help -- when I went down to the restaurant to get a snack, one of the staff happily carried the tray up to my room. And when I had anxiety about parking in the narrow space (quite normal for Germany), the front desk staff came out and helped & encouraged me.

The close-up mirror in the bathroom is installed so high that only people over 5 ft 7 can use it. I've seen this before at Romantik hotels, and wonder if there is a policy for all properties about it. There are only a few outlets in the room, which is inadequate for today, when most travellers use 2 or more devices. I had to unplug a lamp to power my devices. A USB power strip would be useful. The balcony was tiny and angled badly so that the room got little sun. The hotel information booklet in the room said there was room service, but I was informed there was none.

The location was fantastic, and everything was spotless. They are taking COVID-19 seriously. The welcome sekt was a nice surprise. It is right across the street from the Meersburg therme as well as the access point to the lake for swim and sunbathing. Dinner at Casala was delicious although quite pricey. Definitely a very special occasion type place.
