Very good location , lovely property .

We loved this nice little house with a surprisingly large amount of space. Very well kept and charming, antique interior. The house had more to offer than we would have hoped for, also having a bathroom and a separate toilet. The location was perfect - walking distance to the town centre, 2 min. to a calm and clean pebble beach and many restaurants and pubs around.

There was not much to complain about. Some sharp kitchen knives might be a good addition. That's really all the negatives I can think of.

Location, quite central. Character filled house. Owner very communicative. Floorboards spoke to us.

Stairs could be an issue for the quite elderly or infants. Require a bassinet. Stored our six cases in the entry lounge area as wouldn't try to get them upstairs. Worked ok.

Nice sized accommodation. We liked the conservatory-style breakfast room. The lower floor TV and seating were excellent. The house was warm and cosy. Really nice feel to the whole house.

No parking - not that you can do anything about that. We parked about 400yds away on every day - seemed perfectly safe - and we could unload the car right outside the property. The stairs were steep which did not bother us but it might cause problems to the less mobile. A better screen for the shower would have been useful.

The property is in a great location, easily walkable to the shops, seafront, restaurants and pubs. The house had everything we needed for our short stay. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the conservatory each morning. Cath provided all the information necessary - the parking map was particularly helpful - and we managed to visit a couple of the recommended pubs too! We had never been to Deal before and can't wait to go back again now!

I cannot think of anything we did not like! The spiral staircases were a bit of a surprise, especially for our 70+ and 80+ parents, but they got used to them.

Location to visit Deal and environs was very good. Parking easy and free although not on the premises as the cottage is in a conservation area and therefore an old property and street. The cottage is very well equipped for a larger group than us.

There was nothing to dislike. The information sent from the host was very comprehensive and she replied to any questions raised prior to the visit promptly.

Samphire House was full of charm and character, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you might need. We particularly loved the snug, conservatory, blue bathroom and the views across the rooftops from the little window on the top floor and the beds were very comfortable so we all slept very well every night. We enjoyed exploring Deal, Walmer Castle, beautiful Broadstairs and Wingham Wildlife Park on the way home.
