There are 3 hotels in the Sol area - Mare is one of them. Our stay was really nice except food. The pool and slides were 1 min walk from the hotel. The pool was nice opened from 9 till 7. Slides (opened 9:30-12:30, 13:30-16) were great, especially rocky river and the blue once. Nice lifeguards watching guests safety. There were a lot of activities for adults and kids during the day including kids club and nice evening show started at 9:30 just after kids disco - different show every day. After closing the swimming pool your kid can take other activities in reasonable price (e.g. water cars for 4 leva). There were some places serving german food, fish and chips, ice cream and so on besides the main restaurant. The beach area was also nice with plenty of loungers and play ground. Our room was clean. Waiters did they job really great.
The food in the main restaurant was a little bit tasteless. There were small range of food for kids. The changing room after check out was dirty and awfull.

Pool area and beach by the hotel were good. Nice slides, something for everyone, and pretty good amount of chairs by the pool. Chairs on the beach free only for the guests of Sol Nessebar Palace (others had to pay for chairs and umbrellas 10 lev/item). Beach was clean (currents brought some seaweed, but nothing too bad), not too crowded. Some beach activities available (e.g. parasailing, banana boats, jet ski etc.). Sandy beach by the hotel. If you wander further, the beach is more rocky.
Sol Nessebar Hotels consist of three hotels (Mare, Palace and Bay), all located next to each other having a common pool area. All pools in use for all hotel guests, all together 4 pools + children's shallow pool area and fountains. Room big and clean. Really nice view from the balcony (Hotel Palace Pool view had a partial sea view). Cleaning was top notch! Also bar waiters, especially at lounge bar and Beer Garden, super nice and friendly! A large variety of food available basically all the time, all included in the all inclusive. Each hotel has their own buffet, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. On top of that there are several restaurants/pubs/kiosks, that serve snacks and fast food during the day. You can choose from burgers and hod dogs, pizza, fries, paninis, German bretzels, sausage and sauerkraut, paella or fish and chips. Ice cream, cake and fruit also available. In the evening, a sushi bar and late night snacks at lobby bar. Drinks available everywhere from 10 am till 11 pm. In addition to this you can also book a table at a Chinese and Italian restaurant once per week. Food was okay, there was a lot of it and for sure something for everyone. Everything served from a buffet, no a la carte, not even the Italian and Chinese restaurants.
Location okay. Bus stops near the hotel. Busses cheap, only 2 lev/adult. Easy to travel to Nessebar old town and Sunny Beach. Ask about the busses at the reception. Free busses to water parks.
Reception wasn't the best place to ask for information. Some receptionists weren't too friendly and many of them didn't seem to know a lot about the area, activities or even the hotel.
Asked about the possibility to book day trips and scuba diving trips from the reception. The answer was that they don't have anything available and the best advise to ask the locals. XD
(A couple of exceptions to this though, had a really nice young bearded fellow, who helped us with everything we needed. Recommend to book a taxi to the airport (70 lev) through reception, a bit cheaper than from taxi stands. If you are interested in scuba diving, we recommend Angel divers in Nessebar Old Town, located in the harbour. Good trips, good price including pick up from hotel and awesome instructors!)
Food was okay, nothing too amazing, especially at the buffet. Chinese hot pot was fun, had to cook your own meal, a lot of sea food available. Were a little bit disappointed of the fact that there was actually no a la carte. Everything was self service.
Beware of the giant seagulls at the pool area. They are enormous and they will eat your food if left unattended. Please don't feed them.
Many of the activities (such as zorb balls by the pools, mini carting, air hockey etc.) for extra charge. Daytime activities (water aerobics, children's club etc.) were free.

Very nice green area, very well maintained. The staff was friendly.
The hotel is not modern but is fine. Is not like a 5 stars hotel but is was a nice stay.

Close to the shore.
The staff was unwelcoming due to her inability to confirm payment through Booking on a non-working day. The free beach area in front of the hotel is small and narrow for the number of guests. The water slides were running reduced hours each day, which were getting shorter and shorter.

Conditions, food, water park, beyond praise. Large territory. Staff. Everything at the highest level. Parking lot (even though it's paid). An incredibly cool place for children.
I was unpleasantly surprised by the absence of beach loungers for this hotel. Additionally, the beach and the water were not cleaned as thoroughly as they were for the neighboring hotel of the same chain. Because of this, I lowered my ratings.

The food was great, lots of variety from healthy vegetables, fruits, salads to many side dishes and meat. There was a special Bulgarian night when they served delicious Bulgarian meals. The staff was helpful. Clean. Nice terraces at the sea.
Too loud noise and music, especially around the stage - it was unbearable at lunch time.

The water slides and the pools are great - very convenient when you are with a nine year old . It’s very nice that there is a football playground. The food is good , so as the air conditioning. The staff on the reception desk and bars are nice and smiling .
In general everything is very good . Unfortunately my son tripped on an unsecured shaft and cut deeply his ankle. I went to ask the pool lifeguard for a bandaid and it turned out their first aid kit wasn’t fully stocked so there wasn’t a bandaid. He went to look for it and managed to bring one a little bit smaller than the wound. I alarmed the reception desk that there is unsecured shaft over which people with wet feet walk on and there is a big chance that somebody else might trip and fell. Well, nothing happened I the next days to the said shaft and people were constantly sliding over it . I think they finally covered it with some fake grass after 3 days .
The all inclusive wine is terrible , it’s like the worst possible you can get . The spirits are fine.
Save for the bad injury experience and the wine , everything else in general is very good.

Location is great
The staff, language, most of the people are Czech, you have to pay almost for everything while it's called all inclusive, the food was super no good, especially the buffet

Everything was nice and comfortable.
They have a great aqua park, delicious food (which is different every day), magnificent evening shows, great sport activities and kids animation. The animation team is very happy, joking and wonderful!

Great facilities for children
The water in the pools was too cold, no possibility to have an espresso coffee and paid parking!

Territory, location, good for kids
Disgusting food, dirty in the bathroom in the room, bad smell in the bathroom, dirty pools on the territory, terrible quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails in bars

Lunch Options could be better - there was same menu almost every day

Food was good to very good. The strangest thing in the first days, was the fact not all the products have been found to Palace comparing with Mare restaurant (for example the honeycombs).
Changing the room from Sol Mare to Sol Bay without being informed us. We noticed this at our arrival at the hotel while they moved from one reception to the other in order to get our room. Probably because of this modification, they offer us a room with a partially view to the sea and also gave access to Palace all facilities except the main pool.
