Breakfast was very good on day 1 and service was excellent. However on day 2, it was a complete shambles and the food took 45 minutes after ordering. Also the two staff kept saying it would be 5 minutes whenever I asked about it. To cap it all there were no sausages, only a teaspoon of beans and no apology. I invited my son to join me and his pancakes arrived 40 minutes before mine! So disappointing after day 1. You really need to manage the restaurant better.

location good, was initially pleased with the price on looking at the pictures- seemed good value for money

when I got there no clear signs as to hotel reception desk. bedding was clean but bathroom filthy and distinct problem with silver fish- in the morning there were at least 10 of them in the bath! toilet dirty and sink plug stuck closed so have to hold it up to drain water away.

The staff was great and the restaurant exceeded our expectations with the food options, especially for my brother who has celiac disease. There are also great cider options too.

There was no hand soap in the bathroom and they could have been cleaned better. The beds aren’t comfortable and there were people in the neighbouring room who could be heard talking well into the early morning. Also the maid service cleaned my brother’s room but not ours.

Fire procedure inadequate.Fire alarm went off middle of night, no staff or fire procedure after congregating in car park.DANGEROUS. No effective security in middle of night, violent fight erupted , no security available to re assure guests, or control fighting.Emergency services called after 4 hours, no re assurance input from security. The site is UNSAFE for guests. Poor wc plumbing in ensuing (noisy cistern), walls very thin, sound travels from one roon to another, poor sound insulation.

The customer service was amazing the bar staff were friendly. room was clean and pleasant.

location is fantastic, the food was really good especially breakfast. the main part of the hotel room was clean, modern and well equipped. friendly staff.

the bathroom in the room came from a different era and the bath/shower combo was poor. the boathouse bar and restaurant service was slow even with app ordering but most disappointed in how dirty and unclean this area was. everything stuck to the the tables and the toilets here were disgusting. I also feel that for the price of the stay, breakfast could be included in the room rate

Easy to check in. Rooms OK, easy and convenient parking.

Not warned about road closure. Had to find long alternate route myself without any guidance, in foul weather. Tried to call the hotel to ask route advice but no answer.

Bar and food areas unwelcoming, some pool staff rude - tutted when I asked to use the jacuzzi on 05/10/2021 at 7am and complained she had to go outside to turn it on as it was 'pissing it down'. Bar staff brought me chicken meal after I stressed I was vegetarian. Loud, drunk swearing men in bar made my brief time their horrible. It rained heavily and the reception flooded - got soaking wet on entering. The road to access the hotel was blocked by road works - nobody warned me, so spent a very unpleasant 40 minutes trying to locate a diversion to the park.

Location was perfect. Just a short 20 minute walk to the cliffs and a 10 minute walk to the wedding venue.

Absolutely no sound insulation. Everything that goes on in the hallway and outside is very loud in the room. Would recommend bringing earplugs. The bed was okay, pillows, not great.

The hallway stunk of cannabis and was places on a completely separate hallway to our child

Good enough for what we needed

Room was basic but had everything we needed, bar and restaurant quite grubby but only there for a couple of nights. Only problem in the room was a ripped curtain which could have been easily repaired or replaced. The site itself needs some serious maintenance and tidying up.

It was near to the docks. The site seemed nice.

The noisy pipes in the room. We advised the hotel after our stay, they said we should have told them before check out - there was no-one there for check out as we left very early. It was a sleepless night.
