Very friendly and welcoming staff, relaxing atmosphere and wonderful location in the middle of the New Forest with ponies and cows wondering around the car park. The breakfast was delicious, especially the strawberries and raspberries and wonderful eggs.

Lovely friendly pub with nice food and cle An rooms

The room was fine. Clean, tidy and generally comfortable. The breakfast and evening dinner we had at the pub was very good and reasonably priced. There was a good selection of drinks and the staff were polite and helpful.

Two things that were a little disappointing; 1/ the small terraced area outside the room looks straight onto the car park. So, not particularly quiet or private during pub opening hours. Not really a problem for us but future guests should be aware of this in advance. 2/ entry / exit to the pub from the garden means having to go via a narrow section of the bar where locals congregate for a drink. Whilst I fully understand that as regulars, they spend far more money during the year than visiting guests, the language they use is not particularly pleasant and gives an immediate negative (and unfair) impression of the Turfcutters Arms.

Great mix of bed and breakfast and self catering. Handy to have the pub next door if you’d prefer them to cook your evening meal.

Staff really nice very accommodating when hearing about sleep problems due to mattress changed us to different room without any fuss or bother

The room was very nice, with its own little fenced area out front, handy when you have a dog. The pub was great and very dog friendly as well, and it closed early enough that you weren't disturbed in the later evening in the rooms. We really enjoyed our evening meal and pint on the evening we arrived, and the breakfast was really nice and clearly featured local food, including strawberries that literally came from across the road! The staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty - so appreciated! It is in a great location within the New Forest, extremely peaceful and just a few miles from Lymington, etc.

The only downside was we had the only room that didn't have a window as well as a door so it got a bit stuffy at times, but they did provide a nice floor fan to help.

Lovely place to stay. Rooms were well maintained. Shower was very good. Staff were great. Simon couldn’t do enough for us. Delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend 😀 would definitely return 😁

breakfast was excellent. being a pub it meant we could have drinks & meals without driving. Very good staff.

some corners were not as clean as many would expect, but this did not affect our stay. Parking was difficult when the pub was busy.

Simon and his team provide the finest example of hospitality. The rooms are comfortable, food is excellent and the service superb. Highly recommended
