Staff were very helpful, amenable and extremely friendly. Food was well presented and tasty. Good portions. Good selection of beers. On site parking. Plenty of in room refreshments.

Room was chilly on arrival and during the night with no option to turn heating on but was warm when heating did come on during the evening and morning.

Room was a good size and a very good breakfast

Mattress was lumpy and the "double bed" was 2 single beds pushed together. The bin was emptied but none of the used towels were removed from the bathroom floor.

Beautiful warm welcoming pub in a beautiful village. Great home cooked food, warm welcome, great beer!

Is not a criticism at all, but the hotel is quite old-fashioned. To us this added to the charm. It's a great place to stay.

Great breakfast, location

Rooms above the pub, we had to ask for the heating to be turned on, we needed some warmth outside of the times heating hours! Rooms outside the pub that some of our party had, didn’t need to!

Great bed and breakfast at a lovely traditional pub. Fantastic beers on the bar and good food served. The room was cosy with comfortable bed. The bathroom was bright and clean. TV on the wall, dressing table for getting ready plus hairdryers to use. WiFi connection was good. Really enjoyed the breakfast, a good selection. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Amazing location.

Fantastic location right in the centre of the village, superb beers which are brewed behind the pub in their very own micro brewery.

Stayed with a group of friends. Our room was very clean and very spacious. It was very comfortable and offered great views over the hills and village. The pub downstairs was great: lovely and cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Our group really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend the Black Bull Inn to anyone wanting to stay in Coniston.

The location, staff and food were all great. The room and bed was very comfortable and loved the size of the room.

Warm and friendly pub hotel with welcoming staff. Great location with good variety of local beers. Private carpark. Central locationl for walking, mountaineering, climbing, watersports. Would not hesitate to book again.

Food prices but that's due to inflation increases, wage increases and holding on to good conscientious staff.

The location and friendliness of staff was great. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Food and beer at the Black Bull are excellent. We had breakfast and evening meal.

A couple of minor things... the kettle in the room required the holding down of the switch to make it boil. I think the batteries for the TV remote might need changing as the TV was tricky to get to turn on and off. We weren't in the room much so not a major issue.
