Love how sustainable it was and the food made was amazing. Also loved all the advice given on travelling and visiting other areas of the island

The location was incredible for access to private natural swimming pools and for a complete get away from the bustle of everyday life. Food was exceptional - breakfast cooked by Stoney and dinner by Marcus & the opportunity to cook at the cooking school. Private and a real personal touch completed the perfect slice of paradise that is Papaya Villa.

The only downside is that being off-grid, you cannot use hair driers or kettles but Stoney provided jugs of hot water for tea and coffee and the sun dried my hair - it was a relief to be away from it all and relax into island living! The drive out of town is about 30 minutes over a pot-holed road if you want to enjoy eating out.

Everything :) Marcus & Stoney have created the perfect home away from home in their little slice of paradise. Papaya Villa is the place to go if you want to check out from life and enjoy the natural bliss of Vanuatu. With a private beach and some exceptional snorkelling right at the doorstep of the property, the location couldn't be more perfect if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle. Accommodation is clean & comfortable with everything you need to feel at home when not at home. Marcus and Stoney are the perfect hosts, offering help and guidance in getting around and where to go, serving up delicious breakfasts to start every day and cooking the most amazing dinners that were served up with exceptional dinner conversation. As a solo traveler, I felt extremely comfortable at Papaya Villa and am so glad this was the place I chose to spend my holiday. I will most definitely be back!

Honestly nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect for what I was wanting for this holiday which was total relaxation and not having to think about anything.

Private beach, amazing rooms, magnificent hosts. Do rent a car when you’re in Port Vila and drive around. This place is not in town but it’s so worth it driving the 15-20 minutes from town, as the road to the villa is stunning. 5 nights is not enough. Thanks Marcus and Shoran!

The owners made it the best stay ever....and the private beach....and the natural, warm lap pool. Really was out of this world!
