We all really enjoyed our time at this house. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to have a stress free stay. The location is convenient to everything the Lakes Region has to offer and the checkout process was simple and hassle free. I will definitely be returning when I’m in the area visiting family again. The house was perfect for our quick weekend birthday celebration. We enjoyed the house and the space. Was very happy our dogs could join us. Didn’t get to enjoy the lake because it wasn’t quite warm enough. But will come again.

Great location for winter getaway. Close to skiing, town and lake to ice skate or walk in. Beds were comfy and place was clean.

Location was convenient for us and I'd say great for summer, so close to the lake. Check in and out was very easy. The house itself is laid out great and clean with plenty of beds. I would recommend this place in a minute. Communication was also solid.

This place 100% redeemed Maine for our family. Photos don’t do justice for the three large bedrooms, super efficient and stocked kitchen, and comfy living areas. Loved that it is a shoe-free home. Bathrooms very clean and even the shampoo/conditioner was nice (which was great since I forgot ours). I would definitely stay here again!

I'll admit I was slightly trepidatious upon booking, but this house far surpassed expectations. It is well appointed and far larger feeling than the online pictures would suggest. Super convenient to Pleasant Mountain, too. Great place for skiing.

The home was very clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The location to down town Bridgton and close access to the water was great. We spent every day down by the water and the Sandy beach made getting in and out of the water easy for our little ones. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Highland Lake. The house was very clean. Plenty of towels and we appreciated the supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and even shampoo. The window AC units in the bedrooms were also appreciated on several warm nights. There is a nice view of the lake from the deck, where we ate many of our meals. The walk down to the lake and the shared beach area was quick and easy. Highland Lake is beautiful and clean. We were pleasantly surprised that the house had two single kayaks in addition to the double kayak and canoe mentioned in the listing. This allowed several of us to be out on kayaks exploring the lake together. The town of Bridgton was also fun to explore with many cute shops and restaurants. Dawn was quick to respond to any questions I had. She has put together a binder at the house with a lot of useful information about the area, as well as detailed photos showing how to access the shared beach area. Overall we had a great vacation -- thank you Dawn and Andy.

Very grateful to have found this property. We love traveling with our dog and sometimes the places we stay aren't the best, as if the owners have given up on keeping the place clean. This place was the opposite - they went to great lengths to keep the property clean and nice. The location can't be beat either. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. House is super cute, simple layout with open space for gathering and nice sized bedrooms. Very well stocked and a nice view of the lake. Close to other camps with a small shared beach, well kept landscape and friendly neighbors. Very close to downtown Bridgton and hiking trails.

Our family would highly recommend this lovely home in Bridgeton, Maine. Communication with our host, Dawn was immediate. The home decor was beautiful, and we loved the ease of the lake for our 3 year old grandson. Top marks all around. Thank you Dawn for everything. Perfect vacation.

View to Lake is spectacular! There is plenty of room. 2 adults and a 7 year old had the upstairs and we had the main floor. The kitchen is nicely equipped and we were able to do our dinners there. The laundry is so convenient and we used it during our stay. Dawn always provides all sheets, towels, and sundry goods, which is a HUGE bonus. She answers email questions quickly. And the house is located very close to downtown Bridgton. You will love it!

This was a really cute house on the lake that was very comfortable for 5 adults and 2 dogs. The house is nicely stocked with staples needed for cooking, etc. Communication with owner was excellent. The location is close to restaurants and shopping.

Dawn's home was the perfect spot for our group of 6 adults and a couple of dogs. Check-in/Check-out and all commmunication with Dawn was quick and easy. Quiet area with super friendly neighbors. We were able to take the dogs out on the frozen lake for a fun walk and we skiied Sunday River one day (~50min drive). House is very clean, kitchen is well stocked and we had plenty of space - beds were comfortable too! If you are coming in winter, a car with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive is certainly ideal. We had a blast and hope to come back another time!

The house was perfect for our group: 5 adults and an old dog and infant. Very well appointed kitchen with lots of supplies. Quiet spot even though right on the road, and friendly neighbors. Very responsive property manager,and 10 minutes to Nordic ski or alpine ski and we skates on the lake. Fun times thanks!

Location to Shawnee peak and to town is perfect. The house is very nice and comfortable for 6 adults. Everything is updated and clean. The owner got back to me very quickly with any questions I had.

The house was clean, bright, and comfortable for our party of 4 and our small dog. The lake view and village of Bridgton are very picturesque. The major issue we had was the road and driveway were icy, making it difficult to unload the car and get out early to ski each day. It snowed several times during our visit and the road was not plowed promptly, requiring us to shovel. The sand provided was stored outside and was frozen solid. In addition, the washer was left in a winterized state with antifreeze in it and was unusable. A cleaning cycle did not resolve the issue.

Beautiful, quiet property overlooking the lake. Pictures are very accurate, immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need. Perfect retreat!

We LOVED staying at Dawn’s place. It was incredibly clean and well kept, right on the lake, with everything you could possibly need. Neighbors were quiet and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. Just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. Also, Dawn responded right away with any questions. She made the process easy. We would definitely come back to her place to enjoy another getaway!

This rental afforded us all that we could ask for in our stay at Highland Lake. Dawn is a gracious host and I strongly recommend this rental to anyone considering it (as long as you are not considering the same dates as i am :-)

We stayed for three weeks in June. We arrived late at night, but access was easy. The house is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen is well-appointed. We had ample room for a family of 4. AC in the bedrooms was great on the few hot nights during our stay. We do recommend knowing how to use Roku before your stay. The lake is steps away, beautiful, and great for the kids. The house is stocked with kayaks, canoes, and life jackets. We kayaked and swam almost every day. The hosts and prior guests have also left some very good books to read! The neighbors were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. This house is a great choice for a lake vacation or to explore the lakes region of Maine!

Dawn and Andy were incredibly hospitable and responsive. Beautiful place and would 10/10 rent again!

House was clean, well-equipped for eating in and sundry goods...Owner was responsive to all inquiries...TV was roku which was fine cause we have Netflix, etc. Overall, very comfortable rental!!

This was a great rental - you clearly know what people need when they are on vacation. The house was well-stocked and so clean and comfortable. We couldn't believe the house was 10 years old. It felt brand new!
