The hotel thought of everything to make your stay pleasurable
4.5
It‘s a very luxurious hotel aprox. 15 minutes from Etosha’s Anderson Gate. The rooms/tents are very nice and spacious. The dinner menu was great! The game drive was also really nice.
There wasn’t a specific thing that we didn’t like, but taking the price into account, there are just some details that should be improved. For instance, there were many instances when the staff was just chatting and we would have to go ask them, if we could order something from the bar.
Also, the rooms get really hot despite the air conditioning, so you have to close the curtains all day and can’t enjoy the nice terrace.

Location great
Service average.
Food good
Overpriced.
Staff friendly, mostly but need 5 star training.
Rooms excessively hot - No blockout during 11:00 t0 16:00. AC does not really help.
Game drive, at least one should be included.
Need a sunset drive on property.

Very posh Interieur and they even had gluten-free food

The location is really nice, you can see the animals come around the lodge at all time.
The deco of the rooms and the main lodge are really well thought
The walk in the bush.
The food was fantastic. The best in Namibia.
The bush walk with the Guide was very interesting and educational, we spent over 2hours in the bush. The guide who is from the North of Namibia also shared the history of Namibia and the different culture that makes this beautiful country. A smart young man with a good general knowledge.
The Air conditioning runs only while your in the room since it needs your room key to activate.
You would need to ask for a spare key to keep it running because it gets very warm and the AC itself is not the best I have experienced. However the night cools the room nicely.
We did a game drive and had a lady guide for the day. I can't say she was very concern by the customer satisfaction, her knowledge was poor or she just did not show any interest. Drove fast and if you could ask once or twice to stop to enjoy the moment, her body language was all negative. No thank you and good bye despite the usual for tip at the end of the day.
The next day, we did the bush walk with another guide who s originally from the north of Namibia. This was a very interesting walk, very educational. (see the like comment)

We stayed in 6 different locations in Namibia and this was definitely one of the best. It has everything on your doorstep - the wildlife, location, staff, architecture and design, comfort, friendly staff. Highly recommend!!
Wifi isn't great

Absolutely fantastic in every way. Wonderful lodge with incredible staff who could not do enough to help. We had a problem in the park with our car and 2 staff devoted 5 hours of their rest time to help us. I rarely go back to the same place but I will return as soon as possible to this lodge.
I can not find a single fault.
3.5
stunning product, great location, good food, very nice Chalet, close to Etosha
no internet, staff at reception come across that you are lucky to stay there, claimed internet was down due to rain, still down days after only sun shine, petrol station next to lodge super wifi ????????

very close to Anderson gate - great location
beautiful scenery with two waterholes, lots of animals
very friendly staff and amazing rooms
AC was not the best and did not cool down the room properly during the day

We visited during off-season so hotel was very quiet. However staff were extremely accommodating throughout our stay and the food each evening was fantastic...normally five courses. Room far exceeded expectations; it was huge with a very comfortable bed and outside seating (chairs and loungers). We opted for a guided safari drive on our last day which was great. Even better the hotel let us keep the room for the remainder of the day until we were ready to leave. We stayed in other hotels in Namibia that made us check out ahead of any morning tour meaning we couldn't have shower etc whewn we got back. It's a small thing but it really made a difference to us after a long and very early start!

such a beautiful lodge stunning views with waterhole and rhinos visiting, 4 course dinner was such great quality, game drive with Anna was one of the best she has such incredible knowledge. rooms huge and stunning beautifully decorated and comfy bed with aircon. highly recommend this place
didn’t like is too strong! but golf buggies would be useful to get to the farthest rooms as in this heat was quite tiring. wine in the mini bar would be great! these are only suggestions.

WiFi could be better in rooms

Everything was incredible! From the warm welcome of the security guard until every detail of the room and the main building. Only wanted to stay longer !
We stayed only one night to go to the East part of Etosha park the day after and we definitely should have stayed two nights to enjoy the area and a day gale drive in Etosha that was amazing.

Recently built, high quality finishings, great interior design, premium look and feel.
Spacious lodges with lots of privacy.
Wi-Fi, as it was satellite based, really didn’t work over the 3 days of our stay.
Purchasing a local Sim-card recommended.

The rhinos and the pool were amazing. All the lobby, lounge, sunset areas are wonderful. the tents are fabulous
To pay for a cappuccino during breakfast is not fair in my opinion. In this level of hotel, with this price, it has to be included for breakfast.

We had a premium family chalet which was large, private and luxurious. The air conditioning was effective and the beds comfortable. The room was cleaned in the morning and the beds turned down in the evening. The bathroom area was large with an excellent shower and an outside shower which was completely open with a great view of the bush. The terrace was large, comfortable and completely private with extensive views over the bush and no other buildings or walkways in view. Perfect privacy was ensured by the fact that guests are not allowed to stray from marked areas.
The common areas were spacious and luxurious and included three sets of sundowner seats where guests have a great view of the waterhole which was visited by several rhino, springbok and other animals each evening. The food was of a high standard and staff were pleasant and helpful..
The Anderson Gate of Etosha National Park is only a 15 minute drive away.
The wifi was unreliable (several devices were tried).
Dinner starts at a set time and each course served to guests simultaneously, meaning that we were unable to eat at a time and pace that suited us.

Very beautiful lodge. Very peaceful.
The staff is very professional
The food is good
This place is very well managed and I highly recommend this lodge.

The rooms are very spacious and perfectly equiped, we could stay here for weeks, outdoor shower, coffee and tea equipment in the room, the welcome, the fireplace lit every night, the food, the pool area, the animals (springbock, zebra, wilderbeast etc) at the propoerty (to be seen from rooms, restaurant, pool area etc., the breakfast and dinner was very good
Unfortunately the 6 Rhinos of the propoerty are not everyday at the waterhole as stated from other guests, I guess it depends on the season (we came here in April after a lot of rain, so the Rhinos have been somewhere at the property but we unfortunately did not see them - Of course this is not a flaw of the Lodge, but you should have the correct expectations), the choice of drinks from the menu for cocktails is good but the drinks can be improved. Unfortunately we had the worst drinks in our vacation (maybe the barkeeper was not working this day?)
4.5
In general a super lodge. Breakfast and Dinner very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Premises well maintained.
Rooms very comfortable.
Lodge Could perhaps have a room for handicapped with rail in shower and toilet.
Pool should have handle for senior citizens for easier access and exit.

Stunning property. Beautifully designed incorporating natural elements seamlessly with a luxury experience.
Fantastic and non-stop action at the watering hole.
AMAZING dinners. Chef Sammi(?)’s creations are equal to anything you’d find in a world class fine dining establishment.
Staff and management, without fail, were friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in our (the guests’) experience.
A nice selection of local products/crafts in the curio shop.
Ice cubes(!) in the mini-bar!
A great and convenient stop during our several day exploration of Etosha.e
No complaints!
(Etosha Oberland Lodge had the unfortunate circumstance of opening during Covid-19. We were the only guests during our two night stay. It would have been great to have had others there.)
5.0
It was an amazing experience. We would have loved to stay longer. Watching the animals, especially the rhinos, from the deck is just great. The staff is amazing. If you do not want to stay inside Etosha this is pretty much your closest option.
Our bad - We should have stayed longer.
