This was the perfect amount of space for 2 people. The space was very clean. We were above the Donkey Burger restaurant which did not open till around dinner time. They were playing music which did not bother us. This is a nice place to stay, and it is close to all the Stowe attractions.

The location of this property is good, but on arrival we discovered that the bed sheets were covered in hair from uncleaned throw pillows. Additionally it was warm in the apartment. A fan was not provided and only one window had a screen, so opening windows without letting bugs in was difficult. Finally, you are hit by a somewhat strong, but tolerable, odor of dog urine upon entering, since part of the apartment is carpeted. Outside of these issues, the cleanliness throughout the apartment was good and we enjoyed our stay. However, I would not stay here again.

Centrally located to a lot of restaurants and things to do but the only complaints we had are that the music downstairs in the bar can be a little too loud and bassy at night until the bar closes around 10pm, and we could not figure out how to work the tv. It appeared as though the remote didn’t work, and it was only set to one station and you couldn’t change the channel.other than that we had a great time

So we were a little hesitant with the place being right above the Blue Donkey…but when we realized they are only open 4-10 and are closed completely on Wednesdays and Thursdays that pretty much sealed the deal for us.
If you know Stowe, this location is impossible to beat. Alchemist is walkable, Apres is walkable, 2 minutes to Idletyme, 5 minutes to Docs, 8 minutes to minutes to the mountain.

This is a great place for 2 people. Our teenage son (our 3rd person) had an inadequate bed for the first two nights. The pull-out couch was broken and could not be slept on (barely sat on) but we found an air mattress. Turned out it had a hole so he slept on the floor. Same with another air mattress they brought in the next day. Had to sleep on the floor. Finally the 3rd night they brought in an air mattress that stayed inflated. Vacasa has not yet responded to my many requests for partial reimbursement for the lack of a bed for our 3rd person for 2 nights. Additionally Vacasa would not respond to us about how to dispose of our garbage, recycling and compost which was piling up over our 9 day stay. Hours spent trying to get a response! King size bed is very comfortable. The AC is loud in the bedroom but without out it on its way too hot. Good location near bike path. Bar below is a good spot for a beer and shuts down by 10. Not too loud even when open.

The property was perfect for our trip - all the amenities we needed and everything that we wanted to visit was well within driving distance. Only recommendation if someone was to travel in the summer bring a fan as the property doesn’t have AC. Would absolutely recommend this property for anyone looking for a Vermont getaway!

The apartment was clean and cozy and had all the amenities you could want in a vrbo stay. I loved that it was dog friendly and so close to Stowe - so easy to get there by car or by the bus that stops almost right in front of the lot you park in. My one negative comment is not the VRBO’s fault but I feel it’s necessary to note and remind people searching that the location above the bar does matter. Most nights the music ended early but Saturday night the bartender FORGOT to turn the music off and it played literally all night and into the morning. I’m a New Yorker noise doesn’t really bother me but it did make the floor vibrate in addition to the noise of it. Need to know if you’re a sensitive sleeper. Otherwise would stay again.

we really enjoyed it. it was perfect for what we needed. loved having the park in the back for the dogs to run around and play. there is a huge fenced in tennis court that the dogs were able to run free. didn’t hear any noise from the bar.

Overall a great place to stay! Great location, bed was comfy, having a full kitchen to cook meals in was great! Even went downstairs one night for a drink and the bar was a lot of fun! Only complaint I had was that I wish I was notified that the washer and dryer was out of order. We packed for skiing thinking we would be able to do a load of laundry between ski days, and with no washer or dryer that worked we ended up having to wear the same dirty ski gear again.

This is a great one bedroom located right off Mountain Road in Stowe. It was clean, comfortable and as advertised. Though our stay was only one night, it was a great spot and the process to check in and out was simple. Doggo Friendly as well!! Would recommend for a couple and pet.

The location is perfect for everything we wanted to do in Stowe! The apt is a great size for 2 people- very spacious bedroom and tons of natural light! The apt. was clean upon arrival, but a few extra supplies would go a long way like another bar of soap for the shower and the bedroom and living room would benefit from carpet cleaning. I loved the gas stove, but the kitchen needs a pot holder and a few dish towels since we only had a tiny roll of paper towels. Without a dish washer I ended up using a bathroom towel to dry our dishes. The biggest negative for guests could be the very loud music from the bar downstairs until 8pm on Sunday and 10pm during the week. The Blue Donkey food is delicious so that could be a benefit too!

The space was clean, cozy, comfortable, & in a perfect location. The checkin process was easy, and it had everything you could need (but bring your own sugar/spices). It is a really great spot, and close to everything.
I did have to ding 1 star because if you are looking for quiet in the evening hours, you'll have to wait until 11pm for the bass from the bar downstairs to stop. The music levels weren't bad, but the bass was literally shaking dishes in the cabinets. It was borderline comical, and provided a nice vibration foot massage if you put your feet on the floor!
If you are planning on being out until past 11pm, then this place is perfect. But if you are an early/light sleeper & don't want a techno dance party in the living room until 11pm, then you might be better off looking elsewhere.

Loved that it’s located close to all the central attractions. That’s about it. Loud music at night with very heavy bass which vibrated through the whole apartment. Parking is sparse if you go out on the town and arrive back at the appointment while the bar is hopping. I had expectations that the washer and dryer were in usable condition. Nope ! The washing machine door latch is broken. The room heater air filters need to be cleaned. They probably haven’t been cleaned since the unit was installed. So ya…it’s 2 stars.

The location of this cannot be beat, but we were reliant on being able to sleep four people comfortably and a working washing machine, both of which were difficult or not possible. The washing machine had pieces removed from the latch, so we couldn’t do laundry. We brought our five and eight year old along, and the futon was very tight for them. Don’t expect to fit two adults on it.
The place was stocked with dishes and was clean, which was great. You definitely have noise from the bar, but it only went until 10:30 or 11; however, it’s worth noting for anyone looking to stay here.

Don't book with this rental agency if you want help with any issues that arise. There was a rain leak that soaked our bags overnight and in the morning we woke to roofers looking through the window at us in bed. They had set up directly outside the bathroom window, which didn't have full covering, plus there were skylights, so we weren't even able to go in the bathroom in the morning. We had to pack up and leave with soaked clothes because there was zero privacy. It was very awkward. I emailed the company and was told someone would call me, but no one ever did. When I followed up with a phone call they said it was my fault they couldn't do anything about it because I didn't call when the roofers showed up. I booked this stay for my partner's birthday and all I can say is that it was a waste of money. The rental is above a loud restaurant, as well, and not a cute part of town. You can do better.

Location was excellent. Furnishings mismatched. Bed and sofa very uncomfortable. One closet door in bedroom would not open. Ran out of shampoo & conditioner provided (2-1oz), & toilet paper had to go to store & purchase. Restaurant below had a band Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights very loud passed the time we were instructed to be quiet 9 pm -8 am. There were printed materials with instructions to put trash out on trash day but did not say when tray day was. There was a misunderstanding on our check out day. Someone showed up to clean we understood we were leaving the next day. Then received a call from property manager, she gave us 2 hours to pack because they had another group coming in. So that meant we had to find another place for one night. Very difficult ending. Property manager had said she could put us in another location. How’re, she couldn’t make the transfer. She said she would text us the number to call and get it taken care of. Never heard back from her.

I had a good experience staying here. Cozy set up and comfortable bed. The kitchen utensils, pans and dishes were in good supply. My stay was only a couple of nights. Even though it’s above the Blue Donkey bar I didn’t have any problems with noise coming up from the bar.

Sweet little Apartment
Perfect for one or 2 people, great outdoor space for dogs and beautiful neighborhood walks. I was fortunate that the former restaurant downstairs, which is now a bar, was closed during my stay. However, two of the days I was there, they were getting ready for the first opening of the season and trying out their stereo system.
I found it unbearably loud, especially the sound and vibrating of the bass that came through the most and felt really bad for my dog. A dogs hearing is a lot more sensitive than that of humans. So we left, for the time being.
If you have some desk work to do while there, know that sitting on the kitchen chairs is not comfortable at all for longer periods of time.
The place was nice and cozy and beautifully decorated, living room smaller than expected, but not a big deal. Wifi could be better.
Some of the blinds were not in good shape.
The bedroom is not dark at night, due to a bright spotlight right underneath from the Bar downstairs and then from sunlight coming in very early in the morning.
I suggest bringing an eyemask, or maybe next time, there will be room darkening shades. The ones that are there, don’t do the trick.
All in all, I had a great stay though and the kitchen was well equipped!
