Great breakfast, great hotel

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Tonya at the reception desk Rune, the hotel janitor Frederick the waiter all of the helped us with issues we had with charging our rental car and the key card /electrical switch in the room.

Breakfast was excellent!

There seems like have some water leakage at the room's ceiling.

Warm and cozy atmosphere in the common area. Great location. Both common areas and the rooms appear fresh and newly refurbished. Great food, both lunch, dinner and breakfast with a focus on local ingredients. Historic area with a short walking distance to the fortress.

I really liked it. The hotel is housed in an old barracks near Fredriksten fortress. Great views from the room windows, super friendly staff and a good selection of food for breakfast. Would like to come back here again.

Good parking space. The view was nice, and the bed was very comfortable.

There was very poor pressure in the shower. Almost impossible to wash out shampoo when washing my hair. The staff was not very approachable and seemed pissed because we let them know about the problem, even though we just informed about it, not even complaining. The breakfast was ok, but they ran out of danish/pastries half way through the opening hours for breakfast, and that was very disappointing.

This is a great hotel- stunning design in the lounge/restaurant areas and also the bedrooms. I felt that the styling gave this hotel 'something extra'.It is modern in style well appointed and very comfortable. The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Halden has an amazing fortress right next to this hotel which is worth spending time to explore since there is so much history to appreciate! The breakfast is really good ( even by German breakfast standards) and beautifully presented... a winner!

There was no breakfast left, even the coffe pot was empty. We where there 1 hour before closing.

Everything from check in to check out, beds where horrible.

The only problem was a car charger that was hard to use (and an evening desk person who wasn't sure how to get it working), though she was very keen to be helpful

It is a nice hotel with a beautiful view over the city. Best location to exlpore the castle and if you have to make a stop on your way north on the E6. Very quiet rooms..

Only small things like, - no mat for the bathroom floor - sweet breakfast could be better

Location was great. The breakfast was wonderful. 10/10 would stay here again. The dinner we had the first night was also really good, even though the wait for the dinner was very long, it was worth the wait.
