This was trip was a graduation, anniversary, and family vacation all rolled into one. This condo was a great place to stay! It’s centrally located so most everything you’d want to do is within 30 minutes. We saw whales and turtles in the bay everyday and our youngest really enjoyed the kiddie beach. The condo was clean and well stocked, beds were comfy (even the Murphy bed), and the view from the lanai never disappointed. Having a parking spot underground was nice. It is right next to a pole but that wasn’t an issue for us (we had a 4 door Jeep Wrangler). There is quite a bit of beach gear available to use. My family put good use to the boogie boards and goggles. There are also beach chairs and coolers available. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Barbara for providing a wonderful place for my family vacation!

Older condo on the waterfront but not a swimmable beach. The pool and lawn however are good. The condo is very well stocked with all you need. A car is essential.

The location is beautiful and you can walk to the beach down the street or sit behind the pool and look for sea turtles in the afternoon. Truly a hidden gem. I also appreciated the attention of the host.

My family of 5 had an amazing time. The location is perfect. It seems to be about 20-30 minutes to all the key spots on the island. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and listening to waves crashing.

It was a perfectly decorated place. Very clean. It had everything you could need. With a fabulous view of the ocean you could sit and listen to the relaxing waves all night. It was perfect. We loved it.

This property in Ma’alaea is outstanding. This 2BR condo was outfitted perfectly for our family of 5 with air conditioning, washer/drier, all necessary kitchen amenities (including a dishwasher), beach chairs and towels and is in a great location. Located on a quiet street with a pool with a lovely stretch of grass behind it and a beach just a few minute walk at the end of the street; it provides a beautiful sunrise view facing Kihei and Wailea across the Ma’alaea Bay. We even saw whales breaching out in the bay in mid April form the back porch. In addition, Ma’alaea provides a central location to access all parts of the island, it’s about a 20 minute drive to Lahaina and to Kihei/Wailea. This was a terrific home base for a fantastic family vacation in Maui.

It was great working with Barbara. The apartment was clean and well maintained with all the amenities. The view was fantastic and the location was walking distance to restaurants. I look forward to our return!

We also liked the slower, quieter pace of Maalalea Village compared to the Lahaina and Kihei areas The condo was full of useful beach gear. The beds were very comfortable. The balcony had amazing views of Haleakala and we enjoyed getting up before the sun every day to watch the sky and land illuminate with brilliant colors as the sun rose. We saw a few whales off the balcony and some turtles along the rocks. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Incredibly well equipped, wonderful location, quiet, cleanest pool ever, host who provided all amenities and guides as to activities restaurants shopping etc. It is obvious Barbara cares that her guests enjoy the stay - and enjoy we did!!!

Beautiful condo with all the amenities. Loved the central and quiet location between Lahaina and Kihei. Best of all - so many whales to watch in Maalaea Bay directly off the balcony. No better place to enjoy a breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Thanks for such a wonderful place to stay

The condo was very clean upon arrival and was as described on VRBO. We had no issues. Really enjoyed this trip. Would actually love to buy a condo in this area. You can't beat this condo! Right on the water. Beautiful views of the bay at night time and throughout the day. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning and watching whales. Whales were diving, slapping, breaching, and blowing water right in plain sight! The binoculars on the TV stand were a nice touch to get even closer to the whale action. Air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room made the space plenty comfortable for sleeping. We weren't ever there during the day. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently remodeled it appears and the touches felt high end and luxurious compared to other units in the building that we observed. The guest bedroom closet is FILLED with beach gear. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs, toys. It was a very nice touch. Check in/out was a breeze. Barbara is a great host. The fresh banana bread in the fridge was a nice touch when we arrived. The only thing to really be aware of with the property is that parking is a little bit tight in the space for this unit. There is a concrete pillar on the left side of the space and in our mid-sized SUV it took a couple of adjustments each time to get into the space. It is wide enough for the car, but just a little difficult to get into because of the angle of that column. But really not a complaint, just something to be aware of. I wouldn't get a full-sized SUV. A sedan, mid/compact SUV, or probably a minivan would be just fine.

Nestled between Lahaina and Wailea - this is a great spot to see the whole island. The property is great-Beautiful view in the morning from the balcony included. We loved our stay there.

My husband and I stayed here with two adult daughters and my mother and we loved this property. It was the perfect landing spot at the end of each day. I love the central location of Maalaea because you can easily get from one side of the island to the other. We also loved the convenience of the harbor being within walking distance. It saved us so much time to simply walk over and catch the whale watch and sunset cruise right next door. (We also did a whale watch out of Kihei that we loved and was only a short drive away. Shout-out to Bluewater Rafting.) The condo has an excellent view of the ocean from the patio. We started each day sitting out there enjoying the sun and looking for whales. We saw dozens of whales every day. The master suite is spacious and has an awesome walk-in shower. The closets and cabinets are stocked with everything you need for the perfect vacation. It saved us time and money by not having to go rent beach chairs or an umbrella or a cooler. It also had snorkel sets and plenty of beach toys. (We gifted a "Surfer Dude" toy to the unit that we LOVED playing with. Just toss him into the ocean and watch him catch a wave. We hope future guests will love that little dude as much as we did!) There are plenty of towels and toiletries along with extra blankets and extra sheets. The kitchen is nice and perfectly organized with everything you might need. The refrigerator is large and we appreciated the indoor ice maker. (and the reusable ice packs for the cooler!) Parking is convenient and located right next to the foot wash station which really helped cut down on the amount of sand we brought in. The pool and ocean lawn area was also easily accessible. The lawn was beautiful and meticulously maintained. We saw turtles every day while walking the lawn. Barbara was so nice to work with. She was very accommodating of our rescheduling needs due to the pandemic. She provided helpful information and suggestions for our stay. She even texted us during our stay to let us know about the fireworks display on New Year's Eve. This place is great. I wish I could move in permanently.
