Tolle Lage, Blick auf das Schloss vom Balkon aus, nahe am Zentrum und trotzdem super ruhig. Ein super freundlicher Empfang und eine schöne Wohnung zum verweilen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This place is amazing!! Helmut (excuse me if I spelt, name wrong) was fantastic! He’s super helpful, provided coins for washer, and tips to do around the area. This place has it all. So peaceful, this had to be our favorite places we stayed! Don’t hesitate!!!

Nothing it was perfect!

Just next to Neuschwanstein castle. Quiet and nice location, clean and comfy apartment with friendly and helpful houseowner. Good place to stay with a family.

Right at the doorstep of Neuschwanstein Castle! Can see the castle right up there on the mountain from the apartment balcony. Host Helmuth was great. Friendly, helpful. He responsive and came by to assist us when we encounter difficulty with operating the washing machine and dryer. He even exchange coins with us for use in the washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook meals.

The washing machine required coins to operate, but it works in a strange way. You got to ensure the washing cycle finishes before the timer runs out. when the timer runs out, the electricity cut off to the washing machine, and the door cannot be opened. We had to put another 50 cent euro coin before the timer start again, and we can open the washing machine door to take out our clothes. Imagine paying 50 cent just to open the door? This is something which host Helmuth promise to feedback to the owner of the washing machine to fix this weird problem. It is cheating people’s money by locking the washing machine door.

Nice cozy apartment in the town of Hohenschwangau - two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, lounge, and large balcony. It was well equipped with everything we needed and had a laundry downstairs (note - you need a few 50 cent euro coins to operate the washer and dryer and the machine dials are labeled in German). The location is excellent - at the base of Neuschwanstein castle (you can see the castle through the trees from the street and balcony) and is walking distance to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, and to several hiking trails. It is on a quiet street a little bit away from the touristy hotel areas so it feels more secluded and peaceful (though it's only a short walk to the touristy areas if you want to hit the restaurants and shops there). We loved having the space to spread out and relax after some strenuous day hikes, and having the option to eat some meals at home using the kitchen because we had eaten out at restaurants a lot on our trip prior to reaching Hohenschwangau.

The check in process was poorly defined - there were no instructions from the man who owns the apartment on how to check in when we arrived. He later told me he was expecting us to call him, but he never gave us these instructions beforehand. We were only asked to give an expected arrival time through Booking.com (and could only choose a one hour window) and when we got there we waited for about 30 mins but no-one came, then we found a lady who lived in an apartment in the same building who spoke some English and she called the apartment owner for us and he came a few mins later. It would have been so much simpler if the instructions were clear that we had to call the owner when we arrived.

Location is perfect, apartment is nice and clean.

It could be eventually some oil and couple more spices in the kitchen.

The apartment was great, our host was very nice. You can see parts of Neuschwanstein from the balcony.
