Our family loved this house! Was in a great location - a bit far of a walk from the beach, but we knew this from the listing. The house had everything we needed, especially to keep the kids occupied. Nathanael was great at communication and gave us plenty of information for our trip. Highly recommend for a family trip!

The house was exactly as advertised. Walked in to a spacious and very clean house. Used the pool, putting green, and playground. Kids loved the video game too. Having the bikes and beach toys was so helpful. Walk to the beach was easy. Appreciated the quick responses on all communication with the property manager. Highly recommend the house.

This was a nice house with lots of space for a large family. We used the pool and hot tub a lot, and the kids also enjoyed the putting green. The walk to the beach was difficult for two of our older family members, but there a few parking lots with beach access within a 5-10 minute drive. Overall, we had a nice stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Our vacation was short but lovely. Our first full day it rained….down poured. But all of our kids, from the small to the tall, found something and someone to play indoors. Our next day was sunny, so we were outside most of the day. The house was well equipped with outside things as well. It was an amazing house for a great spring break trip.

We had a great time. There were so many additional items for the kids to use including beach and pool toys! Plenty of sleeping arrangements and a short walk to the beach! We will definitely come back to this place !

Our family had the best vacation at this house. We had plenty of space for all 15 of us ranging in age from 3 to 69.
Meals were so simple to prepare as this kitchen really was fully stocked. Every utensil we needed, dish, pan and glassware as well. Truly impressive! The pool and hot tub were used everyday. Kids especially enjoyed the pool. We brought a bottle bash game and everyone enjoyed watching/ playing in the yard on the side of the house. The youngest grandchildren had fun with the play area . There were so many pool toys, beach chairs and even a cabana we put up on the beach. We enjoyed sitting out on one of the decks to watch the meteor showers one night. This was truly a family fun house for our family and we hope to return one day.

Travelled with 3 families and everyone enjoyed the house. Pool was very large compared to other homes we stayed at and kids loved it. Kitchen was well stocked. Bikes made it easy to get to the beach. If you have small kids or a lot of stuff to take down just drive down drop everything off and ride a bike back. We did that when the little ones went and it worked out well.

This is was our second year staying at the Family Fun house. The house is a short distance to the beach. We have 5 young kids so we would have one person drop us off at the beach so the little ones wouldn’t get tired but for adults it’s only a 10 minute walk. The house has a great pool and the kids had so much fun! The owner is very quick to respond and sends reminders for trash day, etc. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back again!

Family friendly. Close to the beach (there is an entrance to the beach that is a walkable distance from the house and is just for the community the house is in) and other attractions. Close to dining, shopping, and two grocery stores. Plenty of space for a big family. Closets and cabinets full of books, DVDs, and board games. Plenty of cookware and utensils. Your kids will love the three hole minigolf putting green and the pirate ship themed playset that is on the property.

The location is good, the house was clean and is very spacious. Our grandchildren were very happy with all the fun activities and we were impressed with the thoughtful touches, local eatery menus, charging stations, high chair, hair dryer, foot lights (very helpful in a new place at night) and everything we needed in the kitchen.

This beach house is a great option for families with kids, especially younger ones. Our kids really enjoyed the toys, games, Ninja Turtles arcade game, and pirate ship playground. They also liked soaking in the hot tub, riding the bikes, and playing with the pool and beach toys. I liked that the house was furnished and decorated in a kid-friendly way so that I didn’t need to constantly worry about our two-year old accidentally breaking something. It was nice to have a high chair and pack n play there so I didn’t need to bring those with us. I also really appreciated that the pool and hot tub were completely fenced in, with a gate that is not easily opened by children (my tall 8-year old could open it, but not the younger kids).
Our group had four adults and four children (our family plus grandparents); we didn’t use the basement at all, but there would be room for another family with kids to sleep there. We could squeeze in more people than that as far as beds are concerned, but it might be a little crowded in the living areas. As it was, the house was set up well to allow us to spread out at times and be all together comfortably too.
The house is in a nice location - quiet neighborhood, quick access to grocery stores and some shopping, close to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and other attractions in that area, and a short walk or bike ride to the beach. There were enough bikes for most of our group to ride, plus a wagon for hauling chairs and kids which came in handy. One thing to be aware of is that you aren’t allowed to drive and park closer to the beach in the neighborhood itself - have to go to a public beach access spot for that. So you do have to walk/ride a bit, but the beach is probably less crowded since only folks in the neighborhood are going to that section.
We prepared most of our meals at the house - the kitchen was well stocked and the dining areas provided plenty of seating and space. Nathaniel (the owner) was responsive and helpful during our stay, and the check-in/check-out process was easy and simple. If you’re looking for a place that is luxurious, this may not be the best fit for you. But I would definitely recommend this place to others, especially to families with kids along.

We enjoyed our long weekend with 6 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant. The house was a perfect fit for us enough room for everyone to spread out and have space.

Yes we enjoyed our stay however a few things could be improved upon.
1. Pictures in the listing are a bit dated and are a little misleading
2,. Pool deck and left hot tub stairs need repair
3. Grills are rusty, vents don't move, and it's slanted. Try grilling hotdogs on the closed grill cover it's like you are on a rocking boat.
4. Large amounts of accumulated dust on fans, fake grass on top of the kitchen cabinets, and air vent return
5. Dishwasher takes forever to clean and sometimes doesn't even clean very well
6. No garbage diaposal
7. Furniture is lackluster and some chairs need fixing as they were falling apart
8. Shower doors have like years of mildew ugh gross.. Needs a deep clean

Had such a great experience. Nathaniel quickly responded to any questions asked. When a repair was needed he sent someone out with in hours to remedy our issue. My only real “negative” would be not having a propane grilling option. Charcoal takes more time and will lots of hungry people that was a minimal inconvenience. Definitely a must stay ! Very young family friendly home. Baby gates, outlet covers and a pack and play ! Would most definitely stay again. The beach is approx 3 blocks away. However bikes, wagon, chairs and a cooler is offered to make your trip that much easier !

Amazing house for families!
This house was perfect for our family! We had 5 kids under 5 and it was a perfect location with a wonderful pool! The host responded to our messages very quickly and was very helpful with reminders and information! We will be back next year for sure!

Great deal, location and set-up
We had a great time here. I think the property was a good place for several families to get together and reunite.
Our host was very responsive and on top of making sure we were comfortable.
The pool, the hot tub, the open kitchen / living room layout are awesome and great for socializing and catching up. Lots of TVs and recreational activities for the kids (pool table, TMNT mini arcade, pirate boat, pool toys, etc).
A few small gentle critiques but I would still consider this 4.5+ stars:
The beds were not made when we arrived. Beds in the kids room and other rooms were not properly set-up
Some of the furnishings are past the wear-and-tear phase. In particular, the kitchen area tables and the chairs were uncomfortable. Some cushions or updated furnishings are due here.
Same for some of the outside furnishings, like the deck chairs and tables. They need love and seem like they're on their last legs at this point.
All that said, still a very positive experience and we felt the listing was accurate and the price was more than fair. We really appreciated our stay.

Excellent location and well appointed
We recently stayed at the Family Fun house with a large group of mixed ages and the house was perfect for our needs. The multiple levels allowed people to spread out, enjoy different activities and let the early birds get up without waking those who like to sleep in. The house is a simple walk to a beach with a lifeguard and the beach was just perfect! Additionally within just a mile there are multiple conveniences from grocery stores, restaurants and activities which you could easily bike or walk to if you chose. The beds were extremely comfortable which can always be hit or miss on a rental! When we did experience an issue Nathaniel was responsive and the issue was fixed even during a tropical storm warning. We found the home was stocked with the necessary items to cook all meals if you so chose and had ample storage room even for a large group of people!

Family friendly property
The host answered our questions about amenities and the area promptly. Very helpful and easy to work with. The home was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. This is a very family friendly home. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach. The beach is a short walk but may be long for small children. We shuttled kids and supplies to the access in 2 vehicles and then the drivers ride bikes back. That worked really well. Also, there is a lifeguard station at this access. If you didn’t want to walk on the main road you can take a path that goes between houses for most of the way. The younger kids also had fun with the pirate ship playground. There are 2 grocery stores nearby. If there is an activity that you really want to do, you should make reservations. I would stay here again.

The house sign says it all THE FUN HOUSE!!
There was 13 of us and we had a blast! Three levels equals lots of stairs so be prepared. We had a few issues but they were taken care of quickly. If you are in a 4x4 vehicle I would highly recommend the $50 10 day 4x4 beach pass and load up and go there for the day. We had a blast and saw the horses without doing a tour!! The walk to the beach access from the house was about 10 minutes and we did Night time crab hunt and it was so much fun!! Also I would highly recommend going to watch the sunrise! Thank you Nathanael for always answering back quickly when we had questions or concerns.

Wonderful vacation!
The house was everything we hoped for - we had an amazing time. The owner was very responsive and proactive about keeping us informed about all the small details (trash pickup, where to find items, etc.). The house was well set-up for renters (labeled light switches, etc.). Everything was clean and ready for us at check in. We can't wait to come back.

We really enjoyed this property in Corolla. Close to beach and shopping. House was clean and had great amenities-including pool, mini golf and pirate ship for kids. Owner was very communicative! Highly recommend this house.

Great communication with a few minor hiccups
We had a wonderful week staying at this property! It served our needs as two families with 6 little kids between us. Our family truly had a wonderful time. Communication from the owner was very prompt.
Our kids really enjoyed the pool, mini golf area, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game. The walk to the beach was manageable but took a long time with little kids and gear. We discovered toward the end of the trip we could cut through the neighborhood and avoid most of the walk on the busy road. The main street to the beach is very busy with cars.
The owner was very responsive. I will note that the house is kept at 74 degrees, which was too warm for us. We had to request twice that the owner lower the temperature to 70. He initially lowered the temperature after we asked but then put it back up at 74 until we asked again.
The previous renters did not take out the trash, which made the outside front area hard to enjoy during the first part of the stay. It was horribly smelly, and there was a very bad fly problem. The flies that were swarming the side trash also were a problem in the front of the house. There was also some mold growing inside the house in the basement bathroom and on one of the shower curtains. The air filters also looked like they needed to be changed.
Overall, these were little things. We enjoyed our week very much.

Fun time
We had a wonderful time in the Fun House! Nathanael was very easy to work with. He was very quick to respond to our questions and fix any problems that may have arose. The house was very clean. The outside pirate ship, pool and putting green kept my kids busy when we were not at the beach... so much fun!!! We hope to come back and enjoy the house again sometime in the near future!

Fun House for family gatherings
The house was neat and clean with adequate supplies of dishes and utensils. Other amenities included pool, hot tub, bikes, jacuzzis, etc. The owner is very responsive to questions and reporting of any issues. Though it was advertised for 18 people, we felt that many would make it quite crowded in living/dining spaces. We recommend this beach house for your OBX vacation.

Excellent Stay At Beautiful Home
Nathanael and his wife were excellent hosts. Any questions we had they responded promptly. They were also extremely accommodating given the covid-19 pandemic caused issues for some members of the group to come on this trip. Their home is very nicely well kept and clean. You can expect nothing less than the pictures posted. If you want to have a great experience at OBX this is definitely the place to stay at.
