The view and weather were great but this condo was not. We've been coming to SH for 33 years. We know that it is not unusual to see a bug from time to time but this was insane. The kitchen in this condo was roach infested. I called the office within 30 min. of our arrival and they sent someone to spray immediately. The guy appeared to do a good job but it did not help at all. We smelled chemicals for the next 24 hours while at the same time watching lively roaches crawling all over the countertops, inside drawers, cabinets, even inside the dishwasher! It was horrible. The entire condo though not filthy, felt unclean. We set up our kitchen out on the dining room table where we actually did not see any roaches. We used soap and scalding hot water before using any dishes, cups, silverware, pots, etc. This condo needs some serious help. We saw/ killed at least 12-15 roaches per day. I used more antibacterial wipes during our stay than I used during the entire pandemic. We will NEVER stay in this unit again. Quite honestly, it may have been our final stay at Summerhouse in general which is heartbreaking.

There was food in the silverware drawer, all over the carpet and kitchen floors and to top it off a plate of food was left on top of the fridge, ants on the floor by the slider door, straight pins lodged in the carpet in the second floor bedroom.

This one is lumpy and too soft.We also were pleased with the outdoor furniture. Very nice. Could use a tray in the kitchen to transport items to deck. One of the outlets in living area need a change. We loved this location, as it was nice to sit on the patio and watch the ocean while the kids napped. We traveled down on Friday and checked in on Saturday. I do wish there would be an early check-in option as we have young kids. Having to kill time during the day can be challenging. Over the years the units have upgraded TVs and features, and our unit had a smart TV with Netflix on it which was fantastic for the kids to watch. I'd stay in this unit again.

The unit was awesome, however, my wife and I received a phone call while driving on the way from Gainesville to SA. Apparently, the owner of our original unit (not 357) was occupying and "failed to notify the SH office". My wife and I had to pull over and look up numerous other comparable options since the SH office staff only provided us with options which were not even as close to nice as to what we originally booked. Finally, after reviewing approx. a dozen options we agreed on 357 (which was very nice and definitely comparable to our original choice). Interestingly, we spoke with guests staying that same week in at least for other units which experienced the same issue. Some coincidence! Whatever the real reason this could have been avoided in advance with some real planning and communication from the SH staff. Regardless of the mis-management and poor planning of the SH staff, the unit 357 is great!

Makes it awkward for guests. The mattress in the Master bedroom could be replaced. Quite uncomfortable.
