Our experience at Villa was amazing and out of this world. Pier communicated with us prior to our arrival via WhatsApp and made sure we were welcomed. We were upgraded into a large suite and provided with Prosecco on ice and treats upon our arrival given it was our Honeymoon. Pier gave us a tour of the facilities and made sure we knew he and the staff were readily available via WhatsApp.
For transportation to the Villa, you can take train and a taxi yourself but they will offer private transport from Rome, Naples or other nearby places. Make sure to ask! In addition to this, they (Pier) can be of assistance with setting up dinner reservations, day trips to local beaches or islands, excursions, etc. We had a private water taxi transport free of charge provided for us to our dinner that Pier reserved for us. The service at this place was exceptional. The best we could have asked for. And everything we hope for in a hotel.
We had breakfast provided each morning (included in hotel stay). We simply filled out a menu and woke up to breakfast at whatever time we requested in either our room or on our balcony. It was amazing.
It is a 10-minute walk to Fjord de Furore. The Villa has a private pool overlooking the beautiful sea. There are also steps down the sea. You can relax on a couple of beach chairs and dive in. It's as secluded as it gets. We will be going back!

Pier was exceptional - he was friendly, polite and extremely helpful! He made our stay unforgettable with all his recommendations and extra organisation. He booked us a dinner reservation, a water taxi there and back and also booked us private transfer onto Positano upon our checkout.
The breakfast was lovely and they even set this up for us on our terrace. Terrace was very spacious and views second to none
The villa was extremely clean and the air conditioning worked well.
Only thing I could fault was no kettle in the kitchen to make tea or coffee but plenty of cold drinks in mini bar which was great for such variety

This property beat our expectations. 30 minutes down the road in Positano would be 5x the price and not as private. From the private boat rides to the off property restaurant to the room cleanliness, view and breakfast options provided, we were thrilled to have chosen Villa Le Baste to end our Italian getaway and hope to be back soon!

Being away from the crowds in a small boutique lodging was wonderful especially after a long day of crowds in Amalfi or Positano. Staying at Villa Le Baste is like having your own private villa because you almost never see other guests unless you want to. Pier is there for every need you could possibly have. His recommendations are excellent and he is kind and patient which made the stay extra lovely.
The location is a little challenging without a car or driver so it’s necessary to arrange transportation ahead of time and plan well. It’s possible to use the buses but I wouldn’t recommend it because the system is chaotic and if you don’t make the bus you need you will pay almost double for a taxi than if you had just arranged a drop off and pick up ahead of time. Also the road to walk to and from the bus stop is quite narrow so not for the faint of heart and can be dangerous at night. However I would definitely stay again because of the gorgeous views, complete peace and relaxation and amazing staff.

It is like going back in time when travel was still romantic. There is no place to better relax and the Four Season pales in comparison with the genuinely nice service you get from Pierre. He made us feel at home and attended to all our wishes including the most delicious Bellini served in an immaculate way. The breakfast was amazing including detox smoothies. And an unexpected benefit: the snorkeling is great. A stay we will never forget!
