Great location and well equipped. Lovely view from kitchen.
VERY tricky for disabled with so many steps in the house and steep roads/steps to the village.
Furnishings need replacing quite dated.
Parking bit of a nuisance and difficult.

Amazing views. Good facilities. Spacious and comfortable. Very convenient short walk to Salcombe.
Didn’t use allocated parking as too difficult. Blinds need fixing in lounge. Better thermal blind needed in the bedroom as lets in too much sun. Front garden could do with a tidy. Sykes website mentions a patio and garden. Only a gravelled area in front onto road.

Location was good, it was clean, warm enough, kitchen was well equipped.
it would be even better if the blinds were more black out or newer. Sofas and cushions did look grubby but that didn't affect our stay. There was quite a leak in the guttering which made the rain water fall heavily onto the window which was noisy.

The property was clean and tidy and had what you need for your stay. Beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped.
The outside front garden area was a little over grown and in need of some care. Two of the blinds 1 in the lounge and 1 in the bedroom fell down ( with out our help) so hat to put them back myself which really wasn’t my job since it’s been reported before and still hasn’t been sorted 😕. The car parking was well out the way and would have been far better if the directions was a lot better to find and when you did find it tight squeeze.

The views from the main bedroom and kitchen across Salcombe were truly amazing. Interesting layout of accommodation over several floors added to the charm of this period property. Very well equipped and nicely furnished, comfortable and clean light and airy. The Information Folder in the property is very comprehensive. Salcombe is a really wonderful location with wonderful artisan shops, a fantastic bakery, restaurants, pubs, galleries, large well stocked Co-op with parking, hotels and excellent fish & chips and ice-creams. The wonderful beaches are a small ferry journey across the water, from the safe harbour, eco port, passing a myriad of small boats at anchor
As car parking for No 2 is not next to property, you need to park outside No 2 to unload and load cases etc. Very difficult to park our longish car in space provided, so once in the space, we left the car there throughout our 4 day visit! A map showing the location of the allocated car-parking space in the narrow lane behind the property, should be included with the emailed booking confirmation documents - we initially mistakenly squeezed into next door's space! The road has double yellow lines along its length. Considering the location of the property, a long steep walk from shops, the welcome 'posh hamper' contents were disappointing after a long journey, We would have welcomed a loaf of bread, butter, milk, biscuits as well as the few coffee, tea, sugar sachets supplied, to tide us over until we visited the Co-op, bakery etc. It would be handy also to have a map of Salcombe with a plan of the best ways to walk down to the shops, harbour etc included in the Information Folder at the house. The basement entrance to No 1 is down a steep flight of steps, just outside No 2's front door. As there is no safety gate or chain for these steps, one has to be careful not to sidestep and inadvertently slip down them - this was especially so at night during our visit, because the overgrown bushes outside the front door obstructed the path and doorway - they were in need of pruning and the beds weeding

Very hard to work out where to find the parking. I had to knock on the door of a neighbouring house to find out. The lady said that this happens quite a lot. It was frustrating. Very long walk back from the parking with bags and cases unless you are able to park on the street.
9.0
Location, views and comfort of the accommodation.
It was surprising to find that the bathrooms contained only enough soap in the dispensers for two handwashes.

The house was nice and comfortable and the shower was really good. The location was good and the views from the kitchen/back bedroom were fantastic.
The house hadn't been cleaned when we arrived so we had to sleep with no sheets or duvet. Once it had been cleaned it was great, though. The house didn't have any outdoor space that looked over the estuary, which was a shame.
5.0
The property is furnished very basically and is tired and in need of love and investment. We had to prop up the legs of the flat-pack bedside tables because the drawers kept flinging open of their own accord in one of the bedrooms. The blinds in both bedrooms let in far too much light which made it impossible to sleep after sunrise and also meant our 3 year old could not sleep in the evenings. The pillows and duvets were of the cheapest, lumpy 'foam' variety and the mattresses desperately needed upgrading. The sofas need cleaning...and the list goes on and on. Every expense seems to have been spared throughout the property and this impacts the overall comfort and experience. It is essentially an empty shell furnished similarly to student accommodation from which to explore the local area.
The parking space is too far away (5 minutes walk) and took a long time to find. It is located on a track with multiple other cars parked all around it, all jammed in. We had to reverse in up a very steep track from 50m away and spend 10 minutes cramming it in.
The property location is a short walk from the centre but it is near the top of a very steep hill, so not ideal for a young family with a three year old carrying lots of beach gear doing multiple trips up and down each day.
There is no rear garden, only a small gravel space in front of the property.
I have seen other positive reviews, but in my honest opinion this property is only just about ok-ish, and certainly not somewhere we will be rebooking.

The house was located in a fabulous location just 5 minutes from the centre. The views from the house were stunning!
The bedding could do with being replaced and the mattresses were well used and are probably over 10 years old! But they were ok for the short time we
were there

Stunning views from property, Incredibly well equipped, especially the kitchen. Bright and spacious accommodation.
Really need a map of where parking is on confirmation email, as we wanted to park up before entering the property, as we had arrived early. Had to speak to neighbours and phone office, to find out it is actually down the hill and round a corner.

beautiful view from top floor

Overall the property was lovely and we particularly liked the views and the facilities. We didn't try the allocated parking as there was an easier spot opposite the property.
The property was very good overall and well equipped. if you want constructive criticism:
- 2 of the mattresses in the triple room were really springy and uncomfortable. ironically the day bed was a bit better.
- door hanging for the double bedroom and shower room could be changed to improve movement
- dog poo in the front gravel was unpleasant
- seagulls really noisy - it sounded like there is a nest above the double bedroom

Reasonably central location and nice views from kitchen and master bedroom
No Balcony or outside space and the parking was a little hazardous!

location great and house spacious with great outlook.
house was advertised as having a garden but the only garden it had was a small front garden by the road and was also home to the refuse bins feeling a bit mislead. private off road parking left a lot to be desired and could not always be used as access blocked.
