Twins Rock Cottage wurde 1941 gebaut und wir sind der dritte Besitzer. Wir haben das Haus im Jahr 2019 gekauft und es wurde kürzlich winterfest gemacht und modernisiert. Es verfügt über eine neue Küche, eine neue Waschmaschine und einen neuen Trockner, alle neuen Badezimmer, einen neuen Gaskamin, ein NEST-Heizsystem mit fünf Zonen, WLAN-Booster und drei Flachbildfernseher. Alle Bettwäsche sind neu, ebenso wie praktisch alle Teller, Gläser und Küchenzubehör. In den warmen Sommermonaten verfügt jedes Schlafzimmer über eine Klimaanlage. Trotzdem haben wir versucht, das Campy-Feeling eines New Hampshire Lake-Hauses beizubehalten.

We have been stalking this property for a couple of years now and were finally able to experience the beauty of Twin Rocks Cottage. Such a wonderful place for so many reasons. First and foremost, the location is amazing - situated on the northern end of Lake Sunapee on the eastern shore, allowing you to capture the warmth of the afternoon sun and experience fantastic sunsets. There are so many different vantage points to take in the panoramic views of the lake - whether you want to dine alfresco, read a book in a shady spot, or relax on the expansive dock area after a swim, this place has it all. The home itself is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully stocked and equipped. The attention to detail is evident throughout, particularly in the kitchen where everything has been carefully organized and labeled. We found everything we needed to prepare and serve meals during our stay. We especially enjoyed grilling on the back deck with the Weber gas grill. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout the entire process and she provided very helpful information about the house as well as recommendations for shopping, dining and entertainment/excursion. Thank you, Liz and Michael, for an amazing week!

What an amazing property. We chose it bc of the views - the windows look right out onto the lake - and they didn't disappoint! The house was well appointed, from a basket of beach towels near the door to plenty of dining, kitchen and entertaining needs. We will stay here again!!

We were very pleased with this Rental. We thought the views from the home were stunning especially from the Living Room. The Listing actually exceeded our expectations. Some of the photos did not do justice to the home. All the Bedrooms were roomy with vaulted ceilings & ceiling fans. The lot is double wide & provides a lot of privacy from the road and neighbors. All we could see out the windows were the gorgeous lake views & lots of trees and greenery. The home was very quiet and relaxing.
We had planned to bring out Boat to dock at the house. Due to not great weather we made the difficult decision to leave the boat at home this visit. It was the right decision. We were forced to relax which was quite easy in this beautiful home. We left the house only once during our stay to get some groceries. Other than that we stayed put. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we could have needed. Not the trip we had hoped for but it was much enjoyed because it was such a great setting.
There was ample space to spread out in this house. The Owners made many great decisions updating & decorating this house. Great attention to detail! It was comfortable, warm & inviting. We would love to book again & hopefully get our boat in the water the next time. The dock would have worked great had the weather cooperated.

Twin Rocks Cottage is absolutely perfect in every way. We had a wonderful multi-generational vacation with room for all. Every detail is thoroughly thought through. The location is secluded but still convenient, and the outside area, lake views, and dock space are magical! We rented a pontoon boat from Goodhue just down the road and the deep water dock was so nice to have. We look forward to returning to Twin Rocks!

This is an absolutely perfect lake house. Its charm has been retained while it has been renovated with modern conveniences and comfortable style. Liz has thought of literally EVERYthing guests might need, and the cottage is so well appointed. The location can't be beat...south/west facing means sun all day, and on a quieter corner of the lake makes it so peaceful. We had an amazing stay and are ready to book it again!

This cottage is a warm and welcoming home away from home. Cozy and well-appointed, we were delighted the home retained its historical New England cottage feel and provided plenty of space for the seven of us to spread out and relax. The kids (ages 8 & 10) had a ball spending warm days swimming in the lake. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked and the owners were incredibly communicative. We would love to spend more summers at this special place.

We rented this for a family weekend celebrating a college graduation. The house has several areas for folks to hang out and so you can spread out. There are two kitchen tables, a seperate den with TV, a huge living room with a window seat big enough for 8 people, sunroom with pool table and tons of outdoor space. Everything you could possible need is there. I've never seen a kitchen so well stocked! This is just a gorgeous home with incredible views on the lake. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is there are only 2 showers and the bathrooms are small. There isn't much area to "get ready" if you're sharing the space with others. There aren't vanityies but only sinks which isn't a deal breaker but just something to keep in mind if you spend a lot of time with hair/makeup. Most folks are more laid back with their appearance when on vacation but we had two big events to attend and I wanted to look my best. The family had a great time and we literally needed nothing during our stay. Liz is very detailed and it shows with how well she has this home stocked. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to rent her home again. We made wonderful memories and I'm so thankful we found this on VRBO.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Liz's with our adult children and their spouses. Liz's place was well set up with everything we needed, and her clear, helpful information ahead of time made for an easy, worry-free visit.
The lakeside setting was lovely: sparkling water, loons, a rowing club practicing in the distance... We swam, kayaked, explored the lake by boat - all great. And we just plain relaxed, reading and chatting indoors and out.
Liz provided suggestions about area restaurants, but we found ourselves so enjoying the house and the lake, we never did dine out. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and groceries are nearby, making it easy, so we grilled and enjoyed sunset dinners on the deck.
Liz and her family clearly found - and made - a special spot. We feel fortunate to have been able to share it with our family.

Beautiful waterfront property! Loons, ducks, geese, hawks, song birds, the sound of water lapping the ice age boulders. Perfect temperatures. Even saw a rainbow during the sunset of our last day. Comfy beds. Wonderful design work made the surroundings in the house warm and inviting. Hope to return soon.

This cottage was very clean, had all the amenities and booking and access were very easy. No detail was overlooked and the location was perfect. It has privacy from the neighbors, is right on the water and has an amazing view. Highly recommend this spot to spend time with family or just have a relaxing getaway.

This was one of the most impressive properties we ever stayed at. The setting is just beautiful. The inside of the house is equally stunning. Lots of windows to look upon a picture-perfect lake. The trees were in fall colors, which just added to the experience. A lovely gas fireplace added to the ambience. The kitchen was well stocked, which allowed us to create great meals and eat on the outside deck. This is a place we would definitely come back again.

Everything about our vacation fantastic. Flawless from check in to check out. Liz was very attentive to any questions but there were few because she thought of everything and left a detailed book of information. This house is a gem! The views are breathtaking, and the home has a traditional lake-house feel with all modern amenities needed. The house was extremely clean, well stocked and very organized which made for an easy stay. We loved swimming and boating off of the dock, and the included toys (kayak and SUPs) were a hit. There is nice separation between bedrooms, and the beds are very cozy! The main living space has so many great spots to relax and enjoy the views. Liz was a fantastic host and very responsible. We can't wait to book our next visit!

Liz is a wonderful host and this is a beautiful property that is clean, spacious, and relaxing! Beautiful views of the lake with awesome sunrises and sunsets. Even on a mostly cloudy, rainy weekend we were able to soak in the peaceful, quiet, vibe of this lovely lake house. Check in and checkout were effortless. Communication with Liz was a breeze. Georges Mills was everything, and more, than we ever expected. Perfection started with our communication with Elizabeth, the owner. From the first text we exchanged until our return home, she was always available if needed, and accommodated our every need, even though we didn't have many as she has thought of everything to make Georges Mill the perfect getaway. The house is spacious with lots of cozy seating and areas for relazing, including a great ping pong room and electric fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are very cozy, with comfy beds, great lighting and ample storage. Bathrooms are spotless, with extra supplies, and great hot showers. We went to NH to see the fall leaves, which were spectacular, so the weather was perfect and allowed us some time to chill in one of the many outdoor seating areas, including a great dock. Her info book contains all the details you need to make it an easy and seamless stay. The 6 of us, "girls" who have been friends for 40 years, loved every minute of our NH holiday and can't wait to return to Georges Mills on Lake Sunapee. Thank you Liz!! You made our trip a memory we'll treasure forever. 10 stars from the FAPS ("Friends at Play")

The home had everything you needed to make a perfect stay. The minute you woke up, you see the views of the lake. Such a great house to enjoy with family. The cleanest lake you will find. A real gem right on the lake
Fantastic property, right on the lake in an amazing location. Sunny side of the lake on a peaceful cove. Close to New London for groceries and dining out. Quaint, bur plenty of room for our family, and well equipped. Wish we could have stayed more than a week!

Beautiful home and location
The cottage was beautiful, pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen was very well equipped. We stayed over Thanksgiving and had everything we needed to make a big meal for 7 people. Bathrooms were also well stocked with towels and basic toiletries. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

Peaceful Lakeside Retreat
The moment you enter this special cottage you feel the sense of history of the area - when people came to relax in peace away from Boston and NYC......and yet you are surrounded with the latest technology in the great wifi and TVs. The kitchen is perfectly stocked for the avid cook and there is enough room for everyone in the family to have their own work or rest spaces. The best property we have rented on the lake!

This extraordinary house featured panoramic views of the superb Lake Sunapee. We enjoyed watching occasional crew teams practicing during the morning hours, adding to the tranquil environment of this wonderful home. We were also fortunate to watch the gorgeous, autumnal foliage. The interior was spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner thought of everything to make our experience unforgettable.

Relaxing retreat
The cottage decor and location are perfect. The cottage is on the north end of the lake which does not get a lot of boat traffic making it ideal for relaxing and kayaking. The house was well equipped with everything needed for making any type of meal you desired along with a gas grill and outdoor dining table. The Harney&Son tea selection was an extra surprise because it is the only kind we drink. The view of the lake from every room and the multiple areas to socialize indoors and out made our stay perfect.
We enjoyed ourself so much that we booked again for the same time next year.

“Twin Rocks” Rocks!
We loved our stay in this beautiful, bright and airy cottage over the lake. It is so close to the lake with wrap-around views that it feels like you’re floating on the water.
It is immaculate (I want to bring their cleaning crew home with me), and the attention to detail is fantastic. Liz was an excellent host, checking in all the way along our stay with lots of information about the cottage and surrounding area.

Great place for families!
This was a beautiful property. It still retains the charm of a camp on the lake with all the modern amenities. Bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable with quality linens. Baths are a bit tight but contain everything you need. Family room and living room were very nicely furnished. Kitchen was well stocked and appliances all high end and working! We enjoyed all the different areas to gather or share a meal. Location on the lake was right before the no-wake zone started., so everyone slowed down right in front! Water was clean and clear and deep enough for all ages to enjoy. Easy to get to shopping or other attractions. We saw and heard many loons each day!

Nostalgic visit to Georges Mills...
This property is absolutely lovely, with every amenity one could hope for. Our family had a vacation home on the same street many years ago, so revisiting the area was very special to us. The view of the lake is spectacular and we loved spending time on the dock and kayaking. The updates made to the cottage and the wonderful decor make it a super comfortable spot to enjoy. Communicating with the property manager was a breeze - highly recommend this spot for a relaxing getaway!

Magnificent. Well appointed but not stuffy. Comfy beds with quality linens and views to die for! We can’t wait to go back again. Besides being on the dock or in the lake on kayaks, we spent most of our time enjoying the view from a window seat like no other! Photos don’t do this gem justice. Ping Pong table was a definite plus. Kitchen was fully stocked and complete with all you could ever want or need. Can’t say enough! Wish it was mine—I suspect heaven is just like this
