The property and cottage were perfect, new and clean. Beach sand on the property was a great idea. Use of a golf cart and water toys were a huge bonus. Host couldn’t be more responsive and accommodating. Fish Fever was an unforgettable experience!

We went to relax and get in the boat and snorkel & fish. First of all Christy and Shane met us at the ferry dock and took us to the house as it went really smooth. Spanish Wells & Russell Island are laid back low key islands. If you want low key & no frills this is for you. We loved the Island as soon as we got there. The house has everything you need and is decorated for the islands perfectly. The beach is really nice and has anything you need. April is a great time to come as it is not too hot and before the no see-ums come out in force. Fishing Fever met our needs and work out for us really well. After trying all the restaurants, Wreckers was by far the best. Snapper, Wahoo & of course lobster. There chef is the best as far as cooking the fish right. We will be back to SW/RI in the future as it was truly a great vacation.

Our family generally takes adventure vacations mixed with traveling a little off the beaten path. Although there were plenty of friendly locals with whom to interact, we also experienced a private backyard paradise complete with paddle boards, kayaks, and great snorkeling. Please bring water shoes for the non-sand beach areas as the coral can be sharp. If you prefer sandy-bottom beaches, there is plenty of access to beaches where walking out in white sand in knee-high waters for 600 meters is standard. Besides offering transportation with use of the owner’s golf cart, there are many water charters available with a day or two scheduling advance. The house was clean and very comfortable, and Christy and Shane were very accommodating. Taxis to the Spanish Wells port from the N. Eleuthera airport are plentiful. Even though we usually don’t make repeat trips, we may have to break our “rule” for this one, but will definitely encourage our friends to try it out. In fact, there are three cottages on the property that would make a great 3 or 2 family vacation very comfortable.

Our trip to Spanish Wells was truly unforgettable. Christy and Shane's charming house has ample space and amenities. A stone's throw away from the beach and incredible views from the deck - perfect for carefree, morning swims! The accessible golf cart provided easy access around the island whenever we wanted to explore. Overall, a win in every category. Christy and Shane were extremely responsive and provided great information and recommendations. The excursion they coordinated with Dwayne/Seagillian Life was one of the best (if not the best) boating trips we have ever taken! Would not hesitate to recommend this little oasis and cannot wait to be back to Spanish Wells - it is an incredible place with some of the nicest people! When you come, be sure to have bug spray for the pesky mosquitos if sitting on the deck at night! :) Thank you again, Christy and Shane!

Our family of 4 just got back from Fish Fever for Spring Break and despite a few days of bad weather we had a blast. The location is great for relaxing and enjoying Spanish Wells. Christy was phenomenal as a host and made sure to answer our questions and help out any way she could. She is the reason we would book the place again. She setup taxi cabs from the airport to and from the ferry dock which made the transfer seamless and picked us up from the dock and gave us a tour of the island and pointed out the essential restaurants, stores, and beaches. The location is great and the availability of golf cart and kayaks, paddle boards are a bonus. Sandbar restaurant is right down the street and the rest of Spanish Wells is about a 10-15 ride away. Our kids loved hanging out in the back along the water, we saw turtles, starfish, blowfish, and sting rays. We’ll be planning our next trip soon.

The property at Fish Fever is absolutely beautiful & clean! We enjoyed our stay so much we will be back again. Christy was wonderful to book through and lined up our taxis to and from the airport. Highly recommend!

Immaculate, cozy cottage that was a great home base for our stay in Spanish Wells. Christy helped us with our luggage upon our arrival and was kind enough to allow us to use the golf cart after check out but before our ferry departure. Cottage is within a 10 min drive on the golf cart to pretty much everything, but it was nice to also paddleboard right from the back yard. Highly recommend the "hidden" beach just down the road.

This was the perfect cottage for our 35th Anniversary! This beautiful house had everything we needed, it was very clean, and steps away from the gorgeous water! Under the beach chairs and umbrella was a perfect place to have morning coffee or for relaxing in the shade. We loved quiet Russell Island and being only a 1/2 mile from the Sandbar Restaurant. Having a golf cart to take us everywhere we wanted to go was a plus!!! We loved Fish Fever and will definitely come back!!!! The host was VERY prompt in answering any questions we had and made sure our stay was incredible!!

My family and I just got back from Fishing Fever after spending an incredible week in heaven. The property and house are immaculate and furnished with everything you need. We loved having the golf cart to zip around town and felt safe while doing anything on the island. Christy was attentive to all the stupid questions I had and helped me with planning. If you go: -Do the Seagillian charter, otherwise you miss out on so much -If you are an experienced boater, rent a boat for a few days and explore -If you see their friend Teddy partying at one of the beaches over the weekend, go hang out with him Overall, amazing week, beautiful beaches, relaxing and we loved the people and culture on the island. We will be back!

Loved being on Russel Island. This specific location has thought of everything. I paddled everyday and saw all sizes starfish and so many fish and turtles. Perfect way to start a morning. Golf carts were well kept which we found out was very important! Thanks for a great trip.

Our vacation to Spanish Wells/Russell Island was planned primarily to relax and spend lots of time walking on the beach. We accomplished both. Fish Fever was the perfect place to stay; the cottage was so very comfortable with a private, out of the way location. The golf cart provided with the property was an effective and fun way to get around both islands. The owner, Christy, was the complete hostess, always available to answer questions and help with whatever activity we were planning. Also, can't say enough about the islands. The food was good, the people helpful and friendly, and the beaches and water breathtaking. We will return.

Everyone talks about how the hosts are SO accommodating. Ditto. Concierge service. Spanish Wells is remote. The exact opposite of Harbor Island. If you are adventurous… this is for you. We stayed at both SW and HI. Great balance. Don’t be deterred by the ferries… very easy. The cottage was new and immaculate. There are three cottages, and you still have privacy. We shared a dinner with other guests… fresh fish from our outing on Shane’s boat with Daryll. I am also a VRBO host and was so impressed. A unique vacation to remember.

Christy and Shane are the perfect hosts with the perfect property. Communication before and during our stay was flawless, and we wanted for nothing during our stay. Fish Fever had everything we needed and the location was quiet and beautiful. And a trip with Shane and Shawn on Seagillian Life Adventures was a definite highlight (sea turtles, stingrays, snorkeling, etc) We will be back in 2022!

The accommodation was clean and well kept. We spend most of our time on the porch reading and enjoying the beautiful nature. Spanish wells is amazing and Shane and Christy are the best hosts. This little cottage is super cute and perfect for a stay on this awesome tiny island. Loved everything about it and hope to go back one day.

Our small family had such a wonderful time staying at Fish Fever and exploring the relaxed simplicity of Spanish Wells. Christy and Shane were wonderful hosts and provided all the guidance and hospitality needed to make our stay a perfect getaway. They picked us up from the water taxi and gave us a quick tour of the small island. When we arrived at the house, we were delighted by the many comforts and lovely details of the house, including the beautiful colors, decorations, and our very own golf cart to drive around the easy-going and friendly island. The excursions we took on the Seagillian Life boat charters with Shane and Shannon were an unforgettable way to enjoy the spectacular waters of the Bahamas. Christy and Shane were so attentive and kind. We will always remember this trip and can't wait to return!

Christy and Shane are listed as Premier Hosts, but Exceptional/Phenomenal Hosts should also be an option! Our flight was delayed until way after dark out of Miami. Christy was patient with us and helped arrange the transportation from North Eleuthera to Spanish Wells, where she and Shane personally met us at the dock. After such a stressful day, it was so nice to be greeted with warm smiles from incredible people! They drove us around the island, doing their best to point out important landmarks and locations of interest, but were completely understanding that we were exhausted and probably wouldn’t remember much of it. Once we arrived at Fish Fever they asked again if there was anything we needed, then returned home so we could settle in and get some rest. The bed! What an amazing nights sleep! Such a comfortable bed! We discussed ways that we could sneak that mattress back with us. Fish Fever was beautiful, clean, and well decorated. Everything we needed was there. We especially liked having the available washer and dryer to do our laundry. We did not bring our kids (this time), but the loft area would be perfect for them. There will for sure be a next time! The landscaping around the property and the adjoining wooded area were wonderful. It was nice to see nuances of the Bahamian, specifically Spanish Wells, life in the lobster traps and signage. It’s a short walk from the back porch to the beachy area where we spent a lot of time lounging around, then another couple steps down into the ocean. Be sure to be on the look out for the curl tail lizards, crabs and all kinds of other native life around the area. We even named one of the curl tails “Curly” and looked for him or one of his friends each time we went out there! During our stay Christy was quick to respond to any messages and questions we had. We HIGHLY recommend doing the charter with Seagillian Life. Shane and Shannon were amazing as well. Their passion for their island was evident and were quick to answer any questions that we had about the history of the island. Long winded, but I can’t say enough about how wonderful our trip was! We will be back, and we will be staying with the Sweetings again!

This was my 5th trip to Spanish Wells/Russell Island and my first time staying at this property, so I know a bit about the island. Christy and Shane were exceptional hosts - easy to communicate with and always ready to offer whatever was needed for an exceptional trip. The home is exceptionally clean - looks brand new inside and out. The property is well kept - you have plenty of privacy and your own beach. While I enjoy other beach locations on the island, we spent most of our time at this one. In the evening, we would get a fire going in the pit. If you are looking at properties to stay at on the island, look no further. This is the place you'll get the most from your trip.

Fish Fever was amazing. Super clean & totally modern on the inside. Location was great! This is a great house if you are looking to just relax and unwind. It has everything you need and the bed is the BEST. Super comfy! The outdoor furniture was perfect & comfortable for sitting out enjoying coffee in the morning. The daybed down by the water was soooo relaxing!!! Christy was super helpful & responded to questions immediately. We can't wait to come back again and stay longer!

We loved our experience in Spanish Wells. The small town friendly vibe, quick access to food, fishing and beaches. Christy and Shane met us at the Ferry dock and shuttled us and all our luggage to the house. On the way they gave us a tour of the island and pointed out where to shop, eat, and drink. We arrived at the cutest house ever! There are three houses on the property and we stayed in Fish Fever. Perfect location and setting for the 3 of us. If you have a group i would recommend renting all 3! The houses are all brand new and well stocked! Paddle boards, sea kayaks, day bead on the beach, lounge chairs, fire pit etc. They have really put a lot of love and thought into this place. I would recommend bringing water sandals or shoes for getting in and out of the water. It’s a bit rocky but we managed in flip flops... There is also an incredible beach just a shot golf cart away. I would also recommend going fishing with Shane on the Seagillian charters!! My husband went out for a half day and came back with 9 lobsters, Strawberry Groupers, and a Trigger fish...amazing day, priceless! Would not hesitate in staying here!! So much fun! This was the most needed vacation either me or my partner have ever been on. Christy greeted us with a smile and a golf cart and showed us around town before delivering us to the most adorable, comfortable little house right on the water. The bed was comfy, the house was spotless, the view was impeccable and the view of the night sky from the grill out back was majestic. We spent our days relaxing on the nearby white-sanded beach and enjoyed evenings with a good cocktail at nearby bars and restaurants. Christy provided excellent recommendations, including an unforgettable day charter with her husband. We will be back and this time, we’ll bring the whole family!!

We enjoyed a most wonderful stay at Fish Fever. The owners, Shane and Christie could not have been more accommodating or helpful! They truly made the entire stay memorable. An absolute MUST DO would be to take a half or full day charter with Seagillian Life charters. Probably one of our favorite days this trip. We caught a ton of fish and Shane and his brother Shannen cleaned and bagged them right after we were done so we could cook and enjoy our catches for the next few days! Truly top notch. The house is brand new, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. The back patio is large and overlooks the clear Caribbean waters and a sandy lounge area. We took out the new 2 person kayak easily launched right off their steps into the water. Their entire property is so beautifully secluded but close to whatever you need. If this property is available, book it fast, You will not be disappointed!!We look forward to our return back to the island. Thank you Shane & Christy!
