The house was pretty perfect! Really enjoyed the house and especially the upper deck - great tho kind of obstructed ocean views, easy to drive OR walk to the beach!! Really enjoyed our stay, thanks so much to the hosts and property manager!

We would recommend this little hidden gem to anyone looking to get away with family and/or friends. If you like quiet, this is the place for you. The house was clean and offered everything you needed. And the beach was within walking distance as well. We were visited by the wild horses that roam the area almost every day of our stay. Just amazing. The sun rises were amazing as well as the clear skies and stars at night - we enjoyed both from the spacious deck surrounding the house. We will definitely be returning.

Love that we could see the beach from the deck and could hear the waves crashing. I would suggest changing the directions you give. Its so much easier to turn at mile marker 16. Easy beach access and private. Loved the horses! They came right up in the yard. Please follow the riles and enjoy them from a distance.

We had an amazing time on our trip! We had a full days worth of horse viewing, with horses right in the yard area. The beach is a short drive past the dunes, making it super easy to head over to the beach for the day! Beautiful views despite not being directly on the beach! House was super cute and fit all of our needs!

My family and I loved our stay in Corova. Driving on the beaches and seeing the wild horses were amazing. The house was perfect for my family. It was clean, kitchen was well stocked with tools, which is helpful since there’s no restaurants on Corova, plenty of room and great porches to view the scenery. I would definitely return.

We were looking for a quiet family vacation. This was exactly what we needed. Three mornings. The horses were right up on the property. Short walk to the beach. You are also able to drive up to the beach with your supplies for the day, such as a cooler with food and drinks and a shade canopy

Great location and experience.

Wonderful family vacation. We saw horses every day and even had them in our side yard. We were only a five minute walk to the beach. The only issue was that the listed place to store vehicles no longer existed and but we were able to find a place. All in all it was a great time on the beach.

The house is beautiful and there are horses around frequently. It’s quiet and peaceful. Driving the beach was out of my comfort zone but it ended up being no issue. There is no equipment at the air-down station in town to help you let air out, so we used the air-up station.

The house is in an amazing spot to watch the sunrise. A beach permit is provided to park on the beach. Even though the house is in walking distance it is nice to park on the beach and spend the day relaxing. We didn't not want to leave.

Incredible location and wonderful house. Management staff were very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay there again. Wild horses surrounded the house every evening. The safari tours were a little annoying as they passed through every 20 minutes or so, but otherwise it was an incredible experience.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family visit to Corolla. The location of the house is on point; 5 minute walk from the beach, and not too far of a drive from the paved road. The sand path was actually pretty easy to navigate; both Google Maps and the host sent us super clear directions. And of course, the best part -- WILD HORSES EVERYWHERE! We saw them all day, every day of our stay. On our way out, around 10am, we saw a huge group of 7 horses just taking a morning stroll along the beach right in front of the house. The house was a perfect beach house with a super fun layout. We also had access to a bunch of fun beach toys and equipment that we thoroughly enjoyed. The top balcony gave us one of the best views of the Milky Way and Perseids meteor shower RIGHT above our heads. Definitely a must-stay for anyone who is visiting the Outer Banks!

Location of this home is amazing, we will definitely be returning.

Everything you need at a reasonable price

It was a perfect location to enjoy the Outerbanks. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and everything was clean.

Overall, one of the best vacations we have been on as a family. The views were amazing and the drive on the beach was so much fun. The wild horses come right up to home. The home was clean upon arrival and the layout was very comfortable. We only had one issue with the front door lock which was resolved immediately. The home could use some TLC on the exterior (some deck boards were loose and charcoal grill/out area) but the inside is well maintained.

This is a great property. The location is perfect if you have a four wheel drive vehicle. However, the home was not clean upon our arrival. Very dissappointing after driving to get to the house and then having to clean the house, toilets, wash sheets & towels, and make beds. The owner did give us a credit back however that did not take away from the fact we had to spend a day and a half cleaning when we should have been on the beach. So we booked a vacation for 7 days but really were only able to enjoy 5. Hopefully the owners will do a deep cleaning every so often and then make sure the regular cleaning occurs before the next clients arrival.

I loved that this house is an easy five minute walk to the ocean. The house is very comfortable and very well maintained. It was wonderful to have two levels of decks to enjoy the views, particularly of sunrise and the wild horses who came around at dusk. It was the perfect place to unwind, listen to the wind and the ocean and the birds, and chill out!

Our first visit to the 4x4 beach did not disappoint. Close enough to the beach that we were able to walk. Horses walked by the house our very first night! Empty lots on either side and behind the house were a bonus. At night it was so peaceful and dark that you could see all the stars. Really feels like you are miles away from the city. House was very clean, had everything we needed and the property manager was great about checking to make sure we were happy. We would love to visit again.

Where else can you wake up to see wild horses cruising around your neighborhood, take an endless walk on the beach and have peace and quiet? Plus getting to drive on the beach! So fun! The house is all you need. Plenty of kitchen tools. Old charcoal grills but they worked. Beds are comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

As soon as we pulled in, we noticed five wild horses hanging out right in the back yard! Couldn’t have been more perfect for our daughters 11th birthday.

The home sits in an absolute beautiful spot and is very comfortable, and very clean. The beds are comfortable and the house is spacious and has the amenities of home. The wrap around two level decks with access to the ground level made coming and going so easy. We brought our dog and she loved it too! The management was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Even though the house is a couple of rows away from the beach, the view of the ocean is amazing and the walk to the beach over the sand dune was easy and beautiful. The wildlife encounters couldn't have been better. The horses showed up around the house and stayed in the area for such a long time and a pretty fox strolled by as well one morning. If we ever come back, we will stay here again! Seriously, what could better than a clean, comfortable house in the middle of the sand dunes, with the sight and sounds of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, easy access to walking to the beach, and all the horses and wildlife that live right around it?! I'd say it was, and is pretty perfect!

The home was immaculate with everything that we needed. Check in was so easy. The views and porch were amazing! A less than 2 minute walk to the beach! Outdoor shower let us rinse off before going back into the house! Plenty of room and huge table to eat and play cards around. The best vacation I’ve had in a while!

This property was amazing. It was such a pleasure to stay there. The home was supplies with all of our needs. The location was spectacular. The views absolutely breath taking. The simplicity of the entire rental process was wonderful.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. Driving on the beach was a new adventure for us. Note that the only way in and out of town is to drive on the beach so watch the daily tide schedule! We were able to drive up and park on the beach and fish. We also walked to the beach one day. It is a short walk and we saw the wild horses walk past us on the beach. The house had all the comforts of home and great views of the ocean. Not a far drive to restaurants and grocery stores. We wanted to stay longer and will definitely be back!
