The Bungalows are stunning. So beautifully built and spacious. The beds are luxurious and I could’nt wait to get in them and didn’t want to get out. The pool area is lovely as are all the hammocks

We first arrived at 05.30 am (Due to us having to get a night bus from Cuenca to Mancora). There was no access to the property as all staff were in bed and no way of contacting. We had originally told them we would arrive at 07.00am so can slightly understand but we are used to someone being on call at a Hotel/Hostel. The ringing of the Doorbell was sending the 6 or so Dogs which had now formed at the gate mad. And we didn’t want to wake up any other guests there may be. So we gave up and headed to the beach to see the morning in at 05.40. We came back for 06.30 and were eventually let in. I was relieved when the staff member took us directly to our room. They had previously told us there would be a $30.00 US Dollar charge for early check in at 7am. This seemed very unfair when it became apparent there were no other guests currently in all three Bungalows so not only was our one already cleaned and empty which we knew it must be, but so we’re two others. In any event I’m glad the staff saw there was no sense in us not being able to get into the room until 15.00 and we were not charged. The dogs which were barking at at the Gate at 05.40 did not change there behaviour once the staff let us in and continued Barking and growling at us. I could see this would be a problem. Once we were down the exterior stairs and towards the pool, the dogs leave you alone, it is only upon entering and exiting the property there bad behaviour starts. At roughly 13.00 we attempted to leave the Hotel and the dogs began barking and growling at my partner and I. 6 dogs doing this is quite threatening and the worst behaved dog (A spaniel, who seems to encourage the others) went for my partner, luckily only a slight superficial scratch. The manager later text us to apologise, and assured us they are all Female Rescue dogs who are just playing.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. All the puppies are sweethearts.
