good location to visit the Poas volcano and la Paz waterfalls en very close to airport at the same time. very quiet and the owner was really helpful and kind.

I liked everything about the place. It's well located and has whatever you need near to it. Great restaurants around Sunrise by A-1. Definitely, I'll recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica. From Sunrise by A-1 you can go to anywhere you want to go. Cheers,

Felt safe. Clean, some minor tiny ants in toilet area not a problem. Front staff nice. Towels and soaps provided. Helpful arranging a better taxi (that didn't charge too much). Maybe ask in advance to get your taxi to this location too! I was in late and out early so I didn't get to see what breakfast was like. Only 10 minute walk to the ATM, shopping etc.

Paid about $10 more US dollars over what the booking said. Only took cash on arrival. Too hot in the room no fan or screens on the window. While there I messaged the property to see if the mosquito's were bad so I could open a window, no response for over a month.

Amazing staff (Nathaniel), great breakfast, very clean room, hot water in the bathroom.

No air conditioning in the room, but there is a fan and it actually has nice weather at night.

I really recommend this hotel. It has an excelente location, good breakfast. You will have a good stay.

This room was very small and had a pretty small bed.

Great hospitality by Nathaniel. Whenever we had a question he was there for us. And he made delicious breakfast. Room was equipped with basic furniture and very clean, quite spacious and silent at night. Beds soft and a lot of pillows to choose from. We had 2 beds available in the room. That was great to recover from the long flight.

Bathroom door was blocking the way to the lavatory and toilet. Mattresses were soft but saggy.

Lovely family run hotel

Everything was as you wish it. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a quiet place for good sleep The owner is a very nice and communicative person. The breakfast was excellent.

A lovely B&B in Alajuela near the airport. Walking distance to some restaurants, or a short drive to more. Great house with clean rooms and soft bed. Breakfast is basic but just fine. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable bed and clean room

Feeling like I was in someone's house that was trying to be a hotel. It would be better pitched as a friendly, warm b&b as we didn't feel comfortable to use the space outside the room. Had to switch cars everytime we wanted to leave

We really like this cozy, clean and peaceful hotel. It felt like we were at home. Comfortable bed, good place to store clothes. Large balcony with flowers. Green garden is the best place for yoga). The owner is very kind and helpful. You can also fill your bottle with drinking water from the cooler. Eco friendly place)

Everything was great

Nice, little B&B in a quiet corner of Alajuela, just a few minutes walk from the city's center. The Host was super nice and helpful. Optimal spot for either your first or last day in Costa Rica due to its close proximity to the airport. And if you have same spare time in the morning, the Volcan Poás is also quite close :).

- the owner is very nice and gave some great recommendations and tips - the B&B offers a rental car service - decent selection for breakfast given the price - great value for the money - safe neighborhood; walking distance to a supermarket and ATM

- it was not impecably clean (though not bad by any means) and there were some small insects, but this is normal for CR

The staff was very helpful and flexible! The hotel is located close to the airport (10-15 mins by car). In the morning the neighbour's parrot entertained us with its noise:)

The bin in our room was not emptied before our arrival and one of the towels was not utterly clean.

Basic but nice little hotel near the airport, perfect to stay for a night after a long flight before heading off to the touristy parts. Breakfast was fine, great coffee and a basic "American style" breakfast with bread, spreads and fruits. Private parking.

Good and quiet accommodation close to the airport. The owner was very nice and assisted with luggage. He gave us a map of the area and explained very well where to find everything. Good, basic breakfast included (bread variety, cake, cereal, juice, coffee, fruits).

The owner is the only one with access to open/close the doors to go in and out. It would've been nice to have a key to come/go. He was always there though.

The property offered everything it needed and the service was exceptional. Extremely kind and helpful staff.

Sunrise A-1 exceeded my expectations! We were able to check in late as our flight was late with no issues. Natanael, the host was very welcoming, offered us a yummy breakfast and homemade coffee and spent some time talking to us and giving us advice. We felt right at home. We had another stay booked in Alajuela for our last night but quickly changed it to come and stay with Natanael again. We will be returning here in the future as well :)
