It was a unique experience Walk to everything in town…shops, harbour, pub, tea rooms

Seagulls, seagulls, seagulls ….. very disappointing the cleanlinesses of the outdoor areas. Steepness of the environment both inside the cottage and getting to the car was not for us….physically challenging From time to time there was an odour ( stink) not sure where from but very much like the sewerage….not the outgoing tide we understood that odour

lovely little cottage in the heart of the village. The little touches such as the cookies / tea/coffee make a visitor feel very welcome. The standard of finish in the cottage was excellent as were the linens !!

parking is an issue in the village - knowing that helps to plan your stay but it means I would not visit at more busy periods

Parking Bay provided . nice touches with cookies and tea and coffee welcome . beautiful period cottage . fabulous open fire and a comfortable bed. exceptional double electric power shower. all high end shampoo and soaps

Staithes was a lovely village about 10 miles from Whitby. It has a small harbour area and the village is laid out on a steep hill. There are two pubs in the village, both worth visiting, and another pub at the top of the hill - also worth a visit. The house itself was set on three floors and very nicely decorated. The owner had left welcoming supplies to aid you in case you had arrived without any supplies. As this was a dog friendly place she had also left supplies for the dogs, which as an extra touch I thought really nice. If you book this cottage I suggest that you read the information carefully and take notes of what the owner tells you about parking and entry into the cottage.

This will not bother most people but our dogs prefer grass for their needs and it was very difficult, without climbing the hill each time, to find grass for them to use.

Lovely cottage with interesting layout, we did not use the top floor tv room, nice and comfy in the kitchen to sit and relax, bed was very comfy and shower nice and hot, everything was clean and exactly what we wanted after tiring walks on Cleveland way

The steep climb out of the village, but if you don't want that don't come here, nothing was a down

Fabulous location right in the heart of the village. Beautiful cottage, furnished to compliment the age and style of the property. Would stay here again if we return to Staithes.

What a great cottage, the hosts have thought of everything. The decor is lovely and the cottage is very well equipped. We felt very safe as the whole house was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the snug at the top. We would definitely recommend.

Everything was great there was even a water bowl and treats for the dog.
