Very clean and service was very good. Easy to get to and very convenient to town.

Owner of property is lovely and extremely accommodating. Room was clean and newly decorated. Bathroom was excellent.

The Inn is an older home without elevator. Make sure you can climb steps before booking.

Staff was kind and friendly to talk with over breakfast, and were accommodating to late check-ins. Room was comfy and clean, with a great shower, plenty of toiletries and fast wifi. While I didn't use the TV, it was there to use.

Nice bed and breakfasts like this are normally out of my price range for short stays where I'm not in the room that long, but the location more than made up for it and a staff as kind as this is always a huge bonus.

Excellent location within walking distance of Main Street and the center of Ridgefield. Friendly, attentive staff. Delicious breakfast, with choice of eggs/sausage/toast, oatmeal, or yogurt each morning, along with tasty side dishes such as scones. Unlimited coffee/tea available in the lobby all day and night.

I like the location being so close to town. As a Ridgefield native coming home to visit family it was nice to be so close to everything with a nice place to lay my head down. The beds were so comfy!

I don't have really have much to complain about here. I guess for the price you pay maybe complimentary fresh baked cookies or some sort of treat upon arrival.

My sister lives in Ridgefield and recommended WLI as a pre holiday decompression site prior to Christmas. Christine greeted us warmly to her beautiful Inn. She and Danile were wonderful. The Inn is beautifully decorated year round but especially lovely at the Holidays. Highly recommend!

Updated larger bathroom would be nice, which I am aware the owners are in the process of achieving as they refurbish the Inn.

The place was clean, quiet and pleasant. The breakfast was nice; served at our table with limited choice, but fresh cooked, not prepackaged. The room was clean. The bathroom was very new and nice. The staff was quite pleasant and helpful.

They had recently redecorated and refurbished some of the place which made it pleasant to be in. But I don't know about their color, style and decorating choices. Original looking woodwork painted a high gloss looking greenish blue? New wood floors that looked more like a 1970s redo of a tavern floor than like what the original floors likely were. Various 1950s and 60s style decorative touches and just some cheap stuff. I just don't know what they were trying for style wise. Not modern. Not a restoration of period stuff entirely. Maybe still a work in progress. I hope so. All of that said, still a very pleasant place.

If you are anywhere in Fairfield County and want to be spoiled at one of the greatest inns in America, you must stay here. The accommodations are first rate but not fussy, there are so many special touches such as homemade cookies and snacks and 24/7 coffee, an included out of this world humungous breakfast cooked to order, a heating bar in the bathroom for one's towel, and maybe the best part - being next door to one of the best restaurants I've ever been to - Bernard's, and then a delightful walk into the absolutely adorable town of Ridgefield that has it all, even a wonderful hardware store. Daughter and I had a most wonderful stay. There is something else I need to mention. We were supposed to go earlier in the season but I developed vertigo the day I was to arrive. I could not get out of bed, much less drive a car. One of the owners got on the phone and told me that her husband had vertigo issues and she fully empathized. Said to not worry about paying even though this was a last minute cancellation and she certainly could have demanded it. Anytime we need a place to stay in this gorgeous neck of the woods again, we are returning to The West Lane Inn.
