The property itself and the ocean view was spectacular, however the location on the main road was very noisy due to the constant heavy traffic, which made it difficult to sleep at nights. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond what was expected of them to ensure our stay was pleasurable. They get a 5+ star rating for their phenomenal and professional service. Monique was on top of keeping the house very clean and ensured that we had everything we needed. Negell was outstanding, especially on the Kayak rides. He was up at the crack of dawn and was always available to fulfill our every requests. Chef Tony, who we affectionately called the singing chef, prepared authentic Jamaican cuisine every day. The staff beautifully decorated the Villa, and served up a sit-down, three course meal prepared by Chef Tony for a birthday celebration. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Property is well managed. The members went above and beyond. Enjoyed kayaking, food was great, location ideal. Activities outside some what expensive especially for larger group. Possibly booking on your own would be cheaper.

There was a Bluetooth speaker there for us to use whenever we wanted & we did just that! The staff at Portside Villa was so gracious & attentive they made us feel like family. Chef Tony created a special birthday dinner for me & fed us like Queens all week long. Everything we ate was top notch! Michelle made sure we had our coffee & fresh orange juice in the morning & clean rooms when we returned from our outings for the day. Her smile was a great way to start the day. And what can I say about Negell!! I wanted to bring him home with me lol. He made us feel safe & welcomed. He was super attentive & helpful, he even went out in the rain for us the morning of our departure. He made our stay the best ever! I can't forget our drivers Wayne & Cleveland, super great people too! Overall I can say I really enjoyed my birthday at Portside Villa. We've even talked about coming back next year!

The villa was pictured as listed! The staff was kind and sweet! They ensured everyone was taken care of and happy at all times. Going above and beyond! The chef Junior was talented and the butler Al superb and beyond approach! Both drivers were great as well, but Wayne was top flight!! Overall we would recommend the villa and staff.

After delaying my sisters wedding twice due to COVID we were long overdue on a celebration together. This was a treat for all of us abd did not disappoint. 6 girls flew in from all over the nation to celebrate my sister getting married. The view was spectacular and the private beach was just a few houses down the street. We ate every meal at the house and chef Tony went above and beyond accommodating our "diverse" diet requests. He made us a lot Indian inspired food and the flavors were amazing....every meal was fit for a king! And he even sang for us with his soulful voice, it brought us all to tears. Michelle helped us set up Bachelorette games like she was a part of the family and our Butler Negel made sure we were safe any where we needed to go and took care of us. We did some jet skiing, the luminous lagoon, and massages at the house. The rest of the time we enjoyed the pool, played games, and ate the delicious food Tony made. The staff really is service oriented and the butler lives on site in the back house; it was a little unusual to have 24 hour in house service but it really was a genuine interaction with each of them. And we were so grateful to have an escort when we left the property to get cash or more alcohol....its a bit more sketchy than our group had anticipated and I was glad to be required to be escorted places for our safety. We were in good hands though! We had an amazing time and it was for sure a Bachelorette trip fir the books! If I had one insight to provide is that being on "Island time" can be a little frustrating if you try to plan everything last minute. I tried to preplan out trip with Deana but she forgot to mention the holiday closures and curfews put into place place during our stay which hindered us doing what we had originally planned. I guess you just gotta be flexible and embrace the 'Ya Mon' philosophy...also, they only accepted cash for excursions, transport, and tips (groceries abd booking with card was okay). Carrying that much cash on me made me uncomfortable and going to the atm in Survivor Bay was not something I'd want to do again.

If the kids wanted to go to the private beach but the adults wanted to stay at the house, he would accompany the kids to the beach. Michelle, the housekeeper, helped with laundry and general upkeep. Our drivers were also so kind, and when we wanted local recommendations for restaurants or live music, they were ready to accommodate. Our concierge was super responsive, helping us to book group outings at Chukka, Blue Hole, Mystic Mountain and tubing. The property is about 35-40 min from Ocho Rios, but only 10 min from Trelawny where you can do river rafting and tubing. Overall, a very very positive experience, mon! We do intend to return and we miss everyone so much!

That was just the arrangements prior to our arrival. Upon arrival to the villa, every member of the staff was waiting for us with a smile and genuine welcome to what would be our home for the next six days. Ms. Michelle, our housekeeper is an absolute joy. And you must have her make you a cup of coffee! She was so sweet and absolutely perfect in her suggestions. The baby of our group actually had her birthday during our trip. Ms. Michelle asked us to leave our party decor with her as we went out and enjoyed our day's events. When we arrived back to the villa, she had completely taken care of the most beautiful decorations. Chef Tony's daily meals were beyond delicious. He was attentive to the group's unfamiliarity with some island dishes. He patiently explained each meal's pairings and even added some of our favorites. Everything was always served hot, promptly and so delicious. Cleveland our driver was a delight. Our rides were filled with music and showing us places to add to our daily activities. He always had a smile and made sure we were safe at all stops. Negell was the cherry on top for us all. He was not only our butler, but ensured we were safe and well kept at all times. Never did we have to ask for a thing. He went above and beyond in every facet of our stay. He was polite and patient, as we had questions galore. The staff was so trustworthy and protective in the villa and on our adventures throughout Jamaica. They treated us as family coming to visit. We truly were a little sad to leave them. We will definitely be back because Portside Villa definitely felt like Home.

The chef asked us what we wanted and accommodated our group’s allergies and all of our greatest desires. He went out of his way to make sure we all enjoyed the food. The food also tasted incredible!! We love seafood so his different types of fish and coconut shrimp were a hit with the group. Our butler was the most attentive, sweet and generous human. He provided five star service all the time (even when we had lofty requests like three rounds of pina coladas late at night). He was always nice and gracious and we will all particularly miss him. The housekeeper, was very sweet and did a great job dealing with the mess 10 women leave (sorry!). The driver at the house not only made sure we got places but stayed there with us and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and was also very sweet. Finally, the house travel concierge helped us a lot with activity and reservation planning, as well as arranging for covid tests at the house. We could not have done this trip in such a smooth way manner without her. Overall the place was totally incredible and beautiful, the staff super helpful and nice and we felt like royalty. Our now extended family included Negelle our butler, Michelle who kept everything tidy and Chef Toni who cooked the most amazing meals! We would sit outside on the deck overlooking the ocean and just talk, laugh and eat! Each meal was a culinary work of art that left us always wanting more! Helpful tip: When ordering groceries, only get what you need for meals and maybe a few snacks. We purchased more food than we actually needed for the time we stayed resulting in a hefty grocery bill. When not relaxing we were almost always in the pool and it was sooo much fun! Michelle was soft-spoken, so kind and made the best cup of coffee each morning! My Sister-in-Law & myself wanted to get away with our girls, and just bond as our previous trip was cancelled due to Covid-19, and this Villa did not disappoint!!! The Villa was exactly as described & more. It felt like HOME!! The Sunset views in the evening while enjoying dinner where exactly what we needed! We sent our meal requirements prior (specifically looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine) to arriving & Chef Tony delivered every single time on every meal! Everything was delicious, and we would be peaking in the kitchen for the next meal daily. He would also take the time to show us how to make dishes, so we could replicate it at home. The rooms where huge and spacious, to the point we didn't even need one of the rooms we thought would be occupied. Ms. Deana was very responsive, and addressed any questions/concerns we had, and assisted us with arranging all of our excursions. She would also come and personally check on us, which was nice to have that direct contact. It felt very welcoming. BJ (The Butler) was also amazing!! With a group of 6 ladies, we always needed something, and he was there when we woke up, until we went to sleep, with a smile & positive attitude helping us with whatever we requested. He played a big part on making this vacation so enjoyable. Lastly, Ms. Garine (sp?) had the sweetest soul. She made all of us feel so taken care of in a motherly way, she would have things done before we could even fix our mouths to ask... On top of how wonderful the property was, they truly helped make our experience AMAZING! It felt like we were leaving family when checking out. Lastly the private beach was perfect, we were enjoying the Villa so much, we almost forgot to go enjoy it. It was clean, had a kayak, paddle boards, daybeds and was only accessible to us.
