Gorgeous little place. Close to everything you need and a stones throw from the beaches which are bursting with fossils. Tidy, clean apartment, comfy big bed, easy key pickup and dropoff. I cannot fault anything👍

The apartment was very central and within walking distance of marine parade, the beach and the Lyme Regis museum.

Apart from an issue with the TV which was later resolved, we enjoyed our 3 day stay.

Very nice apartment right in the center of town, close to everything. Even included a washing machine, a pleasant surprise for our longer stay.

The only thing I didn't like was that the mattress was not firm at all -- my partner ended up sleeping on the couch.

Comfortable apartment in a very good location. Definitely not 'luxury' but enough for a family with kids. For little kids who don't sleep in their cots anymore but come to your bed at night, the double bed is quite small for this, and a sofa in the living room is not very comfortable for adults (stiff).

Communication with the owner was an absolute nightmare. I made an error in my booking (for 3 nights) and immediately contacted the owner to either cancel the booking or rebook the whole stay. With owner unwilling to cancel free of charge, we provisionally agreed a new date. An hour later or so, upon writing to confirm the new date (had to agree leave from work for this, and also limited by kids' schools etc), I got a message from the owner the date got booked by someone else. No attempt to block the date/ be helpful/ make things smooth. I called booking.com and explained I was already fed up with the situation and can we please cancel free of charge? The consultant supported my request and stated it should really just be a formality, he will speak to the owner. No agreement from the owner again. Through booking.com I was then trying to agree a new date (I know, sounds like pulling teeth!). The owner only had 1 date in mind and didn't agree to any different date. This was despite the fact the apartment was available on booking.com on some of the dates I was interested in (but he claimed it's not available). This experience was unlike any other communication I've ever had with anyone from Dorset, normally friendly, helpful people. The stay felt forced and I wasn't looking forward to it. I'd like to think the owner will acknowledge he could have been more helpful/kind (not holding my breath though).

Immaculate and comfy,very well equipped above hardware store. Very close to sea, promenade, restaurants and shops.

Note: access via external stairs and public car park ( £30.00 for 3 days) is 400yds away up fairly steep hill.

We obtained the key from Rainbow, the shop below. The manager was a real gent: friendly and helpful. He told us if we had any problems or queries we could come to him (we didn't have to) and as I am disabled I really appreciated his help with our luggage up the stairs to the apartment. He made the process easy and we were so grateful for his help.

This place has it all👍 It's surrounded by restaurants, museums and shops. Nice and clean apartment, good facilities, comfy bed...you can see the sea🌊 I didn't want to leave...I could easily live there🔥

I give Driftwood full marks🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Location: out of the bay window you can see lyme fossil shop, blue lias gallery, guild hall, lyme museum, lyme bay restaurant, coaster bus stop, the sea and the cobb. As you leave the apartment down the stairs, there are a couple of restaurants, 2 mins on and there are pubs, shops, art galleries, a brewery...and so on...you are right in the middle of Lyme life. The appartment was clean, nice living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It was superb👍 When you wake up and open the curtains, you get the sights and the sounds of locals and holiday goers making the best of the day and it makes you want to join in the fun. Everything was a breeze👌

It was very bright, airy and spacious with everything you needed and the location was perfect. The apartments have been recently renovated to a very high standard and well thought out. The bed was comfortable and the large shower was amazing after a day at the beach. Please note that the water is very hot when running the taps!

Nothing to dislike. However, if you have mobility issues bear in mind that there are a lot of stairs to climb. It wasn’t a problem for us, but maybe for others. There was a small area outside the main door for recycling, but nowhere to get rid of general rubbish so had to leave it for the cleaners unfortunately.

Such a great, central location, beautiful and cosy apartment with a really comfy bed. People have commented that the road is noisy but it really wasn’t that bad and our 7 year old had us up before the buses started rolling by so wasn’t an issue for us. Would def stay again!

Fab location. Right near the sea front, near the shops, pubs, town mill, restaurants etc. Museum is almost opposite the apartment. Apartment is bright and modern, well equipped with everything you need!

I loved the apartment and would recommend and definitely go back. The only cons I guess is that it can be a little noisy at night because of people coming home from a evening out so maybe not entirely ideal for a family with very young children. Unless they sleep through noise? We have an 8 year old and she wasn't at all bothered by it, nor were we. You come to expect these things in such a central location.

It was so central to what we needed. We parked up on arrival and didn’t need to touch the car for the whole weekend.

It was just across the road from the sea front and shops and nice and clean

It was having major building work done to it which we were not warned about so it was very noisy! Drilling early morning then all day, also just outside a traffic light where you could here all the busses and delivery trucks late at night and early in the morning. Also you might want to look around for parking as the long stay car park coat us about £100 for 5 nights

The apartment was spotless when we arrived, and we were shown in by a very friendly, helpful lady. Everything we needed was there, and it was such a lovely comfortable place to go back to at the end of the day. It's central location meant we could pop back if we needed to during the day, so very convenient.

Perfect location for us. Great sized flat for us. Will definitely book again. My children loved their annual visit, made all the better with the discovery of wifi which I wasn’t expecting 👍

Shower cubicle is very small with quite poor water pressure and temperature control. Shower doors didn’t fully close. Minimal utensils/supplies in the kitchen making it difficult if you wish to cook at the flat. Kitchen finish seemed a bit rushed

Everything about this apartment was perfect! Would be good to include that the apartment has towels, iron etc to avoid extra packing :)

The location is ideal. Very close to the beach and town centre.

The property upstairs was being renovated and the builders started at 8:00 and finished at 17:00. At one point they asked to turn off the electricity. The property is on a main st and the sound proofing is poor, so all traffic can be heard in the front room and bedroom. The street lighting invades the bedroom as their is no blackout facility. The furniture is not at a luxury standard.
