The house was clean and all prepared for our stay and has plenty of space! The kitchen was well equipped and both kitchen and bathrooms had all the needed essentials to get started. Unfortunately the pool heating wasn’t working and the pool quite cold. But it was resolved quickly. The interior of the house feels a bit dated and worn out - especially the bed in the master bedroom.

The inside of the house was clean and fit our family nicely. There are some maintenance issues & some outdoor items that need attending. I am emailing those to the property manager and I am sure they will take care of them. Driving on the beach if you have 4x4 was a great plus and should be noted in the description. Great location between river and ocean!

Interior was clean and perfect for our group of 6. Exterior could use some attention. Pool umbrellas were moldy. Hard to access pool toys in overgrown shrubs and they were dirty and wet. Overall we'd stay again

While the changed our checking time at the last minute... which made things somewhat difficult... since we had planned our trip to the minute... The pool needed attention... cleaning and water... and was told that someone would be over to address it... no one ever came... we had to fix the dryer... The hot water tank is to small or set to low to accommodate the amount of guests that can sleep there.

Loved this spot! Excellent location. Close to the beach and great restaurants. Wonderful if you don't want to leave the house too! Kids loved the pool and the bunk room. Comfortable beds and couches to lounge. Nicely equipped kitchen if you don't want to eat out all the time. Quiet area for walks too!

Family trip with 9 of us and we all loved the house and the location. Plenty of room, clean, fun decor, well-stocked kitchen, short walk to the beach, and an even shorter walk to the river. As noted in other reviews, there are some items that need to be fixed and the property in general could use a little TLC, but nothing that really affected our stay. The temps were cooler while we were there, but the pool never got very warm, so not sure if an issue with pool heater or just the weather.

First let me say that itrip vacations was a phenomenal company and was always just a text away when I needed them. I stayed in this home 2 times in the span of two weeks. The first time there was a pull out couch that didn’t pull out, none of the remotes had batteries and the dining room chairs were all about to fall apart. Itrip vacations sent a handyman out to rectify the problems in a timely manner. A few days later i was grilling and the entire bottom of the grill fell out almost right on my feet. A new grill was purchased and was there for our second trip. A few other wonky things about this place. The outlets and all worn and dont hold any prongs in place allowing anything charging to possibly fall right out. We had a few problems with hot water to certain fixtures. The kitchen sink fixture is broken and it is difficult to change from spray mode to regular. Overall this was a good experience except it seems the owner of this place is not interested in upkeep. That worked out for us as we had teenagers, so I didn’t have to worry about them breaking things as most of the fixtures and appliances get so much wear and are in need of some repair when we arrived. Bring a small tool kit as you may have to tighten legs on a chair or tighten up a door knob that is barely hanging on. If you need space near the beach and aren’t worried about having everything work perfectly this may be your space. For the price i dont think it is worth it. For future trips i will most likely us itrip vacations but will not stay at this unit.

Nice sized space. Very roomy with nice outside covered sitting area. Nice private pool. Public beach parking just a few blocks from the home with lots of available parking and a short walk to a beautiful beach. Would stay again.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay! We were a party of 10 ladies in town for a bachelorette party, so it was just the right size for us. It was a good location for us being near the beach but also not too far from downtown St. Augustine. The host was very accommodating in letting us check in early and very responsive with questions during our stay. The pool was the biggest bonus for us, and felt like we were in our own private oasis. I do think the property is a little more “well-loved” than the pictures portray but we didn’t mind. They were also a little a stingy with house supplies like TP, paper towels, garbage bags, things like that. For a house with 10 people to have only a single extra roll of TP per bathroom is a little extreme, especially when we’re from out of town and don’t have easy access to purchase our own. We resorted to stashing our own tissue while out to get through the last day, so for other visitors, you might consider bringing your own extras. I would also like to point for other out-of-towners, it was rather difficult to get Ubers or Lyfts at times…ride sharing services seem to be a little unpredictable in this area so I would plan ahead as much as possible. All in all, would visit again!

I love this house and location. The drive to museums and historical sites was not long at all. The beautiful beach is a few minutes away on foot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chiquita Sun house. Nicely furnished and HUGE rooms with hardwood floors throughout. The master BR had an amazing luxury bathroom. The open Floorplan living room/dining room/kitchen made a great area to relax with friends. Not to mention the covered porch and very secluded pool area with heated pool. We only wish we could have stayed longer.. We would highly recommend this place for either short or long getaways.

Had a wonderful girls weekend at the Chiquita Sun House. The house provided a spacious and comfortable setting to provide the back drop to our St Augustine trip-only 15 mins away. We enjoyed lounging on the cushy sofas, sleeping in the soft beds, sipping coffee on the extravagant covered porch, and cooking/dining in the large kitchen. Unfortunately we only dipped our toes in the heated pool, so we will save that for next time.

Everything was as advertised. Getting to drive out onto the beach was a huge benefit. House was comfortable, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds and huge deck was great a great place to lounge. Management was quick to respond and helpful with all requests.

Your property could use much needed care. Outside areas Very dirty. We had a rental; we realize what needs to be done. Wiring, plug ins, shower door? Just needs upkeep. Distance walkable for some, but the kids; No. We did enjoy our visit.

The property was very nice and we all had a great time. There were just a few issues that arose that put a little bump in our weekend. The pool pump was leaking and most of the water in the pool ran out so we were unable to use the pool which was upsetting, garbage disposal did not work, one of the door handles was very loose and about to fall off. There were very few towels and no beach towels at all that we could find, oven needed to be scrubbed as we tried to cook in the oven after the grill would not work and had to throw away all of the food that was placed in the oven due to the billowing smoke from whatever had been cooked in their previously, we had to open windows and doors to air the home out from black billowing eye burning smoke. We left a day early due to these issues. But all in all we would certainly stay there again as it was big enough for our gang and other than the few snafus we enjoyed our time spent together at the house. And the back deck is amazing, this is where we spent most of our time.

This house is not located on the beach but was just a very short walk to the beach. The house is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful heated private pool. We stayed here for our daughters 16th birthday and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect, just a short drive to old st Augustine or a short walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded at all either! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit St Augustine.

Down stairs bathroom had mold. Ice maker did not work. Pool and pool area not clean with way to many bushes. Sorry it just seems like the place needs some love.

Nice large home which was a great space for a group of 6 teenage boys. However, home was extremely worn down & needed a lot of TLC. Cabinets chipped and wouldn't close, pool area & yard not maintained. Overall, house was large & clean but needed a lot of work done. I wouldn't stay again for the price for the condition of home. Also, home was far from the beach with no sidewalk or place to cross busy street.

We enjoyed our stay! House was great location to beach and about 15 minute drive to historic downtown. Our kids loved the bunk beds and all the beds were very comfy

We had a great time. The property was well kept and stocked perfectly for our family of 8!! Wish it was on the beach but other than that it was perfect!! Could use a little maintenance on outdoor pool amenities and the couches where not great. We tried to leave a little paper goods behind for the next occupant. But overall great place!!

Great place to stay with a nice pool. The beach access is close and it doesn’t get very crowded, we didn’t have problems to find a parking spot, and there was a shower to rinse off the sand from the kids before getting in the car The house is good and clean but the outside needs some updating, we didn’t have any problems but it would look nice.

Needs some tlc outside . Pull out sofa was broken. Door knob going outside kept falling off. Needs some updates as far s living room furniture. Pool area could use some pressure washing. Location was great. House was clean.
