Would stay here again

My son and I took a quick ski trip. The location and ease were perfect. Room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful and accommodating. We would definitely book this again.

THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING in this property! I looked over the listing again on VRBO and it does not say this anywhere. It was so hot in the room at night that we were unable to sleep well. We slept with the door open to the outside balcony/parking lot every night and it was still so hot! I consider it false advertising that it is not written in the description, especially considering the price we paid. I'm sure this property is fine during the winter, but I would not recommend staying here in the summer. Also, the parking lot is packed. When we were ready to leave our car was blocked in (due to the lack of parking). The valet guy and my husband tried to push the car out of the way. They were finally able to find the owner of the car and move it. Lastly, the handle to turn the shower on must have been so old it was stripped. The shower ran for 2 hours and could not be turned off. After two calls to the front desk, someone finally came to fix it. On a positive note, the location is nice and the pool is very nice with a pretty view.

Everything was great - staff, amenities, little extras such as wine on arrival and great coffee. Location cannot be beat!

Great location close to the lifts

Awesome location, very clean. Couldn't have been more pleased.

1st and not last stay at Lion's Square Lodge. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet.

Great room and great location!

Everything about this room, location, and the amenities is perfect. The room is updated and very clean. There is a ski shop in the basement, wonderful restaurant downstairs, and a hot tub, pool, and sauna open all winter. Can’t wait to return for my next ski trip!

The picture of this unit is definitely accurate. From the magnificent, comfortable decor to all the amenities we could have possibly needed, our stay in Unit 472 made our Vail getaway quite special! The unit was immaculate; more than enough drawer & closet space, new microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot, hair dryer and toaster were used and appreciated. Even the well designed bathroom deserves 5 stars. The employees we encountered were helpful and friendly. Extremely well located to Lionshead, the gondola, and bus stop. We will be back for ski season and look forward to staying in this unit.

This unit is in a great location located steps from the Gondola. The unit was clean, had new carpeting, and had decent beds.

Pros:
- Unit 472 had new soft carpet, decent beds, and reasonable water pressure, and a nice view of the parking lot (The unit overlooks the parking but it's a nice view as parking lots go.)
- Great location - steps to the Gondola.
- Parking: Great that it is offered if you can find a space. (See note below)
- Lobby: cozy lobby with fireplace.
- Pool and Hot Tub: I didn't use them but they looked nice.
- Ski rental in the building by Charter Sports (Super convenient!)


Cons:
- Parking is not always available because others sneak into the parking lot and take valuable spaces. I literally saw a van pull into the lot, the driver hops out and walks up the street. Not going to the Lodge. I had no place to park!! I also saw cars sneak in and people get out to go skiing and then come back at 3 after the lifts close and go home. The Lodge needs to do a much better job of policing the lot or tow immediately!!
- Laundry Machines: There are machines which is great if you want to dry stuff after skiing but when I was there, 75% of the machines were not working!
- Horrible smell near the El Sabor restaurant. If your unit is anywhere near that restaurant and you don't like the smell of Latin American food, I would not book at the lodge! Just passing through the lobby near that place in the morning made me gag!
- Unit 472 had a slow draining sink.

This hotel room was the perfect location for our stay in Vail. While the room was a little small for our family of four, it had everything that we needed and was just a few steps from the ski lift.

This property was perfectly set near amenities, hiking trails and restaurants.

This was the best little unit to stay in! Great location, very clean, exactly what we needed!

Affordable and close to all activities. Great heated pool. Still surprised that no units have A/C. Was a little warm overnite.

We recently had a wonderful stay at Lions Square. Rooms were well appointed. Hotel was clean. Staff was kind and considerate. Will be back.

Perfect for ski in/ out. You park your car when you get there and you don’t need to move again until you leave. Plenty of restaurants with in waking distance. If I had to say something negative, it would be there where no cups or utensils. I would definitely stay here again

Lion Square Lodge is the perfect choice if you would like to be right next to the slopes. Well maintained unit and very comfortable.
