The property was lovely and restful: we felt like we slept in the vineyards! The staff was wonderful and attentive. We appreciated the complimentary car service in to town for our dinner reservation. And the morning yoga was great! (wonderful instructor)

While sitting on our balcony in the afternoon, there’s was a lot of noise from some building being done in preparation for an event, which made it unpleasant to stay outside so we had to retreat inside. That was our only negative experience.

The location and the surrounding landscape of trees and vineyards was quite nice. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The restaurant was good.

The rate of $2300 per nite, though comparable to other 5 star resorts in the area, was just not justified. The room was nice but not spectacular and the pool, though not used by us, seemed small for a resort of this size. The layout of the room was odd, with just a wood partition to separate the desk. Also the room did not feel luxe bc of the raw wood materials used.

Do not forget and leave anything in your room, for when you remember and call them they have no knowledge of what was left and find nothing. It just will disappear. Not good.

From the minute we entered, we knew this was going to be a special place. The grounds were manicured, the design was beautiful, and the views were amazing. Immediately when we arrived, we saw the attention to detail and we are from the design world so this is very important to us. That for us was of the utmost importance, until we were greeted by the amazing staff. Other hotels in the Napa area, and for that matter, anywhere in this county should use this as the benchmark for great service. Simply unparalleled. We travel extensively, and this may be the best experience we’ve ever had in the states. We’ve only found this level of commitment while traveling abroad so it is refreshing to see it here in the US. After we were so pleasantly welcomed, we were taken by electric cart to our amazing room that felt more like a private villa. You have a private entrance and a private terrace that overlooks the maturing vineyard as well as adjacent natural land. Each room is strategically positioned to take advantage of nature while giving you nice privacy. The rooms are designed with minimalism in mind, but comfortable. Natural wood, brass and elevated materials only. Such care. Tons of great light is always present with floor to ceiling windows. A sliding glass door takes you out to your private terrace where they have used high end furniture as well as a private gas fire pit for those chilly evenings. Each room provides robes and slippers so you can enjoy it all day and night. The restaurant on grounds is of a very high standard and the drinks are made by a real bartender. No pre-mixed drinks here for sure. We opted for breakfast in the room and I have to say that was one of the best decisions we made. Delivered in a wooden crate that was thoughtfully organized. They even have a button in the box that you push to notify them when you are finished and they can remove it from the room. No more sitting the food at your front door so other guests have to see the mess.
