We were lucky enough to stay at Mango Lodge during the current heatwave. The whole experience met our needs perfectly and the food on offer exceeded all our expectations. Its a bijou property but had everything we needed for a few days exploring that part of of the country. Nigel and Gary were perfect hosts making sure we had everything we needed but in a very unobtrusive way. We enjoyed a breakfast everyday that was personalized to our requirements and who could resist dinner with such a choice on offer. They went out of their way to cook to order for us. Our dogs were made just as welcome as we were. Mango Lodge is definitely on our list to revisit next time we visit Whitstable and the surrounding area.

Nothing really. We read the property specification before booking and wasn't disappointed. What we saw in the photos provided was exactly what we got.

Cold on arrival as no heating on. Electric radiator supplied but took a long time to heat the room up. Would have been nice to arrive to a warm room in winter, especially as one of us has Reynauds and the other COPD. The COPD sufferer did not have a good night as felt atmosphere was damp and affected his chest and breathing. Distracting lighting in garden coming on during night & flashing through blinds.

Everything was good, Nigel is a very nice person very considerate, and made us feel very comfortable, we have stayed there before, and will again.

The table is too small to get all the breakfast stuff on, needs one with collapsible sides.

Full English to die for, served to us in the cabin by a most congenial host.

Mango Lodge is a little jewel - small but beautifully equipped and presented. The breakfasts we had were lovely, some of the best we've had, and the kind weather allowed us to eat them out on the patio. Nigel was a friendly and helpful host.

Not much. The vanity sink in the en suite I found a bit small for washing in, but I understand space is limited.

Everything- I’ m a little OCD … this place was cute , clean , comfy and convenient… even parked my Harley safely behind gates … couldn’t have been better !

The property was exceptional, host was fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate us, very good for dogs as the garden was enclosed, we absolutely loved it and will definitely book again.

There was nothing to dislike.

The lodge is ideal for an overnight stay and the bed was comfortable. Nigel had told us he wouldn't be there when we arrived but he came out to see us the next morning as we were leaving - he's very friendly.

The location was close to the shops and seafront. The facilities in the lodge were good and it was very helpful to have towels, soap and shower gel provided. Provision made for dogs staying was a nice touch. The garden was lovely and pleasant to sit in.

The problems with the TV reception. It would be good to have a full length mirror fitted to the back of the wardrobe door.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow, hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and huge, didn't need to eat until the evening. Really good quality sausages and bacon and loved the beans which had a little extra flavour.

Sink in bathroom was a bit small for shaving.

It’s the perfect midpoint for us (2adults & 1 Dog) to stop-over on our journey from West Ireland to North Germany. It’s small but has everything we need and more. Comfy bed, Coffee &Tea , even some homemade cookies. We asked if we could have a sandwich to go as we had to leave very early and were presented with a huge, tasty breakfast roll , flapjack and banana. Nigel & Chris are very accommodating and great to deal with. Will come back if they have us.

Nigel was a lovely host, very welcoming but gave me my space. The lodge was very comfortable and private. Amazing breakfast! I'm not sure how anyone manages to finish it. Coming back in May!

Excellent breakfast - you won’t leave hungry

The host really went the extra mile making sure accomodation was clean and the facilities were excellent including the chocolate cookies! The breakfast was amazing and the service first rate.

Everything was good, very satisfied, breakfast was fantastic 5 🌟 I have stayed at mango lodge before it was very satisfying then, I would like to go in the summer one time when the weather is good, I know it would be very nice. Gary and nigel are very nice people who make feel like they have known you for years. Excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like apart from the Fog on the way home.
