Our stay was amazing. Loved the tub. I also loved how she printed out instructions for everything that I had answers for. She gave us a couple eating places that turned out great. Every time we needed help with something or had any questions she responded back in a timely manner.

After years of great VRBO stays, I finally experienced the nightmare stay. My first morning, I took a shower at this VRBO. When I stepped out of the shower, onto the bathroom floor, it had flooded. So much so that it had flowed into the bedroom area. I immediately notified the owner and she arrived quickly. But her arrival quickly turned to accusation. Despite the fact that what she accused me of was ludicrous for a person staying there, was something that her cleaning crew would have done, and was something that a significant construction project in the backyard could have caused, she blamed me. Regardless of the fact that I helped clean up and figure out what may have happened, stayed out of the room all day to allow for workers to fix the issue, carried by valuables with me the entire trip, and washed in the sink when instructed not to use the shower, she told me I was selfish, disrespectful, and didn't care. Add to that that the codes for check in were provided half an hour after check in and that the room was hot and humid, but you were instructed not to use the air conditioner overnight (see other review), I think nightmare sums it up. Her last message to me told me never to contact her again . . . no worries about that! On a positive note, I ended my trip in a great VRBO in Albuquerque where there was no drama!! The location of this room was terrific, easy to park on the street. Close to everything, and quiet. The room was lovely, and was equipped with complimentary coffee, dishes, small convention oven. The bathroom was fully stocked with anything you need. The outdoor area was a real surprise. We had our own little spot to have our coffee in the morning, surrounded by beautiful greenery. Connie has a lovely property, and you can see that a lot of care and pride is shown. She was also able to provide a beach chair that was very appreciated. Connie is a great host, responds quickly and is available if you need anything. The construction is a non issue, the men working are respectful and we were away all day anyway. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

I was excited to stay in this place. The patio looked great as did the bathroom. Ultimately the air conditioning didn't work and while the host was responsive, she was not solution oriented nor did she apologize for the AC not working or the unit being very warm. The AC in question is a portable unit with a hose that attaches to the wall. It is not central air or a mini split. The fan on the unit ran, but after 5 hours, it never got cold. The host suggested that I keep the door open to "air out" the unit, but there is no screen on the door and the unit was very warm and stuffy, far past "airing out". After notifying the host about the non-working AC on the first night, she offered for me to check out the next morning and refund the balance of my stay, which she did, but not before telling me how generous this was of her. I would have been happy to stay if the AC worked or if there was effort to fix it, or if there was a screen on the door but none of the above were true. The host said many times that the AC was brand new, and didn't know why I was having trouble with it, but regardless of it being new it wasn't blowing cold air. Couple notes: There are french doors without screens, no windows. The yard is under construction. The patio is enclosed by a chain link fence wrapped in bamboo.

Loved the shower! We will definitely be back.

The room was exactly as advertised; lovely bed, great bathroom, wonderful and appreciated robes, coffee, refrig, --everything!! We really loved the privacy and yet in a wonderful, beautiful neighborhood with ample parking . Connie made sure we had privacy, easy entry, and just a pretty environment! We would recommend this space to couples or singles! The amenties are lovely. We will consider this properity when we vist our son again!! Thank you Connie.

This was about as close to being on your own as a shared space rental gets — we scarcely heard anything (outside of the dog barking occasionally, which is fine, it’s a dog, they bark) and the private entrance makes it feel very much like your own space. It’s a small space that you probably won’t spend all day in, but that hardly seems to be the point — it’s a great place to crash at the end of the day and start fresh in the morning. We rented a car so the proximity to Santa Monica was great, plus we were able to comfortably drive to and from Malibu, Santa Barbara, and all over downtown LA. Only tiny complaint would be that the whirlpool is an emphasis on the listing and it never had enough hot water to quite fill it at temperature… but maybe I just like it too hot. Otherwise great stay with a communicative host and would gladly come back again.

Just what I needed. A comfortable, impeccable, quiet place to rest my weary bones. Everything was just perfect!

This stay was so beautiful! I felt so pampered while here, and Connie was so kind and considerate. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy all the amenities due to unforeseen circumstances on our part, but we hope to come back again.

This property was within walking distance of where my daughter and her family live, so it was perfect! The property was spacious, comfortable, private and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Connie has created a charming getaway in a great location in Mar Vista, near to countless sites and great restaurants in L.A. Super clean and comfy with a relaxing outdoor seating area and a spa-like bathroom. Would highly recommend.

I WAS PARKED ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE HOME! Her dogs start barking at 7:00am and bark and fight in her unit ALL DAY! The jacuzzi tub is old, black and covered in white soap scum. Owner did not send me the entry codes at check in time because “you are not arriving until later so I thought that there was no hurry”. Then wanted me to let her know when I left so the unit could be cleaned. I expect to have the unit from check in until check out. We have stayed at many, many VRBO homes across the country, this was the worst! Owner had every excuse in the world for her rudeness including and then call me crazy! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!

This space was perfect for me! It was cute, clean, nice amenities(a couple of bottled water in the fridge was nice too) and private. As a single woman traveling alone I felt extremely safe in the residential setting of this room. The owner was easy to get ahold with and talk to. Overall a perfect stay!

We flew to LA to see Dead and Co. at the Hollywood Bowl. The neighborhood was nice with options close by to dine. The airport was about 20 minutes away so over all location was excellent.

We had a lovely experience and the host was easily available.

The host, Connie, has thought out every detail to make settling in a breeze. A thorough checklist is provided before you arrive and a copy is in your quarters. There's plenty of storage for clothes. The layout and furnishings reminded us of our European travels. The kitchenette is minimal with a small refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, and a Keurig. There's plenty of glassware and eating utensils. We wanted to escape life for a few days so we brought a cooler of pre-cooked frozen meals and a box or two of drinks. That made me feel a bit cluttered. But if you're just needing coffee and a light breakfast, or a quiet treat at the end of the day, it's perfect! The bathroom is luxurious and a wonderful escape all by itself. One could spend hours there after a busy day. Very relaxing. If you need a relaxing retreat after spending days sightseeing, playing at the beaches, and sampling the diverse LA restaurant scene, this is an excellent base for your adventures. You can go crazy all day knowing you'll have a luxurious night to get ready for the next day.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here. The spa-tub is excellent and the place is very close to safe, fun activities during Covid such as the beach, Will Rodgers state park, Topanga national forest, etc. I highly recommend this Vrbo :)
