El altillo de la habitación es un poco incómodo

Tudo! A facilidade para efectuar o check in,o maravilhoso chá e bolinho à nossa espera. A decoração lindíssima e o conceito slow living, o conforto das instalações... é que não há mesmo nada para não gostar! O pequeno almoço é delicioso e tão cuidadosamente preparado que é mesmo um gosto e a dona Maria foi uma querida. A atenção da música ambiente.... Aconselho e sem dúvida voltaremos. Obrigada.

Het was even zoeken naar de exacte locatie, maar eens de deur door, kom je in een schitterend verblijf terecht. Smaakvol ingericht, prachtig gerestaureerd pand met knappe kamers en een gezellige binnentuin met terras en klein zwembad. Ontbijt wordt aan tafel geserveerd en is tot in de puntjes verzorgd met oog voor detail.

Hoewel het ontbijt super verzorgd en lekker is, was het wel 3 dagen op rij hetzelfde (enkel een kleine variatie in het roerei). In het dorp zelf valt er weinig te beleven.

Pigeons in the pool area

The design of the guesthouse it’s beautifully done. Everything’s designed wanting to make you feel home, with an extra touch of care. Our room was cozy, the bed was super comfortable. Handsoap, body was, body lotion, hair phone all included. We loved the design of the courtyard, the plants are beautiful and we could smell the lavender everywhere. The breakfast was delicious, a mix of homemade jam, mini croissants, mini pancakes and local cheese, freshly baked bread, abundant plate of fruits, coffee and fresh orange juice.. we couldn’t have asked for better stay!

In the middle of the city of Beja is an oasis of tranquility. Close to everything, amazing breakfast, impeccable interior design taste. Great for chilling or as a base to explore the nearby wineries. Tasty breakfast and a light cold cut plate to die for.

Opt for a bigger room to avoid stairs. The double rooms have a comfortable bed upstairs, but space besides that is the size of a suitcase. Luckily amazing common areas make up for it.

What a beautiful, tasteful and tranquil place. We loved it. Although we did not meet the owners, Mariana and Maria, who run the Guest House, are exemplary! Lovely, LOVELY ladies! The bed was the most comfortable in which we have ever slept and breakfast was probably the best we have every had anywhere, and we have travelled a great deal! We cannot rate Aljana highly enough! Special hugs and thanks to Mariana and Maria. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future!

Beautiful place this is the star of Beja! Fantastic staff and Marianna couldn't have done more. Magnificent breakfast so so good!

The stairs up to the bed in the mezanine, room a little sqishy but was beautiful decorated and little touches that made it a beautiful environment.

We had the pleasure of staying at Aljana, and we must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped into the place, to the amazing staff, breakfast and accommodation.

what a delight to stay in this beautiful house. it is located just by the castle and restaurants are just a few minutes’ easy walk away. the property has so much character , simple and elegant. and there is a swimming pool for when the weather gets really hot. lots of thoughtful touches - a welcome drink, afternoon cake, beautifully presented breakfast boards.

the room was quirky and cute but cramped - the taller you are the more uncomfortable it will be. on our second night we got very little sleep as people were talking late into the night and through early morning - eventually at about 02:30 am the conversation died down and sleep was possible. Very annoying.

There is a great sense of relaxation in this house. The minimalist design of this old beautiful house is a pure pleasure. It’s as if the world stops behind those doors and it is a nice feeling . The simple but beautiful garden has a calming peaceful feel ans the small pool is a great plus. Breakfast is wonderful.

Loved the small town, off the beaten path location. Easy to explore the Alentenjo and Algarve regions. Very quiet, relaxing property. Best breakfast of our 3 week trip. Gracious staff. Nice living room style public areas to relax in.

Charming and beautifully appointed room and guest house. Great location adjacent to the castle. A fabulous breakfast spread was offered each morning. We hope to return again, perhaps next time with family or friends.

the Architecture was very modern and ok

The room had no closet , nothing to store your cloth, just an open hanger trolley, we felt more or less as having Camping in a tent. I had ants in our room on the floor and at night in the bed , crawling over me They did not clean up even after complaining and no one responded to me about this. Breakfast you need to give them exact time when you want to have breakfast- than you just have 1 hour time frame to eat. Variety always the same on a preselected board, no gluten free bread, no muesli, staff very unfriendly, specially the receptionist Sarah. She never greet in the morning when she sees her guests, she usually is not there, Hotel totally left alone with 1-2 cleaning staff, even when we left after 9 days(!) no one shows up to say Good-Bye nor help us with anything. Chairs on the Terrasse are extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for a Hotel Pool in the morning very dirty of Pigeon dirt and really bad smelling stuff - can not use the pool. All day long Pigeons flying above your head at the pool side and leaving their " business" to the pool. The Pigeons have a fixed station at the Church wall direct to the pool side. This wall was extremely dirty. When they drop their poohs in the water from hygiene point of view the water is not any longer hygiene enough to swim in it as too many Pigeons poohs. If you like swimming in the morning or in general this hotel is not to recommend.

The hotel was absolutely incredible. Such a unique space which was very tranquil and allowed for relaxation. The owners did not miss any small details throughout the hotel. The breakfast which was made for us had several items directly from their farm. The food was delicious and was quite large - we didn’t go away hungry! 5 stars!!

Stairs to mezzanine were more difficult for older people.
