This house was absolutely perfect for our large combined family vacation in July. This is our second stay at Lemon Drop and we came back based on the size/sleeping options and great location near the park for our kids. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived with no complaints from that front.The only negatives I did want to mention:1. We were delayed in checking because "maintenance was coming" but they never came and it only delayed our check in.2. The master is advertised with a queen bed but it's actually a full. We had hoped they'd rectified this, but unfortunately they have not.3. A window blind was broken for the duration of our stay and no one ever came to fix itOverall the house could use a little love with some updating, painting, etc. but it comes at a great price and offers so much space for large families.

Despite what I'm about to say, this house was great for a multitude of families to stay in and I'd probably do it again. That said, things just kept breaking. When we arrived, we discovered that the rooftop porch was blocked off and unusable, which they never told us in advance. We were really looking forward to that so it was a huge disappointment for which we were not compensated. As the week progressed, some blinds broke, the oven door broke, the faucet in the kitchen was worn out... you could tell this rental has seen better days. That said, it was great for having tons of kids in one place. Liked that it was right next to the playground and the golf cart was handy. But the stuff breaking and especially the blocked off roof with lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth.

Lemon Drop is an awesome house, in a great area by the park within the amazing Beach Walk resort. Everything from the beach, to the pool to the park obviously, was extremely accessible. We loved Lake Kai being close and took advantages of the activities available. We had a huge crew with ages ranging from 10 months to 65, and the space was perfectly sized and situated for our needs.
I have two small issues I would definitely want future guests to be aware of. The upper balcony looks awesome, and is advertised, but is not accessible and was locked with a padlock. I'm sure the view is gorgeous, so we were disappointed we didn't have access. The master suite is said to be a queen bed, but it'd definitely a full, so plan accordingly. Lastly, the upper floor was a little warm in the evening in relation to the main level or basement. None of these things would prevent us from recommending the property, just aspects to expect.

This property worked perfectly for our family weekend getaway. We had 20 people ranging from 4 to 64 years old, and there was something for everyone. We went to the beach, pool, tennis courts, rented gear on the lake, shopped at the outlet mall, and went to the zoo. There was plenty of room for everyone. There were two things to note....There was not a bedroom on the main floor, which might be an issue for people with mobility issues. The heating/cooling was not well balanced. The upstairs rooms were quite warm and the bottom rooms were freezing. Looking forward to returning!

I reserved the lemon drop for my extended family’s getaway (20 family members) and it was perfect. The space worked well for the kids and adults alike allowing us all to gather separately in our own spaces or all in the family room. The home was pretty clean and had all the necessities that you’d have at home therefore not feeling any lack or discomfort. There is a playground for the kids right behind the house and all of the community activities are in walking distance to the home. The home also has a golf carts for those who don’t want to walk or when items need to be transported. I would definitely recommend this home to friends.

The house was wonderful and fit my group of 15 with lots of room. I can’t wait to return with my children next year, as it’s a very family oriented place. The only complaint I had was the cleaning fee is very expensive and they require you to do a lot. We were fined for leaving a few drinks in the fridge and because the garbage was full and unable to be taken out so we left it at the door. All in all, they ended up holding $50 from my security deposit and I paid a $375 cleaning fee, so it was hefty in my opinion. It still did not take a way from our time and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation!

Four generations were able to spend a great long weekend at this location. The location was off the main roads which was nice but still very accessible. Having the playground so close was a plus. We had brought things like cleaning supplies with us but there was no need. Absolutely everything we needed was provided. Home was clean and well maintained. Wonderful experience.

Our family rented this house for our parent's 50th anniversary and were extremely pleased - it's right next to the playground, and was very nicely equipped. Golf carts make it easy to get to the darling cafe (great donuts!), lake, and fantastic beach. Would stay at this resort/home again!

Office people were very nice and tried to respond to our concerns. The house was listed as 6 bedrooms, the 6th being a fold out. Perfectly OK except the foldout was broken and apparently for some time. Other issues, one shower/tub was broken and inoperative, plumbing backed up and needed cleaning, dishwasher trays missing parts (unable to place dishes and slide in trays). On the last day, there was no hot water. House seems to be not very well maintained - especially for the price.

All 18 of us from age 2 to 72 enjoyed Lemon Drop at Beachwalk. The staff was attentive and responsive. The house was well-equipped and durable. Joe Lane is off the main streets. That gave us a lot of privacy and little traffic to worry us about the little ones. If we come again we would prefer a site closer to an open flat area where we can recreate outdoors. The Lemon Drop lot is sloped and covered with dune grass, so outdoor rec is pretty much confined to the back deck. We had nice weather so it didn't become an issue. The biggest downer about Lemon Drop is that it needs a power wash to remove the high humidity, woodsy moss and lichen, particularly on the shaded sides.
