There's nothing negative to mention. People should just expect to share the toilet and shower, but they are really clean.

Fantastic place to spend a while in Sousse. In a quiet location but with easy connections to the centre. Toutou is a fabulous host who cares a lot about his guests and his guesthouse. You feel very well looked after! The guesthouse setup is a nice way to meet other travellers while having some privacy and quiet if you need some.

Everything there is perfect for international or even domestic travelers! I highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Dar Hkaiem - a very unique, charming, little guesthouse - centered around the most beautiful courtyard - and with a super nice and fun host with so much passion for his place. Toutou served delicious breakfasts and let us try tunesian specialities ;-) We loved all the small chats with him now and then, and we could always reach him and he could help with anything. There was a great guest kitchen - and everything was clean. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed, and we also really enjoyed that it was in a local neighbourhood with friendly and welcoming people :-) The cookies with our names on were simply extraordinary :-) :-) So cute.

I was sold on Dar Hkaïem from the reviews here on Booking as well as on HostelWorld, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Toutou is an incredible host who was flexible in allowing me to check in early, helped me arrange transport, cooked amazing breakfasts (and dinner) even during Ramadan when he himself was fasting. From the personalized cookies (amazing!) upon arrival to the moment I left and even beyond, it was clear that Toutou wanted to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. We even went to a café one evening with his friend and played card games, which was one of the highlights of my entire trip to Tunisia. As for the guesthouse itself, the decor is great, the space is clean, and my room was cute, comfortable, and safe. Centered around a center courtyard, there are only a few guest rooms (my first night, I was the only guest), a toilet, shower room, and small kitchen. I was also happy that my room was big enough to allow me to unroll my yoga mat with some space to spare. I have friends who live in Tunis and emphatically recommended Dar Hkaïem to them...and I recommend it to you, too!

I really loved everything about Dar Hkaïem; it was a bit far from Sousse center (about 18-20 minutes by taxi), but if you have Bolt, it's easy enough to get a car into the city. So grateful for my stay there!

Our stay was amazing, we had a really clean room and you could see that the owner puts a lot of love in his guesthouse. We even had cookies in our rooms with our names on it! The owner is super nice and gave us fantastic recommendations for our further trip in Tunisia. We would love to spend more time there!

Majdi took care of any wishes and made sure that I felt safe and comfortable during the stay. He was always reachable and gave a quick response. He’s Personality is kind and friendly, he is open and interested about his guests but he also provides privacy and space at the same time. I’d recommend to anyone to stay at his Guesthouse. - Toutou is a great host, he will make that you feel like at home from the very first moment. Dar Hkaïem is a home away from home. I really felt like at home during my stay. I was supposed to stay for 2 days but I finally stayed almost a week... it's a great place with very positive vibes. - Dar Hkaïem is a wonderful traditional house in Hammam Sousse, just a bit outside of Sousse. Public transportation to Sousse, to the train station or to the louage is extremely easy (and also very cheap) and Hammam Sousse is by far much nicer than Sousse. I always walked back home at night and it's a super safe place. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, and also to stay in Hammam Sousse, the atmosphere is much better than in Sousse, especially in the evening or at night. - There are also plenty of options around Dar Hkaïem for a café, having dinner, etc. But if you prefer, you can have breakfast or even dinner in the house. There is also a kitchen that you can use (I didn't) but it has everything what you could need. - WiFi is excellent, I had to work a few times during my stay and it worked excellent. It's also the perfect place if you need to work remotely or if you just need a good WiFi for any reason. - Thanks for the great experience, I hope to come back soon!

I adored my stay at Dar Hkaïem. It is quiet, in a save, local neighborhood. The host has been very friendly and welcoming, with some good recommendations how to get around. The room was clean, there are plenty of blankets, a heater, towels and even some water when I arrived. The shower is warm and internet was working very well. There is a great light/ atmosphere at night in the courtyard. It is possible to order some food, which the host will prepare and it is a great plus. I felt very safe and would come back anytime

Dar Hkaïem is a little bit offsite. Since I travelled with public transport, arrival was a bit uncertain. I had help of a local to find the way. If you travel without mobile data, make sure you make arrangements about your arrival with the host in advance. The walk into Sousse is a bit far. But taxis are cheap.

Toutou is the best host you can wish for. He showed me around and brought me to nice cafés and restaurants. Also he helped me to acquire a simcard and gave me advice for transport. I came as a guest and left as a friend.

Let's start with the host Majdi, he made our trip amazing, he knows everything you need to know about Tunesia and visiting around, we hung out with his friends and had a great experience. Majdi loves his job and you can feel that in his guesthouse, it's an old traditional family house, carefully renovated and furnished. If you are looking for a unique experience in the heart of Hammam Sousse I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for everything Majdi.

It's like a little hidden gem. It was spotless. The bed so comfy. Breakfast just right. Facilities everything you need. Tou Tou I cannot thank you enough for all your help. Especially coming and finding me when I kept lost and having to drag all my luggage 😆. Fantastic value for money. A must try for anyone looking for an inexpensive experience

Simply amazing ! The hostel is beautiful, Toutou and his friends did a incredible job renovating it. Toutou is a great guy and host, He speaks different languages and recommanded us lots of activities during our stay. It was such a joy to stay at Dar Hkaïem! The house is beautiful and I appreciated the hot showers and good wifi. Madji is a great host, really helpful and easy to talk to. He went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Breakfast was good as well!

Location is a little far from Sousse center but it's so nice and quiet here, it's worth the distance
