The hostess thought of everything as far as basic essentials one would need- all types of plates, glass ware, cooking utensils, the place was immaculate. Great location, easy walk to the beach and downtown.

We loved the house for shared dinners, table games, and yard grilling and camp fire. Appreciated that grandparents had everything they needed on first floor with easy deck and yard access. The rest of us enjoyed short walks to South Beach for swimming or quick drive with whole family for sunsets. Thank you for a peaceful, joyful week.

Our family absolutely loved this house and the backyard for the outdoor space. This house is located close to the beaches, town, Kids Corner playground and the Van Buren State bike trail. We appreciated the cleanliness and spacious rooms. The backyard has a large deck, large table and outdoor lighting along with a fire pit and seating plus room to play bags. Mary was a great host and responded quickly to our questions. We would definitely rent this place again.

The property was great proximity to downtown and Mary was great to work with. Beautiful back yard. Work very well for 7 members of our family.

We recently stayed for a weekend of racing at Gingerman with adult children and grandparents. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, and the location was excellent...a short walk to the beach and a short drive to stores, restaurants, and Gingerman! We would definitely book this property again!

I highly recommend this house if you are traveling with your family to South Haven! Mary, the owner, was very easy to work with and provided clear, prompt communication. The house was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped for dining in. The back yard was a huge selling point. It was fenced in, which was great for our granddaughters to play in safely. The gas grill was large and easy to use. We loved the fire pit and used it every night. We had perfect weather, but there was a nice television and a wide assortment of games if not. This house is on the south/downtown side, so we had great access to Kids Corner Park, the beach, the splash pad, and downtown. Come here and make yourself at home!!!

The house was perfect for our weekend away with the family. Kids loved that we could walk to two different parks and the beach. Very short drive to downtown (could also be a walk when the kids are a bit older). The house was clean and so well maintained. So much room to hang out and the deck with the large table right off the kitchen was great. One of the best houses we’ve stayed in in South Haven!

This property was very nice. Very clean, charming house and very well maintained. We enjoyed the spacious yard for activity and the deck for dining and relaxing. Inside was a comfortable place to gather and play games. We enjoyed bags, board games and a beach umbrella and chairs provided by the host. Perfect space for our 4 adults and 2 kids. The location was convenient to a wonderful beach. One heads up to keep in mind, for those that may be at risk, there are not any grab bars or grip pads for the tub shower to prevent those that may be vulnerable from slipping. Overall, very happy with our stay :)

This house was much larger than the pictures seem, which was perfect for our big group of friends and family. The beds were comfy, the table on the deck was perfect for meals and yard was awesome for our kids to run and play in. It was great location for evening walks to the Kids Corner and beach sunsets which were timed out in the welcome book!

Loved the house! It was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. The location was great! Everything was either in walking distance or a few minute drive in the car. 5/5 stars!!

I stayed with a large group of friends for a long weekend. The first thing we noticed was how clean the house was. The bedrooms were also very spacious! We really appreciated the large dining room table and outdoor table. The location is great. It’s walkable to the beach and downtown for eating and shopping. We’d definitely stay again!

The house was just as advertised. Very clean, & great location. We had an issue with the lock when we got there, but got Mary on the phone & she was able to fix the problem. If you book this house, you won't be sorry

My family and I loved our stay at Playa Del Haven! Mary was incredibly responsive and helpful from the moment we booked our trip all the way through our final day. That makes a huge difference as a renter! The owners also put together a wonderful welcome binder that is in the home that includes recommendations for local activities, restaurants, and our favorite touch - the sunset time pages (so we could make sure we didn't miss that beautiful South Haven Sunset!). We spent our days at the south beach and kids korner playground and made some wonderful memories! The home itself was impeccably clean! The appliances are new, and having the washer/dryer in the basement was clutch throughout the week. After this experience, I'm not sure we would do a beach vacation without access to a washer/dryer! The yard was a good size and perfect for gathering with our family, letting the kids catch fireflies, or sitting with my husband after tucking the kids into bed. The outdoor lighting was a fun touch, as were the comfy chairs by the fire pit! Each room in the home offered plenty of space and having the A/C units was wonderful in the heat of July as well. There are two full baths in the home, both with tubs, so we were able to get back from the beach and get the kids all washed off quickly by using both showers/tubs! The decor in the home was very relaxing and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Truly, we have no complaints and we loved our stay at Playa del Haven!!

House in nice condition. Neighboring homes very close so we didn’t feel we could enjoy backyard without disturbing them. Good location!

The owners are very kind, dedicated and responsive! It made all of the difference to us. This home was really incredibly nice. Many things have been redone. It is well decorated, cute and comfortable! And most importantly...it was VERY VERY clean. Vs. the VRBO photos as of May 2021, the fire pit was updated including new chairs, the deck table has an umbrella, the big tree by the back gate is gone, kitchen hardwood floors are matching rest of home, and there is a gas grill on the deck not pictured. Keeps getting better. Otherwise it is exactly as pictured inside. The three bedrooms are nice and large. The beds and pillows were comfy. All rooms had ceiling fans, oscillating fans, and window ACs. The temp was controlled with Nest. The two showers had good water pressure and lots of hot water. There is laundry in the basement if needed. When home, the house is stocked with lots of games and movies. And, the dining room table is great for playing cards (just close the blinds so others can’t see what you have in the reflection of the window!) We had fun here. The outdoor space was great, whether we were eating breakfast on the deck or making s’mores at the fire pit on the paver patio. We also had a great Memorial Day cookout thanks to the nice clean grill and outdoor space. The walk to south beach by the lighthouse is 20 minutes, but was really lovely to look at the pretty houses. When we took the beach chairs for the day we drove and paid the $10 parking. If you want to go to see the sunset, it is a shorter walk ~10 min because you can go to one of the benches along the main road and not all of the way to south beach. You must see the sunsets! The welcome book has the time’s for each day laid out for you too. Downtown is ~0.5 mile, very simple walk to shopping and great food - Phoenix Street, Taste, and Kitchen 527 were great meals. There is one downside, but it is out of the owners control - the neighbor. The neighbor doesn’t keep their home to the same high standards. The right neighbors’ home was an eye sore, including garbage in the yard. The homes are close enough that we could hear the woman yelling at her dogs any time they barked. Overall, it is a great property...with a truly SUPER HOST!
