We were greeted by the owner for check. He lives on site which was not shared in the listing. It was not a problem but I would have preferred to know that in advance. When we entered the property it had a very strong musty smell. Had to go buy candle and cans of air freshener and open windows where possible. The listing indicated three bathrooms but there were actually only two and an outdoor shower which I would classify as an amenity. It did note in the listing that the third bathroom was an outside shower but I missed that detail. The shower in the one bathroom is very small and the door is blocked by the toilet. The bathroom with the tub was ok although the tub is chipping, the toilet was loose and the vanity had damage from some type of flood. The owner did come and clean the ceiling fans upon our request as they were extremely dirty. The kitchen was well stocked but not very clean. Inside the cabinets are especially dirty. The microwave worked but made a very loud noise and the vent underneath of it was filthy which we found out when we were boiling water for pasta and the grease was dripping from the steam. There were no cleaning supplies for the tile and laminate floors. We found trash under the beds in the bunk rooms. I’m OK staying at a place that is not updated but it has to be clean.

Perfect location for a family getaway. Easy walk to the beach and boardwalk. Hosts were very accommodating. Thanks for making our family vacation a great experience.

We had a great time at this property! There was plenty of room for 7 adults, 2 kids and an infant. It was an easy walk to the beach even lugging the kids and all the stuff required for kids at the beach. The life guard post was right there, which made it even easier. We loved sitting on the porch, and since the stairs were gated, the kids could spend time on the porch. Overall a great property.

We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing family vacation this year in OC! The location of this house is just perfect, close to beach and close enough to walk to the boardwalk if you like. Frank and Joanne were gracious hosts who took extra steps to ensure we enjoyed our stay! The front porch was an extra added benefit which we thoroughly enjoyed!! We look forward to staying again in the future.

My family loved the location and property. Kitchen was very well-stocked- exceeded my expectations. Beds comfortable and air conditioning works great! We would stay here again for sure!

Great location and accommodations. And parking too! Everyone enjoyed their time here and we look forward to repeating our stay next year
