We loved being so close to the ocean, opening the windows at night to hear the crashing waves. A quick drive to town for any necessities and close to beach access

Cute little studio, perfect for our needs to enjoy a little R&R. and visit the Mendocino coast and some peaceful quiet time together. clean and simple, suited us perfectly.

I sat for the longest time on the front porch

This is the smallest of three rental spaces on this property and when it comes to the view by far the best. It was like having an ever changing piece of art in front of me all the time. I had everything I needed to be comfortable. And with easy proximity to Mendocino village and Shoreline Highway, my stay was marvelous.

The artist’s studio is absolutely charming with inspiring view of the ocean and nice decks around which the daffodils were blooming. Comfortable, pretty, clean and cozy accommodations. Very close to downtown Mendocino though not safe to walk due to no shoulder. However, the method entry is not user friendly. Using the Schlage keypad was not easy and we stood in the cold rain for some time, making several attempts to use the 10 digit code, which we had written down on paper. We had received a link to “how to master” the Schlage and key lock box, but there we were in the elements, without wi-fi yet, trying to open the link. The key lockbox would not open. I tried to call Vacasa but did not have a signal. Seemed a bit ridiculous. Finally we got in. I see another review mentioning that it took 30 minutes to get in. Once in we could not obtain the secure wi fi- had to use insecure one. With that view, no one needs tv,but we had brought a dvd of a movie we hoped to watch. There were no instructions how to deal with the different remote controls in order to get the dvd movie to interact with the TV. In the meanwhile there various warnings about what we should not do. This and the difficulty getting in were not helpful. We did have to report an inoperable outlet and rain-induced leak to Vacasa, and the first thing that happens when you call is an invitation to text instead. I felt like we were renting from a bot! But after reaching humans, I appreciated the interchange.

Absolutely the best view in Mendocino! Ideal for artists, ocean-lovers, and dreamers. A spacious one room studio.

Property was run down, i.e. shabby furniture, rusting accessories in the shower. Also, both days I stayed at the property there was a loud wedding/party going on next door at the Agate Cove Inn. Loud music was playing from 4-10:30pm. The DJ's speakers were no more than 15 feet from the studio. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend in Mendocino became a nerve wracking experience. Be forewarned.

Comfortable bed, nice kitchen, comfortable chairs, great view, lovely flowers, two decks, good shower. We had a great stay and would return. We have spent many happy times in Mendocino and this was a new location to stay. Very charming. Only problem, the road is not so busy as to be noisy for the cottage at all, but in our opinion it is a little too narrow and busy to walk safely down to the bluffs or to town so we ended up driving. Not a big deal.

Sweeping Ocean Views. Wonderful, eclectic decorations. Well appointed with everything you could need in the kitchen. Thoughtful touches (warm blankets to snuggle in on the deck, binoculars to view passing whales). Excellent use of a small space. Never felt cramped. Close to town.

A great getaway, close to headlands and downtown. The decks are fabulous. Small space, but didnt feel cramped or lacking. Would stay again!

Beautifully staged studio cottage. Don’t be fooled by the map, which shows there is a road between the cottage and the sea. The view is actually unobstructed and magnificent.

The cottage was great. They had everything that you could imagine in the line of utensils etc. Pots pans, pampered chef, coffee pots even a waffle maker. Couldn't have had a better view of the ocean. Very clean and comfortable.

The views of the ocean from the Artist’s Studio were amazing! An absolutely gorgeous setting.

The view is pristine, the kitchen is extremely well stocked, and for 2 people it’s plenty spacious. I also doubt you can find a better combination of price and location if you’re looking at staying on the North Cali coast. This is a gem

The directions for driving to the house were easy to follow right up until we parked the car. There was no mention that you have to walk completely around to the left, around the small shed, through a gate marked Private, to the front of the Studio. There you will find the lockbox. We spent about 30 minutes trying a different door because there was no mention of this go-around route. I called Vacasa but by the time they tried to help, we had already found the path. The house was great. It had everything, except any bit of food, save a Himalyan salt shaker. You need to bring everything if you are planning to eat there. It was very convenient to go less than a mile to town but since Lansing Street has cars we decided to drive to town. The views from the 2 porches were amazing. I would definitely stay here again - especially now that I know how to get in!

Our 2 weeks were perfect. Kitchen well stocked. Very clean. Fantastic views. Lots of storage space for a studio. Vacasa property management team were very responsive to our inquiries. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to relax

Great location to some phenomenal nature. One minute drive to the main downtown and less than 15 minute drive to all the local nature hotspots. Photos don’t really show it but you are right next to a main road. Sometimes you do hear trucks and cars. Also the bed is hard as rocks.
