Overall house spacious , stocked sufficiently and nice pool Need updates for dining chairs

This property needs some minor TLC on the maintenance side half the lightbulbs don’t work barbecue is totally shot. Had to buy one pool was not working properly and chairs in the dining room were broken tiles in the master bathroom were broken with sharp edges but I think overall this is a fabulous property we would return we were just request some maintenance to be done.

We loved our stay here. Everything was clean and the setting was beautiful. We will be back if ever traveling in Kauai again.

This was our second stay at this property! We enjoyed the views, pool and hot tub so much we decided to rent again for this trip!

Home has gorgeous views and is in a great location. A few minor upgrades and some maintenance is needed with the property in order for this to be a five star rental.

The photos were definitely a selling point for my group prior to booking. I’m pleased to say that the views were even more stunning in person. The house was clean and a lot of space to get lost should you choose to.

This house exceeded all of my expectations! It’s big, beautiful, well appointed, clean, in a great neighborhood, quiet, and with gorgeous views from every window.

My family and I had the most incredible stay! We love this house! I would say the highlights were the unobstructed waterfall views from the kitchen and deck, the pool surrounded by jungle garden and flowers, huge backyard and the open layout of the kitchen for hanging out having cocktails or cooking dinner. The views of the jungle mountains with waterfalls can be seen everywhere in house and you feel as though you are staying in the tree tops. The landscaping of the huge yard is over the top with flowers and tropical plants. Lots of frogs and wildlife in the jungle behind the house. The house is very spacious and the bedrooms are laid out with plenty of seclusion many with private balconies. The master bedroom is enormous and has a ton privacy since it has its own floor. You wake up every morning watching rainfall on the tops of the jagged mountain range which creates dozens of waterfalls. The house sits on the cutest little cud da sac with a huge driveway and the neighborhood is great for taking a quiet stroll. The oversize wood carving of breeching whales and the other art work help to really make this an authentic feeling you are living here on the island. Peaceful, Private and tranquil would best describe this Hawaiian paradise. We will be coming back.

For my 50th birthday we wanted a large home where our family could all be together. The house is clearly old and has not been updated. There are 4 bedrooms. One bed is so bad my sister ended up leaving and getting a hotel, the sliding doors for 2 of the rooms were nearly impossible to close/open, the bathroom cabinet doors didn't shut, the shower in the master dripped 24/7 and kept us awake at night, the ceiling fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. BUGS: There were ants EVERYWHERE. Dishes we pulled out from the cabinets had to be washed before we could use them because of the ants. There were geckos all through the house and they left poop all over the walls. There were spiders and webs all through the house. POOL: I have never booked a home with a pool before, but the posting has a pool in the listing, so I sadly assumed it would be usable. The pool was freezing. There is NOTHING in the listing that says we have to request the pool be heated, or that there would be an extra charge to heat it. When I called VRBO they said it's a Vacasa issue, I called Vacasa and they said it's a VRBO issue. Nobody would take responsibility or try to make it right. We couldn't even pay for it to be heated so we could use it. Why would I book a house with a pool that is not usable? The 'path' to the pool area is over-grown with plants and trees and extremely dangerous to get to. Overall - this home was the biggest waste of money and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This is a great location near beaches for a large family group. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities for cooking. The pool is a great option for hanging out at the house. The 4 rooms housed our party of 8 perfectly.

The house backs up to this huge private forest which is more like a botanical garden. The property is surrounded by so many tropical flowers/ plants it was so fun for us to just walk around the back yard discovering things. The view from the kitchen and master bedroom are spectacular and there are sooo many waterfalls on the tallest mountain I loss count after 10. You can see least 7 mountains including hanelei bay and the famous Bali hai Mnt we learned from our kayak guide. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect for staying home and cooking. Then there is private pool and spa was like being in a resort expect surrounded by the gardens. It was really much better than staying a resort as you get the feel of local life in Hawaii.

You can see least 7 mountains including hanelei bay and the famous Bali hai Mnt we learned from our kayak guide. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect for staying home and cooking. We enjoyed having a pool for lazy afternoons post beach. There is an avocado tree in the lush backyard, beautiful birds that visit on the patio, and overall a very tropical feel on the property. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, close to the market, and walking distance to a few places for dinner. Easy drive to Hanalei, but be sure to look at the road closure schedule! Our only suggestion to enhance the stay would be adding more patio/pool furniture. The pictures show a table at the pool for dinner, but that wasn't there (we ended up hauling food down and eating on the floor). There are two small patios, one off the master bedroom, overlooking the pool, and one outside another bedroom. Neither had even a chair to sit in and enjoy the space. FYI-The pool is accessed from downstairs only and isn't visible from the upper patio you relax at. So if you have little children, be prepared. We found this place to be quite a bit more expensive than a few others in the neighborhood (we booked last minute and had to bite the bullet) but I'm guessing you are paying for the view. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay in Princeville!
