The hotel is beautiful and the staff and owners are friendly and helpful. Excellent generous breakfast with lots of options including the traditional Dominican mangu breakfast. Special call out to Luiz for being great. Thank you for making us feel extra welcome.
The mattress was very comfortable but the bed frame was quite creaky

Location is good, all the place is so comfortable and pretty

Very clean. Excellent breakfast everyday. Throughout the day you could order drinks or smoothies. It is very close to many excellent restaurants. The staff, Louis-specifically, was very helpful in coordinating a taxi driver to take us different places in the city. It is also a very peaceful and tranquil place. Loved the massages and the price. The therapist are both very skilled. Housekeeping changes your sheets every day and clean your rooms daily. They pay attention to when you leave your room and come in right away and clean up. Loved that you could rent a. ATV to get around!
There is not a gym to do a little workout. That was a little disappointing. We did swim and did workouts in our room and walked around the city but it would have been a nice to have. Also it would have been nice to have lunch and/or dinner options at Tukuma as well— maybe light meals—-so you’re not having to go out every day. Also to have an extra towel set in the room for each person occupying the room.

beautiful place to stay, love walking out of my room into the pool/river that goes past the room. Enjoyed just sitting with my feet in the water and reading. Breakfast was tasty and good size. Small and cosy place only 4 other rooms so quite intimate. Nice staff, friendly and helpful.
Bathroom was clean and simple, but a bit dark, better lighting would help
4.7
Perfect location close to the center but far enough to be in a silent area.

The breakfast was excellent. Abundant
The shower could have better pressure.

- big room and comfortable bed
- good shower, good water pressure and always access to hot water
- beautiful hotel - boho style
- great location - nicely tucked away but close to beach
- lots of storage in the room
- parking space for car
- high speed internet
- great benefit was having Netflix with villa hosting account. great for rainy days
- REALLY loud fridge which was quite disruptive at night
- loud squeaking bathroom door so we woke each other up every time going to the toilet in the night
- staff could have been friendlier
- breakfast options could have been better

WiFi coverage and water pressure in shower were not good

The design and landscaping of the hotel is beautiful. I love that there are only a few rooms, and that the hotel is quiet and peaceful.
A week before my trip I was contacted through Booking.com by a hotel employee asking me to pay a deposit using a Venmo-like outside link. When I questioned this, he said it was to ensure the reservation during high season. I emailed the hotel via their website and had a friend in DR call the hotel. The same employee answered both, saying that yes, I needed to pay a deposit using a Venmo-like link. However, this is not the policy on the Booking.com listing and the hotel already had my credit card information.
I alerted Booking.com, which then sent an email stating that the hotel must honor its policy. The employee said he did not receive the email from Booking.com. I refused to pay the deposit to the outside link.
No mention of any of this was made when we arrived and paid the correct amount using a credit card. I want to alert other travelers of this type of incident so it doesn't happen to anyone else. It did create stress for me about our stay.

Staff was great. The outside facilities were nice. The pool was nice as well.
There were a couple of problems. Plumbing a bit backed up, everytime we would flush toilet some water would come up to sink. Wifi didnt reach room so there was no point of having a tv in the room anyways. Lack of variety in bar and in menu. No restaurant is a big one. Could use at least a little tapas bar and more variety with drinks. Entrance to hotel is a bit tough to find and a bit shady with not much good lighting in the night. Bathroom needs much better lighting and bathtub area needs major updating. Handle was rusted and bathtub style very outdated.

Super cool boutique hotel with a lovely pool that runs alongs the rooms and great communal areas. Really well designed hotel with an excellent location just set back from the front in Las Terrenas. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Delicious cocktails available until 8pm at the bar.
Many mosquitos in the room / area (although the hotel did fumigate once while we were there). Rainfall shower not working and bed not particularly comfy. Poor advice given on a very disappointing excursion.
