Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and cottage! Great location with being 5 mins from Big Boulder Ski Resort! Beautiful view with being on the lake. Jason was an excellent host and very efficient with responding.

We loved our stay. Jason is a wonderful host who promptly answered every question and tended to an issue right away. The property is full of character and has been restored beautifully while maintaining its charm. The walk to the lake is a steep hike, but totally worth it (and we got some exercise!). We hope to rent it again! The 4 stars for accuracy of listing is only because we thought the living area and kitchen in the cabin would be bigger based on photos. But there was still plenty of room for our family of 10 to gather inside and on the large outside deck. Just a beautiful spot to recharge and enjoy extended family time.

The property was beautiful with well kept landscaping, generous amounts of furniture/seating, and 4 docks to the lake. Barley noticed the neighbors as the house is far from others due to the size of the property (compared to some of the other houses on the lake). Kayaked and paddle board were used daily and we enjoyed watching people ski and tube on the lake. Between two docks is a small area to walk into the lake (vs going down ladder off a dock), which made it easily accessible for the kids. It wasn’t sand, more smaller pebbles/rocks so we wore water shoes. There was plenty of room to get away and enjoy some quiet time, and also spaces to gather and spend time with one another. The property is large and elevated, so requires some walking and rock stairs to climb. We ate every meal on the outdoor deck which was covered and seated 8 at the table, and one evening watched the rain on the lake from that deck. We grilled outside and also made dinner in the oven. Nice breeze and cool in the evenings. AC worked great and was quiet, beds were comfortable and kitchen was so easy to cook in; we’ll stocked with all cookware. The property has life vests (even the size for our 2 yr old) so no need to pack next time! We were a party of 8 and had plenty of room, even in the living room - two couches and two benches next to the fireplace, right off the dinning room. Great layout and easy to talk with people sitting at the dinning room table eating ice cream from the ice cream store just a mile down the road. Had an amazing time and we will be back!

The cabin was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much and would absolutely stay again. Location is probably amazing in the summer

Jason had a wonderful property that was perfect for our needs. Everything was very clean and well stocked for our long weekend with the family. The views were stunning. We look forward to renting this unique property in the future.

We had a blast at the Cabernet cabin and cottage. Extremely clean and comfortable place with all the little extras needed to make a great vacation. Cozy fireplace and wonderful outdoor lake front views. Huge property to enjoy for the kids!

Lake views are stunning and property feels secluded. The “smart” features of the home, premium television channels and beautiful upgrades were icing on the cake. We would definitely return again.
