Simple, well equipped rental. Very comfortable. Place is very nice but not overkill. Family room very comfortable. HVAC was great. Fairly private. Host was tremendous.. Actually called in ESPN for me to watch US Open.👍 Birthday treats for my wife

My family and I take a beach vacation every summer and this was by far the best one yet. The home was absolutely lovely and very clean. It truly exceeded our expectations - FULLY stocked with necessities, smelled very clean, perfect backyard oasis and in great location. Lastly, Jay and Carrie were the best hosts I have encountered to date. They continued to check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and were so kind. We failed to reserve a golf cart in advance and Carrie referred us to a local company/contact and we had one that afternoon. Their level of hospitality was exceptional and we will definitely be back. Book now - you won't be disappointed!

This has been the best place we have ever rented. Carrie and Jay go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need!!! From the abundance of goodies they gifted us, to all of the extras that you do not need to pack. They thought of everything!!! All you need is your clothes and food and you are all set!!! We are so grateful for this tropical paradise and did not want to leave!! We caught pin fish at the dock and made a fish dip with it. Delicious!! The pool is fantastic. The owners have a golf cart you can directly rent from them to make it easier. All in all a fantastic vacation! We will be back!!! Thank you again!!

Paradise cottage has been hands down the best vacation rental we have stayed in to date. Well stocked and lots of little welcoming touches for guests. Location of palm island was amazing. Quiet and relaxed, beautiful, no crowd beaches. Highly recommend renting a golf cart as well because walking in the heat would have made things more difficult but with the cart we had access to any of the beach entrances quickly and efficiently. Husband very much enjoyed the bed- he usually has trouble sleeping when away from home but the bed was top quality and very comfortable. Looking forward to a return stay!

This place was amazing. The only frustrating part was no pantry room. We were there for 7 days and had to store dry goods in bedroom near dining area. Otherwise perfect.

We just returned from a 12 day stay at this wonderful property. The home was spotless when we arrived and so nicely decorated. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. This rental was the best stocked place we have ever stayed. We spent hours in the pool and at the beach. We rarely saw more than 6 people during the week on the beach nearest the house. Jay and Carrie responded quickly to all our questions and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Wi-fi was strong and we never had a problem with our cell phones. The only Palm Island advice I would give is that the ferry was very busy leaving the island on a Saturday morning around 10:00. We waited over 30 minutes to get onboard, so plan accordingly. The home and the island was a chance to slow down, relax and spend quality time with our family. Thank you Carrie and Jay for opening your home to us.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoying. We were looking for a place that was very quiet, far away from the city noise, and the Paradise Cottage on the beautiful Palm Island was ideal! The home was just right for our family and my sister who visited us from Europe. The property description was very accurate and I am glad I took time to read all details. This allow me to travel light and not pack things that I did not need. Over all best vacation ever!

Carrie and Jay’s “paradise cottage” lived up to its name. In fact, Palm island in general was a perfect destination for our family. Beauty in abundance, nature abounds. Pristine beaches. Dolphins. Endearing gopher tortoises. The cottage amenities are first rate. Lovely pool sanctuary. And, most importantly Carrie and Jay are the most gracious hosts. We felt spoiled each and every day. Paradise Cottage far exceeded my expectations! Hosts Carrie and Jay were extremely gracious and accommodating. Our stay could not have been more perfect! Walking the beach and collecting sand dollars and shark teeth in the morning and relaxing by the pool in the amazing backyard in the afternoon was such a wonderful retreat! Thank you Carrie and Jay!

We stayed over the Christmas and New Year holidays with 4 adults (two couples) and our small dogs. The island and house are perfect for a quiet holiday. The ferry keeps the masses away, and the beautiful garden and pool area for the house is very quiet and private. I think a "busy" day on the beach had maybe 30 people spread out over several miles. I really enjoyed long morning walks and shell collecting. The island is great for shelling! I found a very large horse conch my first day and collected a nice variety of other shells, including a beautiful pink murex, and a banded tulip, both of which were new for me, and also lots of sand dollars and fighting conch shells. Everything was in order and the hosts are particularly friendly and easy to work with. They are happy to answer questions not just about the house but also about the island and things to do etc. Cable went out due to a storm and they were very helpful in checking with the cable company about it being out and checking in with us during the storm. We used the pool quite a bit and it was nicely heated. Put the cover on at night for maximum heating. A large pontoon boat ties up to the dock just fine. We had room for both SUV's and two golf carts. Furniture is comfortable, and the house has tons of towels and toiletries. No real need to bring anything. We bought a ferry pass and ate out a fair amount. Highly recommend Farlow's on Water in Englewood and South Beach Grill on Boca Grande. Also, if you have a boat, a trip to Cabbage Key for lunch is a lot of fun. We also went hiking on Costa Cayo (boat accessible). One couple did a lot of area biking and took their tandem bike over to the mainland on the ferry several times. I am seriously in love with the island, and overall this is a charming little house in a great location and with great hosts. Highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed everything this charming home has to offer-fishing off the dock, swimming in the pool, kayaks on the waterway and best of all, a short journey to beautiful, pristine beaches. Jay and Carrie were wonderful hosts and very responsive to any need. Thank you for sharing your home!

This time at your home was exactly what we needed! The house was in a great location, and we’re so glad we rented a golf cart from PalmIslandGolfCart.com! It was a fantastic way to get around…to the beach, Rum Bay, and just for fun exploring the island. The heated pool was amazing, the grill was great and the backyard is just as relaxing as it looks in the pictures. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were really comfortable. The hosts were very open and communicative. The only thing to clarify is that the Publix is not in the island—do all your grocery shopping before you take the ferry over!

My family and I were fortunate enough to spend our recent vacation in Paradise Cottage on Palm Island. The cottage and grounds are even more beautiful than in the pictures. My grandson enjoyed fishing from the pier and we all enjoyed the private pool as well as the gorgeous beach which is only a short walk from the cottage. Carrie and Jay are wonderful hosts and ensured our stay was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the very thoughtful welcome basket with snacks and a bottle of champagne. I hope to visit again and highly recommend staying there if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.

Property was amazing, absolute relaxation and serenity. Hosts Carrie and Jay were wonderful! House was stocked with everything we needed and more. So many nice touches from all of the fancy toiletries in each bathroom to the basket of beach towels. Ferry ride was all of 2 minutes, quick and painless. Would love to return in the future!

Celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and Paradise Cottage was the perfect choice and truly amazing! It had everything we needed and more. The relaxation and seclusion we experienced was exactly what we had hoped for. The hosts Carrie & Jay truly cared that all our needs were met - they were so gracious. The house was wonderful and so well supplied! We had a wonderful time just floating in the pool and finding a quiet space to read. And Carrie and Jay were so responsive and thoughtful!

I visited with my children and two grandchildren. The property was as listed and the home was well stocked with everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. Was a great time . Property and house looked just like pictures. Very private pool area and the kids loved taking the golf cart just down the street to a very private beach. Fun was had by all! We hope to go back again. The hosts were very nice and very accommodating .
