Sorry we did nt eat there at all but what we saw of the food looked lovely.breakfast to expensive.the extras were priced to high.we thought it should come in with room price .

Thought food .was expensive.did nt get the room we thought we going get .local resident came had a go at us as soon as we parked .saying its not good for locals .car got scratched some how .would nt recommend parking outside on road .we did nt go any where cos wouldn't have got a space when we come back ..the hotel itself is lovely the staff are lovely .we arrived 11.30 was told room was being cleaned.told to come back 1 o clock . trouble is booked room on line booking .com .they sent a picture of room we thought we were getting and this the reason we booked it cos of the room we liked .but when we got back the lady told us she d let it go 10 minutes before .they up graded us to bigger room which was nt the dercore we like d looked older .things did nt match .we very disappointed 😞 .so that sort put a damper on things really .they kindly said we could have it the next night. But we have had to move on our stuff .and we did nt want hang around till they had cleaned we only there for two nights .give this they were lovely staff very helpful lovely place .but if you go to this hotel you may be faced with angry residents who do not like you parking in that road .they don t have any parking as such only about 3 spaces which I believe you may be able to reserve now .

The room was lovely, the breakfast was good quality.

The kettle lead was not long enough to sit on the table, we had to place it on the floor, not very good.

Location to everything, comfort, great twin room and lovely breakfast.

there is work going on there but it doesn’t interfere with the hotel guests. The property has many original features and for us was very comfortable

The only comment we would make was we found the pillows a little hard for our liking. But that’s just nitpicking.

Our room was absolutely beautiful and the dining room area was lovely too. Good breakfast and all staff we came across were lovely. It’s a good location for the seafront without being on one of the horrible main roads through southsea.

The on road parking situation is annoying. Parking was very limited so we had to walk quite a way with lots of bags and a small child in tow. We were then in a separate building which wasn’t a problem as it didn’t rain but wouldn’t have been ideal if the weather hadn’t been on side. There was quite a sense of works being done on the hotel and in the area so overall I feel it was an expensive stay.

Although we feel this accommodation is slightly overpriced for what you get in the way of size of room, lack of fridge for milk or water and the properties are older buildings, they have been refurbished to a high standard and the staff are always excellent.

Parking is always a problem but you just need to be patient!

Reception staff were very efficient, polite and helpful. Room was stylish and lovely and clean. Bathroom was modern and fully functional. It appears a well run and quiet hotel.

I was surprised to find that the hotel is spread over two buildings separated by a road. The receptionist was great in that she waited outside of reception, for my return from extracting my luggage from my car, but then started to walk down the road and round the corner to the other building. I wondered where on earth we were going as I did not recall this in the information at the time of booking. However, as we had not booked breakfast, it really did not matter to us and the room we were allocated met our needs perfectly.

Perfect location and price for my birthday weekend away! Staff were so helpful and parking was made super easy with a temporary permit for most of the areas nearby! The room was comfy and cosy and we both slept really well. Breakfast was stunning! Definitely would stay again ☺️
