What a perfect place for a family gathering !.. this home was very clean, welcoming, comfortable for our family . Good mattresses made for a great night of sleep, and the home owner was great to communicate with when we had any questions. …. Just a reminder, remember to bring sheets, towels, toilet paper , dish soap.. … kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. Great parking and only 5 minute walk to beach ( or less) I’ll definitely rent this place at OIB again!

We visit OIB annually and have stayed at this home for many years it will always be our first choice. The home has all of the amenities you will need and the owners are wonderful to work with.

Nicely renovated beach house with great canal access for boating. Large bedrooms, comfortable beds, great screened porch & patio furniture overlooking the canal.

This house was perfect for our extended stay. We used the canal to kayak and watch the wild life go by. It was a short walk to the beach, museum and ice cream. It was nicely decorated and very comfortable. We would consider it again next year.

Excellent property, well maintained and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay including beach essentials. The beach is a short walk away and the owner provided umbrella, chairs, toys and games for the kids to use in the sand. Highly recommended for a family vacation to OIB.

This was the perfect house for us over Spring Break! My three boys (4, 8, 11) loved the dock for fishing. We brought our own rods, but the house has a good supply. The kayaks were a family favorite. The walk to the beach is super quick and easy, even for a 4 year old. The house was spotless and a perfect location, close to restaurants, mini golf, and the bait shop. The screened porch was my favorite- the perfect spot for drinking my morning coffee, reading a book, and taking a nap. We’d go back tomorrow if we could!

We love vacationing in Ocean Isle! We decided on a very last minute (week of) booking at Courtenay's home and things could not have gone smoother had we planned months in advance. The communication from Courtenay regarding anything and everything we would need was amazing . The house is very well laid out, we never felt cramped and most importantly very clean!!! The canal is a bonus, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy boating or kayaking! The beach was super close and access very easy to get to. The only negative is our trip was too short as we had to leave a few days early due to a family emergency but Courtenay was wonderful in helping us make the check-out process smooth and get our linens returned to the rental company. I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to enjoy another visit soon!

Perfect little spot for our family

We stayed here for the first time and were thrilled with the property. Owner was exceptional and very responsive. Unfortunately, the washer died on our first full day due to age and no one’s fault. However, The owner had it replaced in a day and we hardly skipped a beat! We were there with one set of grandparents and our two sons 3.5 and 7. Perfect amount of space. The screened porch and dock are gorgeous and were our favorite hangout spots, and the location can’t be beat. We will be staying here again without a doubt!

I can't say enough about this property. First impression was how beautifully decorated and, more importantly, clean the house was. The layout was fantastic, the kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable. The screened in porch was so nice to relax in. The dock was a favorite spot of my children. Courtney was so responsive and easy to work with. We absolutely loved our time at their beautiful home. It is apparent how much the owner's love their home and how much they strive to make your vacation wonderful. Would most definitely rent again!!!

My family and I have been visiting OIB for the last 4 years. This was definitely the best visit we have had to date. The accommodations are a huge part of making it such a great week. Owner Courtenay was very responsive. The home was immaculate. Probably one of the cleanest VRBO’s I have ever stayed in. Comfortable beds, bedrooms were very spacious. Large bathrooms. Plenty of space to congregate as a family In the living room which also has a great game table. The loft is adorable with two twin beds. Kitchen was fully stocked making it easy to prepare meals for the family. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks. Watching my daughter spend a lot of time sitting on the dock relaxing and reading during mornings and evenings warmed my heart. Super close to the public beach access. One street away from Scotland street which is where our friends live made this the most perfect location for us. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay. We will definitely be booking for next Summer. Only suggestion would be to add a TV to the master bedroom. All other bedrooms including the loft have a television. Thank you Courtenay for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We didn’t want to leave! Be back next year!

The house was great for exactly what we were looking for. We stayed with my sister’s family of 5 and my family of 3 and the way the house was setup worked out very well for that number of people. The house was very clean and the renovation was done very well while keeping a beach feel to the house.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It felt like home as soon as we walked through the door! The house was clean and well stocked. We loved being on the waterway with the beach a very short walk away. The screen porch was a favorite spot as well as the double porch swings!

We had the most pleasant and enjoyable experience at this island home. The home was handicap accessible for my elderly grandfather and still accommodating to my 6 year old! Lots of time spent on the back screened in porch, and fishing off from the dock! Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to have a large family vacation.

The pictures and description of the property were spot on! The house had been recently renovated and was perfect for our needs. The screened in porch in the back was great to sit and watch the water. The dock was great to sit on and catch the breeze. The owner was quick to respond when there was a little mix-up with the keys, and it was quickly addressed. I would highly recommend and would consider staying here again.

We made a last minute decision to join some neighbors in OIB for Memorial Day week and luckily this house popped up on a search 2 weeks before our trip! It was a great location almost perfectly between our friends' houses and had more than enough space for our family of 3 - even with two parents working remotely with a toddler inside on one rainy day. In fact, we commented that we could have invited another family to stay with us. We didn't cook at all, since we either were eating out, ordering in or with friends, but the kitchen was one of the most stocked rentals I've ever seen and the hosts left the sweetest little gift bag with some treats and a couple of housekeeping items. Thanks so much again Smith Family for sharing your house with us - we'll be back!

My daughter will be graduating from college next month along with her brother who will be graduating high-school and he starts college in the fall ,so this might be the last vacation with my kids as kids and it was a perfect ending vacation .The house was beautifully remodeled and the porch was perfect plus the swings and the dock were wonderful also, so we are definitely going back , hopefully this summer.I highly recommend this Vrbo and too be honest I have only left 4 reviews in my life so this was home was really special and I wanted to share my gratitude , also while on vacation the owners reached out to check on us and and this evening when we returned home . They were very kind to me and that made it even more welcoming and enjoyable
