Receptionist was nice

Room was filthy - hair everywhere, scum in the bath. I have taken photos and submitted them to their customer service team and 2 months ago was put under investigation by Wayne Watson in the role of Operations Manager. After a couple of emails back and forth I have heard nothing further after multiple attempts of contact. Would avoid this hotel at all costs!

I stayed here a few months ago and rated lower, however this stay was much better. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service from the staff is quick, pleasant and welcoming. The room is large and comfortable. Large carpark makes for easy and free parking. The pub/ restaurant next to the hotel is also pleasant. Easy access to local town. I will stay here again.

Personally, I'd prefer a walk in shower as opposed to a bath.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of space in the room and no noise from other rooms or outside. There is a restaurant opposite so not far to walk for food and refreshments when finished for the day.

I was a bit dissatisfied that when i got to reception i was informed that the breakfast was a hot sandwich only which wasn't stated on the booking. The hot sandwich was nice and well prepped by all accounts but should be stated on the booking before you book as i do enjoy a breakfast to get me going in the morning.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean Very comfortable bed. Great facilities.

The breakfast wasn't great. We asked for sausage cobs but there was only one left so hubby had bacon. Bread was hard. Best bit about breakfast was the coffee machine and pastries.

Spacious room and plenty of room to set up the travel crib for our baby. Staff very friendly on arrival. For some reason the booking only showed one night instead of 2. The staff on reception quickly sorted everything.

The heating didn't work in the room so had to use portable radiators when some were found as the room was cold.

Room was clean and spacious and there was nothing more to like about the room.

It was cold, Room Thermostat did not make any difference - Don't think it was even working, put it up to 30 degree and the room was still cold. The secondary heating system, which was a convector heater, the fuse was pulled off and was not working. It was a bitterly cold night and then not having warm enough room, made the sleeping experience terrible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was work trip and it did affect my work efficiency in the morning.

First room bed not made and dirty mug's second room very noisy and far too hot could not have window open due to road noise from motorway, a breakfast in a bag is not for us would never stay here again

The beds were the comfiest we’ve had in a hotel for a while! We came for an event on the Saturday night then rebooked last minute for Sunday night. Both rooms were exactly the same. Very clean with everything you need for a short stay. Plenty of coffee/sugar left in the room with more facilities downstairs in reception. Free parking was also a bonus! We spoke to a couple of members of staff over our stay, who were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be rebooking :)

I thought the value for money was amazing. Rooms were very spacious for a family. Shower was brilliant. Breakfast was much better than I expected from the description. Staff were extremely helpful. Great pub next door and a Toby Carvery a short walk. Perfect for what we needed.

The evening and morning receptionists were wonderful. So helpful and very kind. I was surprised that even though we were next to a motorway that I didn't hear a thing and slept very well. Excellent soundproofing! The views from just up the road were breathtaking.

Very friendly and helpful lady on reception on arrival in the early evening and friendly efficient guy in the morning doing the breakfast. This was a simple affair of cereal, fruit and pastries but it was help yourself and worked very well, but you will probably end up taking it back to your room. Excellent pub literally yards away from main entrance which served really good food at a reasonable price.
