Quick beach access and heated pool

The condo was great and clean. The photos inside are accurate with even an unexpected view of the ocean given what i knew of the area and complex. No surprises and the kitchen was super stocked. Would highly recommend, thank you!

We loved our little place. Clean, affordable, lots to go in the area. The beach was gorgeous. We could not be more satisfied.

Fantastic location and just what we were looking for. It comfortably sleeps 6. The condo is right on the beach with easy access to the pool as well. Although the property seemed older than I thought it would be, we were very comfortable and pleased with our stay. Would definitely rent again.

Very nice place and great location. On the beach and within walking distance to some great restaurants. Definitely on our list of places to stay again.

We had a view of the ocean from the balcony. There was an umbrella to use on the patio in the evening to enjoy the views. Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed to cook a hearty breakfast. We walked to restaurants in the evening for dinner. They had beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella for your use. We met the head housekeeper for the property and enjoyed speaking with her. Thanks to the owners for letting us stay!

We live in NC and have lovely beaches, but they are so different from the Gulf Coast! The water in the gulf is great for water sports, non-swimmers, and just relaxing. Truly a wonderful experience!

Let me start by saying that most people would not spend a lot of time inside at the beach. However a hurricane had other plans for us. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. Perfect location for beach fun. Only issues we had were the living room furniture was uncomfortable. The floors were dirty. We are not inside shoe folks but had to wear them all the time because our feet would be black if not. Overall we loved our stay and would do it again.

There were only 2 things about the condo that we would change, the living room furniture is not comfortable and is hard for people with knee problems to get up and down from. The other is the tile floors, our socks were not white after walking on them. The floors could definitely use a deep, thorough mopping. Other than that, the place was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and the back deck was enjoyable in the mornings. Nice quiet area. We would stay again.

We had a great stay. The laundry on the site is not ideal as several people left their laundry in the machines for long periods of time. But, the heated pool and short walk to the beach was great! You may want to bring a beach chair as the condo has lawn chairs. We would return, it was wonderful!

The weather was perfect and the property manager was very responsive. The beach is beautiful and sunsets something to remember.

Place was clean and had all accessories you would need. My only issue was bed in master bedroom was extremely soft but that’s a personal preference that some may like. Living room furniture could be updated but it was all clean and in good working order.

We had a great stay! The property is steps from the beach, fully stocked with towels, beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The owner is very responsive with any questions or concerns.

Accomodations were great. Steps from beach & pool. Good restaurants within walking distance. Fun shopping in areas of Both Englewood or Venice.

Great stay. Great staff. This place was very clean. The staff was very attentive. There would be one thing I would change. The deck needs some type of awning. Early morning dew and if it rains everything’s soaked.

This condo is in a great location for beach access and shark tooth hunting. While it is t the back of the complex it is a very short walk to get to the beach. Beach area is wide and not too crowded. The laundry room is very close by and free, so not having washer & dryer in unit wasn’t a big deal. Nice big deck that overlooks the pool.

It was a nice unit. Could use new living room furniture but otherwise it had everything we needed!

Had a great vacation on Manasota Key ! The property was clean and neat and decorated beautifully, I had no issues with anything I would stay there again and again ! The owner communicated with me at all times with any questions answered almost immediately. Also met the cleaning lady Debbie she was a sweetheart! I really don’t have anything bad to say about any aspect of this vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone. Even the weather was perfect!

Fabulous unit, with close proximity to restaurants and the beach out your door!!! Clean and comfortable we will definitely be back!

A little outdated, conflicting rules on various notes either in the room or handed to you & in need of a little more general cleaning as we had dirty sheets on one bed. The housekeeper came by the next day and apologized, saying the little sign that sits on the bed, that says don't place your luggage on the bed, was on the bed & bed was made so she didn't know it had been used. A few other things were mentioned to her but she said they don't do a deep clean every time between travelers but I don't think wiping off and emptying the toaster, or wiping lower stove drawer, or light switches are "deep cleaning". That should all be general cleaning and done every time between renters. Things went well until checkout, where we had asked for someone to do a walkthrough with us but was informed that's not how they do it. So a few hours later we receive a phone call falsely accusing of damaging a tv. Thankfully, from day one of this experience, when I received a separate contract from the homeowner only 3 days prior to our travel, requesting credit card info directly or we would not be allowed on the premises, there have been red flags. So another traveler in our party took 50+ photos of the condo after we were packed up, showing no damage on the tv's. I believe the housekeeper was retaliating for a poor rating on her sheet she left in the condo, as their photo of the tv didn't even look like the tv that was in the room they claimed. But if we HAD damaged it we would have paid for it. Notes throughout the condo of do's and don't, quartz kitchen countertop so do not set glasses on it as they may sweat and leave a stain, do not turn the thermostat below 75 degrees or if it freezes up you will be charged, however, the housekeeper had the thermostat set at 70 when we arrived, and when the office manager was informed, she stated that "she" gets hot. I'm guessing the housekeeper. The housekeeper had offered to refund the cleaning fee but I was only given our deposit back, and not the cleaning fee. And if you cannot see everything there is to see on the homeowner's page, regarding additional agreement or contract, please contact VRBO, as this is not allowed so we shouldn't have gotten a contract to sign 3 days prior to our arrival date. I'm sorry this went south as it was supposed to be a birthday celebration but as a traveler who was falsely accused and then not a word said after we sent our pictures, I hope you will thoroughly check out your next rental.

My 2 friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 22D at The Castaways in Englewood Beach. The condo was very comfortable. There was a slight problem with the TV (apparently a previous guest hit too many buttons and we weren’t connected). The property manager called the cleaning person (Debbie) who came to the condo within a short time and corrected the problem. In addition, Debbie was very informative and helpful (and a delightful person)!

Beautiful location. Bathrooms are small but clean. Location for beach and food great. Steps were a killer but for me the more exercise the better. Lol pool was very clean! Lots of beach toys and chairs abAilble

My husband, three children and I spent Christmas 2018 in this lovely condo on Manasota Key. This was our first time to Manasota Key and we loved it. We loved walking on the beach every morning and evening and being able to just pick up our bags and walk a few steps to set ourselves up for an afternoon of sand castles, swimming and beach time fun. The property manager, Debbie, was wonderful and super friendly, as was the owner. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities for cooking and dining in.There are also numerous restaurants and shops nearby, as well as Venice beach just 20 minutes up the highway. There were two things that changed this from a 5 star to a 4 star review. When staying at the beach with my family, a washer and dryer is a must since sand always comes home from the beach with us. The description made it appear that the washer and dryer was located inside this unit. However, they were located in a centrally located building that was shared with the entire complex. I prefer to have them located inside my unit so as to avoid back and forth trips in the dark. Happily, our hosts provided laundry detergent and we were able to use the washer and dryer free of charge. The second issue was the kitchen countertops. They are a lovely light blue quartz that gives a nice beach feeling to the unit. However, you cannot place anything on them for fear of damaging them and being charged several hundred dollars for repair. I ended up covering the entire countertop space with cutting boards and towels for the duration of our stay. It would have been nicer to have usable countertops in the kitchen. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will likely book again next year.

Absolutely loved the beachy decor, fabulous location, views of the water, walk to beach or pool in seconds! The Sand Bar which is walking distance away, has great food and live music 7 days a week!! A perfect getaway and much needed after working the whole month of October without a day off! I'm rejuvenated and can't wait to return here!
