They want you to return! The food is great the service excellent, the beds and washroom facilities are good!
They have a good man working the bar with a good food and beverage trade!

The room (No. 9 Twin beds) was level entry from the street- the door from the street opens to a small hallway which serves two rooms 8 and 9. The beds were comfortable, thanks to a thick mattress topper on each. Everything was clean and fresh. The village is quiet so although there was the pavement and road directly outside our window at ground level, we were not bothered by noise. We originally parked in the car park at the back, but once we checked in, we found we could move the car and park off the road on the forecourt outside, really close to the room. The evening meal was inexpensive and well cooked, so perfectly fine. Breakfast, we opted for a cooked breakfast and this was good and included in the room price we paid. The staff we met were lovely, friendly and helpful. The bar /restaurant had a friendly vibe and we felt at ease.
Room 9 is long but relatively narrow so it was a bit tricky to walk around the end of each bed- there was only about 50cm from bedpost to wall/window. However I don't think the beds could have easily been placed in any other configuration in the room as this is a very old and quirky character building. I supppose the most difficult aspect were the 2 steep steps within the ensuite shower room to get to the loo and shower cubicle. Husband and I have slight mobility problems and ideally we each needed a grab rail to help negotiate these 2 steps, we were both tempted to lean on the wash basin for support (not a safe idea so didn't do this!). This very small wash basin in the ensuite is really only large enough for hand washing and didn't have a plug.

Staff were fantastic.. Food was excellent.. Drinks were much cheaper than I am used to.. locals were welcoming and kept me amused for two evenings..
Excellent value for money..
Only thing was my room didn't have on suite but for £ 40 per night including breakfast I could live without the on suite.

The room was upgraded for my mum and I as we had booked a double to try and save on cost. The owners were so nice, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. Room replenished with coffee etc daily. We were using it as a base whilst sorting my late aunts house, only 2 miles away, so location was excellent
The shower wasn't brilliant, maybe could be updated

Warm welcome and great atmosphere. Landlord very helpful. Room clean and well arranged.
All good.

Staff pleasant and breakfast acceptable. Limited dinner menu, and then obvious microwaved meals.
Access to rooms through raised doorway in main bar area, steep staircase with no bannister rail. Cramped room, could touch walls at either side from the bed. Tea and coffee making facilities at floor level. Totally unsuitable as a double room, may with some radical thinking be okay as a single.

Stayed here twice in the space of a few weeks and can't be more complimentary. Excellent value for money with a good pub and good food.
Staff were very friendly on both stays, bed was comfortable and had a good night's sleep.
Off road parking is a great bonus, although the area is so quiet that it's no even needed.
Breakfast was very good and a nice start to the day.

I liked the food the hospitality, I found the staff very friendly and nice to talk too, I loved the location as well, I never heard of the village of drayton parslow prior to stopping there, would I stop there again yes I would although I slept in a very comfortable single bed I prefer double beds lol
The shower cubicle was too small and situated up two steep tiled steps that I was worried about slipping, but I am a very large bloke at 6ft weighing just over 300lbs, but it hasn't put me off stopping there again? I did enquire about ground floor rooms for maybe next year.

Used this very friendly pub with character for a midweek visit to Bletchley Park, ideally situated.
Room clean, bedding, shower etc, met with our needs and welcome for our dog. The beers/food/ breakfast was really good, all was home cooked.
All our needs were met, can't fault our stay at this pub, was to our liking.

It was a bit noisy, I think our room was above the main pub area.
