Our stay was amazing from the moment we stepped in the property until we left. John was our house manager and was incredible. He was so accommodating and went above and beyond for our group of 18. Joe, our cook, made a delish breakfast and dinner for us. He was very personable and the cake he made for my husbands birthday, amazing!! The property is absolutely stunning from sunrise to sundown!

The house is in a good location - very close to Keeneland with easy access to distilleries and wineries.There is lots of room and John the caretaker was there every day to clean the pool and help in any way he could. Unfortunately the wi-fi/internet was unreliable most of the time. There were quite a few irritating little things like clocks not working, not enough comfortable chairs, lack of closet space, an elevator that didn't work correctly all the time and a broken ice maker.

I stayed with 12 friends and we had a blast. The house is so close to the airport and Keeneland which made our trip perfect for the event. Amazing sunsets, heated pool, lots of different areas to hang out. The catering packages were absolutely worth it. Chef Corey’s breakfasts were amazing and we had a great dinner for my birthday one night as well. Definitely look into the catering for your group for a great experience and convenience. Only great things to say on our end about the whole thing.

My family greatly enjoyed this chance to gather, cook, eat, share stories, make memories, swim in a heated pool, retreat to our own rooms, walk the estate grounds, pet the horses, relax, repeat. I highly recommend this property.

We rented this property for our annual Ladies weekend and it served our purpose well. There were some small inconveniences, but overall was great for a bunch of ladies who aren't getting younger as the years go by. Having an elevator in the house made moving people and luggage easier. It was easy to get around Lexington. We used their concierge service for a small bourbon trail tour day and it was easy to arrange. Our driver Carla was awesome to qork with and Chef Cody made us some very good food that day. I would highly recommend them if you need to arrange any tours in the area. The pool was lovely, though only the younger, heartier members of our group used it on this chilly January weekend. Jacob, Kayla and Candace were awesome to work with.

Great location and plenty of room for everyone!

Our family stayed here for a week for our family reunion. The house was great! It was hard to tell what the layout of the house was from the listing but it was larger than I would have thought. We had 17 people and it never felt crowded at all. The master bed suite was amazing with a huge closet, washer/dryer, and sauna/shower. We spent a lot of time at the pool and there were a couple of horse farms next door. Our kids loved watching the horses trotting around the track. The staff was amazing at the house. They gave us a tour of the house when we arrived, contacted us through the week to see how things were going and were attentive when we had any issues. We would stay here again!

This is a lovely property and Candace was a great host! The pool is amazing and the property was private and very pretty. Some of the VRBO photos should be updated and we did find evidence here and there of the large young group there before us (chips in chair cushions, cigarette butts around the pool) but honestly these were minor and Candace quickly addressed any issues. We are coming back next summer!!

The house and property were beautiful. The kids loved the pool. The AC went out in the pool house, where two of the bedrooms are located. Management couldn’t see their way clear to get someone out to fix it. My brother discovered that the filter was so clogged with dirt that the unit couldn’t operate. He removed the filter and the AC worked and the funky smell also disappeared. We were also disappointed that the listing suggested that there are 5 king suites with private bathrooms. There are only three. Our contact people were great, but the owner/managers need to invest a little more attention to maintenance and provisioning the main kitchen, utensils and coffee mugs. The caterers that were recommended were terrific.

There were 34 of us ages 0-46. Plenty of room for everyone. Pool size and area was wonderful. Easy and quick communication with the managers.

The Thoroughbred Estate was a great space for our family reunion of 15 people. With multiple generations staying together, there was plenty of room. The outdoor pool and patio were the perfect place to gather and the inside dining table was large enough for all of us. We also took advantage of the concierge service and asked them to coordinate a private bourbon tour for us to visit a few local distilleries. It was nice to be driven to each in their passenger van and we enjoyed a catered lunch and special tour at Buffalo Trace. It was a great experience they pulled together for us! The estate is in a great location, easy to get to and close to a lot. Just be aware it's in the flight path of the nearby airport. The property description was slightly different from the actual room layouts. The local estate managers were very helpful and attentive, answering all of our questions and responding to any issues. The pool was cleaned daily. They provided many supplies for convenience, like paper towels, hand soap, dish liquid, dishwasher and laundry detergent. The check out process was simple, too. Overall, the perfect spot for a comfortable family gathering.

As good as the description and pictures are in the posting, the property is even better in person. Beautiful house in a great location. The owner was excellent. We will look for a reason to come back.

First, I’ll start with the fact that the concierge team, The Farm, was by far the best thing of our rental. Jacob, Angie and Larkin were terrific! Ten stars there! Now, for the property… this listing is out of date from the previous owners. Still a nice place, but a few things were left to be desired. 1) Dusty and could have been vacuumed much better. Lots of space- so I get not everything will be spic and span upon arrival. But, nightstands and lamps had layers of dust. Lots of crumbs in the kitchen and pantry. No signs of mice. 2) Pool chairs: listing says 10 loungers, there was one. We had 15 ppl staying. There were multiple patio chairs and two gravity loungers. 3) Broken things all about (door knob into back porch), lights out in room, main overhead pool lights and lights insode the pool not useable- an extension cord was missing that probably lit them up. Anyone’s guess. 3) Movie room: seating was different from photos and no cable- we had to go out and buy a Roku stick. There was cable in the main family room, no cable in the kids room. The kids room did not have bunk nests, but 4 twins and a full bed. Video games worked in the upstairs family room. There is no piano, but now has a pool table which was fun! 4) The back porches: where the lower and upper fireplaces were in the photos, they are both now all closed in. The upstairs porch was a waste of space with no furniture. The screened in patio of the downstairs master bedroom was closed in and basically a glorified, non-air conditioned closet. 5) Great parking! We were able to park in the garage which was quite clean. 6) Dish and cook wear: old used pot set, lots of baking sheets and no serving dishes or bowls (only ones were cheap plastic). 7) Linen and towels nice, clean and plentiful. It was also nice having two sets of washer dryer, but both dryers lint trays were jammed full of lint. #firehazzard 8) Not pictures but there is now a pool house next to the covered patio, very nice. Also, there is pavement around the whole pool which was nice as well. Also had a propane fire table and a gas grill (not a big green egg as shown in the photos). 9) All in all we would absolutely go back. The Farm team helped with anything we need (delivered snacks and corn hole boards). We had two catered meals and they were DELICIOUS!!

We booked this property for a ministry retreat for adults and teens. It ended up being better than we could have imagined. The pool was great, the space was huge, and the property was beautiful. The owner sent our group cookies, and our students loved them! I highly recommend this property! Thanks again for a great week!

This was the first vacation that I took with my siblings and we had lots of fun. The property was large enough for us to enjoy time together but not feel overcrowded. Property owner was very responsive.

Amazing stay! Owners were nice, did everything to make us feel comfortable. This was a work trip foR us and everyone felt like they were at home. From the house keeping lady to The pool guy. We will be back. Thank you Jacob!

The "Thoroughbred" property served as a perfect short spring break for our family. The property had all the amenities, and more, for spending time with the extended family on-site (lounging areas, pool, entertainment rooms, etc.). The bedrooms and kitchen were well appointed. We enjoyed hanging out in the neighborhood with working horse farms as neighbors. In addition, the property is a very short distance to downtown Lexington and Keeneland Race track, both which we enjoyed. Overall, Jacob and team supported our stay in all dimensions. We look forward to returning in the future.
