We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was even more beautiful in person, and communication was awesome - always prompt and helpful. We really enjoyed the sauna. Just overall had an awesome experience.

Outstanding from check in to check out. The upstairs living area is very large and spacious, so it accommodated my entire extended family. Super clean and has everything you forgot to bring from home. The Property Manager was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Even though we live in Anchorage, it was nice to spend some time together as a family without the stress of holidays. Grandma tried skiing again after 20 years of down time and is thinking about doing it more routinely.

It was the best location to reconnect with friends and enjoy a little R&R. The property manager was so welcoming and made sure we had all we needed to be comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Wow, this home was wonderful. It was by far one of the cleanest properties I have stayed at, despite allowing pets, and everything looked brand new. Cute decor, comfortable, and lots of room! There are A LOT of stairs and three floors, so if you have bad knees it is probably not ideal. The manager was so nice, informative, and easy to get ahold of. You definitely feel like you are in the forest and when on the top floor it almost feels like a treehouse! The kitchen was awesome and had ample dishes and cooking supplies. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be a hot tub!

The rental accommodated 8 family members for my son’s wedding. The family was thrilled and an absolutely superb stay. The home is beautiful and very well maintained. An issue with the smoke alarm which was addressed timely and the ice maker was out of commission upon arrival and too was addressed before we departed from our three day stay. Definitely would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.

We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed, very clean property. Emily was responsive and easy to work with. The location is an easy drive to all of the adventures that Girdwood has to offer.

The house was awesome, the amenities were great. Kitchen well stocked with pots pans and utensils. Not sure if this was in the description but knowing that the house is on three levels would have been nice. Especially if you have someone that is handicapped

We loved our stay at in the hemlocks in Girdwood! Emily was a lovely host and very knowledgeable. Great location with quick access to all local hot spots and attractions. Still was quiet and away from the crowds so you have good privacy. Highest reviews all around!

Property was perfect and by far, the most well equipped home we have rented. Perfect for the week with family and the week with customers. Rooms were spacious, views from the deck and windows were amazing. While the home was fantastic, it was really Emily that made this work and cannot thank or recommend her enough. Amazing!

We had an awesome family stay at this Girdwood property. The location is ideal for both Seward, Anchorage, and some great local trails. The place felt like a tree house with its surrounding trees and the amenities were plenty. The kitchen and pantry were extremely well stocked and the internet was fast, which made work easy. I would not hesitate to return here if I were staying in Girdwood. If there were any feedback I would give the hosts it would be that the bunk beds should preferably be replaced with two twin size beds. The beds creaked a lot and are def not well suited for anyone outside of children under 12.

This house was just perfect for our group of 11. Plenty of space and everything we needed. So many great things to do in the area and a week was not enough time to do it all. Sure hope to be back someday. And Emily was so great to work with!

We loved this house!!we travel a lot and have been in several luxury vacation homes and this one was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped! the house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! the only down side was theres no master suit but the it was comfortable and CLEAN it felt like home !!

This home is beautifully kept, impeccable and one of the best stocked homes I have rented as they really do a great job of making sure their guest have all of the supplies they need while staying there which was so nice. The only issue we had was parking. They ask if the driveway has snow or ice on it to park on the street for safety reasons however walking up the long icy driveway is far more dangerous than parking in the driveway closer to the house. When we got there the trucks were parked by the house to unload but after doing that it made more sense for them to be left there than on the street where the roads were very narrow because of the snow build up and us trying to walk up the ice covered driveway. Unfortunately the owner of the property (property management person was on maternity leave so we had to work directly with the owners during our stay) who has cameras and watches what is going on immediately sent us a message to move our vehicles out of the driveway or the other option was to check out the next day. It was a pretty extreme message to be sent! We tried to explain why we left the vehicles there and she sent another message telling us to move them or check out again! I must say we were all very taken back by this, we are all responsible adults, business owners there for a 10 day virtual conference and we really were not meaning to cause an issue so we asked if they would call us since it is easier to have a conversation than it is to message back and forth, after two request they finally consented to a phone conversation. Mr. Owner was nice enough and we explained we are from Alaska and know how to navigate the snow and ice issues and in the end agreed to allow us to use the driveway for two of our vehicles. We we parked the third vehicle on the street as requested however two of the neighbors did not appreciate us parking on the street and told us so. I'm not sure why this was issue and we certainly did not want to make anyone upset however it seemed the parking at this house is a no win situation. Once that was resolved the rest of the stay went fine. The home is delightful and again well equipped. I first gave them 4 stars because Mrs. Owners approach was extremely harsh however I own a VRBO home myself and I want to be fair and the house was a delight and guest will typically be dealing with the property management rather than the owners. Nice house, great conference. :-)

You know sometimes the pictures look better than the house? Well this time the house looked even better than the pictures! The neighborhood is charming and wooded, the house is spacious and tidy with extra big kitchen/living room and the sauna is heavenly! Would definitely recommend.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and cheerful. From the personal welcome sign to careful attention to detail (a hair dryer in each bathroom), the house was filled with lovely touches. The kitchen was stocked with an abundance of dishes, cooking equipment and spices. The bedrooms had soft linens; the bathrooms had excellent shampoo and soaps. Emily was extremely helpful, responsive, and friendly, even on her baby's due date. (I hope he makes his appearance soon!) Our family of six adults, three kids (one teen and two nearly-teens), and one dog had plenty of room to play all together (hide 'n seek was especially fun at night with the lights out), and also room for those who needed quiet time or peaceful puzzling. Sometimes, just sitting and watching the snow fall on the surrounding forest was perfect. We all wanted to stay longer and are trying to find a good time to come again. Thanks so much!
