The house is the nicest house we have rented in our 40 plus years of renting vacation homes. It is extremely well equipped to handle a large family/group. Brian the host was very helpful in making our stay great. There are several walking trails nearby, used the river/lake for our kayaks, easy access to antique stores, Strasburg and other shopping areas. The on site swimming pool was great. One of the best vacations we have ever taken.

All of us enjoyed our stay for the second year at Water’s Edge. We had 8 children ages 7 years down to 6 months and three sets of parents, one set of grandparents. The pool was a big hit as was the fun down along the river. That huge table for family meals was amazing! So many improvements to make it family friendly with ‘gates’ at each stairway and room darkening shades. Hoping to go back again next year. Brian is a great host!

The pictures do not do this property justice. We have stayed at water's edge several times, and every time we go there have been more improvements made. This house has absolutely everything you could ever ask for. We had a large party of 16 and there was plenty of space in the house for all of us. Our favorite place to hang out was in the huge open concept kitchen / living room area, as well as the decks that overlook the river. My four-year-old son loved watching the trains go by. It's in close proximity to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, and less than an hour drive to Hershey Park. But the best thing about this place is the fact that you really just don't even want to leave it. We had the most fun just hanging out all together fishing, playing pool, hanging in the hot tub and swimming. Brian is an amazing host and an excellent communicator. If you're looking for a place that you can relax and also feel like you're living a life of luxury at the same time, Water's edge is definitely the place to be. We can't wait to book our next stay.

Brian’s beautiful property on the water was fantastic! My family and I rented the property for a special family gathering and birthday celebration. The home was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the amenities were excellent (hot tub, pool, pool table, etc). Brian was very responsive to any questions I had. He is very thoughtful with how he stocks and prepares the property - e.g. pool toys, ice maker, and there were even retractable baby gates in front of the stairwells. This property was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I would highly recommend this property and property owner to anyone!

Everything in the other rave reviews is true! House is immaculate, baths are elegant, Brian is friendly and responsive, kitchen great for lots of cooking, loved having one table for all 16 of us. We enjoyed the games (volleyball, pool, etc.) and hot tub and pool and the trains (especially my son with ASD!) VERY valuable to us were having a bedroom and bathroom that required no stairs, reliable wi-fi despite having approximately one bazillion devices connected to it, and the awesome deck overlooking the Susquehanna. None of us were very familiar with Lancaster County, but we were all charmed by its many farm markets (local eggs and bacon and ice cream!) covered bridges and parks, which all had clear trail maps posted. But what was truly amazing was how much nature we could enjoy right on the property. The bird watching was incredible. We saw bald eagles almost every day and got to watch one for an hour as he ate a fish at river’s edge – sharing it with black and turkey vultures! A Pileated Woodpecker pecked at an old tree stump until he was dive bombed by a pair of Eastern Bluebirds which drove him off. From the deck we also saw Baltimore Orioles (and spotted their nest), Orchard Orioles, Gold finches, Cedar Waxwings, and many others. The deck is especially great if you have a nature lover in the family who can no longer go for long hikes in the woods because you can see so much while sitting comfortable outside under a fan! Great house for a multi-generation gathering!

My wedding party reunited after 40 years of absence at this house. The place was PERFECT. Clean, neat, perfectly equipped, elegant in design and execution, high quality appliances and materials throughout. There were beautiful views of the River/Lake right out back and a large yard with sports equipment and room for all kinds of activities. Lancaster area has plenty to do around the area and gorgeous. Brian was extremely accommodating and helpful at every turn. Perfect host We could NOT have rented a better location. We'll be back.

Jaw dropping amazing. Brian is the best host. Property is outfitted to meet all of your needs, even the ones you didn't think of. From the pool table, hot tub, and the variety of rooms to choose from. Well worth checking out if you are looking for a fun, restful place to stay fit a long weekend.

This is our 3rd time staying at Waters Edge. The property and views are just what we need. The owner is fantastic to work with. Our 2025 trip is already booked!

Great stay

The property is more beautiful than the pictures give it justice. We had 4 Couples together celebrating my lady's birthday. There was plenty of space for each couple to have their privacy and alone time as well as for us to come together and hang out collectively. The outdoor space is just as beautiful and inviting as the indoor space. The hot tub is a vibe. We appreciated that Brian thought thoroughly about the details /needs as he built this house and executed it seamlessly to make his guest stays an amazing experience. You can tell that this property is his labor of love. I also appreciated Brian's communication and accommodation. He helped with all of our questions and needs to pull off the birthday celebration. We would definitely choose Water's Edge again!! The only suggestions we can offer to add to this labor of love would be to add Motion light sensors near the garbage cans- It was pitch black when putting trash out at night. And we would've loved screens on the windows/ sliding balcony doors to have an option of fresh air circulating. Our guests who stayed in the basement rooms suggested an area carpet on the floors for when stepping out of bed bc the basement floors are cold.

Waters Edge was the perfect house for our friends getaway! Very comfortable for 7 couples. The dual range, dual dishwasher, extra large refrigerator, and large ice maker made cooking large meals a much easier task! Brian was a great communicator and very nice. Hope to stay again!

I booked the Waters Edge as a Christmas gift for my 5 children, their significant others, and 4 grandchildren. We spent 3 nights in this amazing house. Brian really thought of everything when he designed this house. Each couple had their own room and the kids had their own room away from their parents which was great for a good night's sleep. Having a table to fit the 16 of us was wonderful for family dinners. The kitchen was large enough to have several chefs preparing different parts of our meals without getting in each other's way. Everyone enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, firepit and trains passing by. Accommodating my large family has always been a challenge but this house met our every need and then some. Thank you Brian for creating such an amazing place for large families like mine. Those memories will be with us forever. I hope to return next year.

This house is fabulous. Our family met here to celebrate Christmas together and this was a central location for everyone. Plenty of parking space and plenty of room for everyone. Everything was immaculate and the house included a binder explaining anything you would need to know. Brian, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed and was also extremely helpful when a storm knocked out the power. Thank goodness for the backup generator! I couldn’t be more pleased with the time we spent here and we all hope to return in the future!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, our family is big and we all fit very comfortably without being on top of each other! This house is stunning, the kitchen and dining room is very spacious and equipped with everything you need! All the bedrooms and baths are gorgeous, plus the view of the river is a plus also! We where there in December and would love to stay in the summer to enjoy the pool, outdoor, grill and stuff out there. Brian was also amazing, met us when we arrived to show us around and tell us the story on the house and all the amenities it has to offer! He was very accommodating and cannot thank him enough for sharing this beautiful home with everyone! I cannot express enough how happy we were with our stay! Thank you so much Brian!!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Waters Edge! There was plenty of room for our group of 13 ages 5 months to 74. Everything is as pictured if not better. Very clean and comfy home. Can’t wait to stay again!

Water’s Edge is the perfect place to host a family gathering. This is the second year my family has rented Water’s Edge for Thanksgiving. The open floor plan on the main level makes it possible for those cooking to still interact with the rest of the family. The kitchen is very well stocked with necessities as well as many other goodies. The owner is very responsive and has made several improvements to the property since our first visit. He added a bathroom upstairs. Now every bedroom has a private bath on that level. The biggest surprise was the addition of a swing set in the back yard. The kids loved it!!! What a difference it makes to be able to send the little ones outside to play on their own private playground. The views are incredibly special. Waking up to the sunrise view over the lake is truly like a picture postcard. There is nothing better than sitting in the kitchen overlooking the lake and watching our family interact in such wonderful surroundings. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this special home!!

Where to start... This was our second time staying at this house. We stay here with 3 generations of my family, including 7 children aged 3-17. Everyone LOVES it here. If we could, we would buy the property! I almost don't want to leave a review because we want to keep it our secret. The house is huge, the beds are so comfortable, the yard is magnificent, the trains going by are exciting, and the views are perfect. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again.

Perfect was an understatement for this beautiful home! Brian was such an amazing host. The house and property were absolutely beautiful. We chose this house for our wedding weekend and rehearsal dinner party. Everyone was in aww of how every little detail was in place. It was a cozy, roomy, clean spacious home for all of us. Pequea is an amazing spot to begin with, and staying here could not have been more perfect. We will surely be back!

This was the second year our group stayed here. The newly added bathroom made the stay so much better. Everything about this house is great. The owner always goes over and above to make our stay as perfect as possible. He went out of his way to make additional ramps to make it easier to get my son who is in a wheelchair in and out of the house. Thank you Brian!

I cannot begin to tell you how awesome this property is without starting with the owners. They were so helpful and accommodating to our planned stay with them. The house is beyond cool and the kitchen is amazing. My wife and I were lucky enough to stay here to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. The game room, pool, hot tub, outside areas, river veiws, and decks were a beautiful seeting for us to commemorate out special day! We rented Brian’s house for a friends trip and it did not disappoint! The kids had a blast in the pool and on the swing set. The adults took to the lower level to enjoy the pool table and hot tub once the littles went to bed. It was the perfect set up for us and we hope to return soon! Thank you again Brian

Brian was so accommodating and helpful! You can tell that he has put his heart and soul into this house; not one detail was overlooked. We had one rainy day and there was plenty to do! In the end, the kids were exhausted and many memories were made: all the makings of a great vacation spot.

The house was absolutely spotless and the design and views were amazing! Also, it was so well stocked with everything we needed. We had so much fun hanging out on the river tubing and fishing and it was fun watching the train go by! Our group is already planning when we can go back!

This house and the land are beautiful. Brian is a great host he showed us how everything worked and came to clean the pool everyday. He was available if and when we needed him. The house is huge and beautiful has everything we needed for 15 of us. The kids loved the pool and it was very easy to keep an eye on them without having to be with them. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Even the train wasn’t bothersome. We would definitely book this property again. It was not disappointing in any way.

This was an every two year getaway for our family- parents, 4 adult kids, 3 SOs and 5 grandchildren ranging from 3-12. This house was perfect- so much space inside and out. There was always someplace to go if someone needed quiet time. The house was well equipped so it was easy to prepare meals (2 ovens, 6 burners, commercial refrigerator, separate large freezer, table for 16, 2 dishwashers). There was also a separate kitchen downstairs. Brian, the host, was the best ever- he came over when he saw we had arrived (he lives next door) to explain how everything worked which was really helpful. He also came every morning between 7 and 8 to clean the pool. He checked on us when a freak wind and rain storm came through and knocked down trees and branches and he cleaned up the fallen debris very quickly. My oldest daughter said to make sure to mention he was the most attentive host ever. We very much enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and the pool table and we bought an inflatable kayak to use on the river/lake. It is a little difficult to swim in the lake from the shore as you have to be very careful of rocks and debris in the water. Only thing I thought would be nice that we didn't have would be a couple of kayaks at the house so we didn't have to bring it. It also would be nice to have a listing of attractions within an hour of the property. The train tracks are right behind the house and some were loud-mostly on the weekend. Overall, not terrible. We highly recommend this house!

From booking to check out this property and it’s owner lived up to all of our expectations. We had a great week visiting Pequea and many surrounding towns - we picked up local produce every day and shopped small businesses frequently. If a bigger grocery was needed, it wasn’t a long drive and the scenery along the way made up for the time in the car!! The property itself was beautiful and very spacious. We had 6 adults and 6 kids under 8. We fit with ease and Brian, the property owner, was very gracious and accommodating to our every need (wasn’t much needed as the house was well stocked and clean). The walk thru with Brian upon arrival was very helpful!! The train was one thing our crew was most curious about and honestly was something we all looked forward to seeing each day. It was fascinating. One night there were hundreds of tractors on board - it was unreal!! The fridge space, separate freezer, ice machine and commercial stove/oven/griddle were clutch - great for a big crew! We never needed take out or to go out for dinner - we shared many a meals around the HUGE dining room table where we talked about day - it was amazing! Waters Edge has a lot of offer and we throughly enjoyed making memories.

Our family, coming from four different states, had a wonderful time connecting in the great Water's Edge home. Brian was super helpful. The house and all its amenities were amazing. We will be back next summer!

The perfect setting and accommodations for our group of 11! Kayaking, fishing, pool, hot tub and all the extras you could need! We enjoyed the trains too!
