Gorgeous boutique hotel, centrally located in the beautiful town of Tilcara. Would highly recommend!

The landscaping, cactus garden, decor, comfortable bed, the staff, everything!

Parking included. Spacious and comfortable room with nice private bathroom.

For the price we paid we expected to have a more exclusive experience (e.g. more attentive staff, better products selection for breakfast, facilities in the bathroom were a bit old). Considering how cheap the of Tilcara is, when spending this money we are expecting something better.

we chose staying in Tilcara due to the hotel. And it was a super choice! The hotel itself is great, comfortable, cosy and very clean. It’s quiet yet really close to the central square.

As the hotel has its own restaurant, we didn’t receive any recommendation about other places, even though there are super choices in the village. We also needed to exchange currency and although they offered the option to exchange at the hotel, the rate was way lower than the one you could find in the shops of the village, just a few blocks away, but this option was not proposed to us. As a result we had the feeling that in order to maximize profit, taking care of the guests was a little overlooked.

Everything: the room was big and clean, with a private terrace perfect to chill at sunset, breakfast was good and with gluten free alternatives, the staff was polite and professional.

Not cheap, but the price was justified by service and quality.

Staff could do with some better training in hospitality. Housekeeping practices need to be consistent. If you put up a sign saying leave your towels hung up if you don’t want them changed and you hang them up and they change them anyway, what’s the point? Front desk person has very little social skills and would be more adapt in a back office position and we are both native Spanish speakers. Finally the practice about forcing customers to leave their key every time you leave the hotel belongs in a pre world war 2 era. Not located in the best area and is kind of in the corner of town facing the slums
